So sad to report that we just got the WORST costumer service here :(. My sister stopped by to get a bunch of babies breath and was charged $ 7.50. She brought them home to put in vases to see how much more she would need. We called back to make and order and were told that we were charged the wrong amount and that the babies breath is really «five dollars more» in the rudest tone ever by the person who answered the phone. So my sister asks «so how much total is each bunch?» Again she was answered in a rude tone «well, five more dollars would make it $ 12». We could tell the florist was getting annoyed and apologized for asking so many question and asked one final time «ok so each bunch will cost $ 12?» and the response «ummmm yup». What I thought were simple question are obviously to much trouble to answer. Guess we will be bringing our business elsewhere…

I ordered flowers to my wife’s birthday trough their website during the holidays, the process was completed and approved but the flowers were not delivered.
I’ve expect their website to be updated with their working days. They did called and apologized.

Terrible. I placed an order online for a delivery that needed to arrive as at a party on Dec 27^th. The flowers never arrived and when I contacted them they responded by telling me that they were closed for business on the 27^th. Why then allow me to place an order online, take my credit card info and send me a confirmation email? So frustrating.

Boulder creek flowers (in Santa Cruz) is not only a flower shop but a bride’s dream. Stacy at Boulder creek flowers was so helpful in coming up with a vision for my wedding day flowers. I had colors and a price in mind and Stacy and all the staff at the flower shop went above and beyond to make my day so beautiful and every idea I had come to be. We did yellow flowers with blue accents. (it was amazing!) I had my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets and about 15 center pieces done. I had multiple guests at my wedding asking to take flowers home because they were so pretty.
I am so grateful that Santa Cruz has a flower shop that can cater to every individual with all different ideas and budgets. It is nice to have someone with so much experience. I could say what a flower looked like by the shape and size and she would name it. It is people like Stacy and the crew at Boulder Creek flowers that help make your special day so wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone, not only for weddings but even just getting daily flowers. If you want fresh beautiful flowers then Boulder Creek flowers is the place. We went to Boulder Creek flowers to buy flowers for my wedding bouquet. I made the bouquet myself with flowers that I picked in their refrigerator. I can’t vouch for their flower arrangement, but the selection of flowers was great (and they can special order particular types if you want them, which I didn’t do).
They also were very nice and helpful both times we went, giving me advice about when to buy the flowers, how to store them, and even giving me step by step instructions about how to make the bouquet and what materials to use.

I’m finally getting around to writing this review after a couple months of contemplation. We got our wedding photos back, and my dissapointment has lasted. Let me begin by saying that we chose this florist soley based on the recommendation of a close friend and our venue. That being said, their key selling point seems to be that they are a «discount» flower shop. Thats not acurate, and could I go back in time, I would have gone with my gut and went with another florist after our consultation apointment.
The customer service provided here was shocking to me. I dknt know if Stacy got the vibe she could be sarcastic and snarky with me becayse Im alternative, but I did not appricate her attitude through our wedding planning process. She called me a controll freak for bringing in reference photos of what I am attracted to. (As a hairdresser, this is much appricated from clients, it makes comminication smoother) I called to change the details a couple times as our wedding theme progressed, and paid in full a few months before the wedding. I had to call her for over a month to get an idemized receipt (upon insistantance of my mother in law) but was met time in time again with this, oh its her again attitude. i finally get the idemized recipt.
Back up. I decided to do the centerpiece decorations myself, and we were to pick the flowers up bevayse they wanted to charge us something like $ 180 for delivery because they’re closed on Sunday’s. A couple weeks before the wedding, we wanted to change the flowers from sitting in a dish to a cup. Why? I was litterally so fed up with dealing with this woman that I would not go in to the flower shop to pick up the dishes, and I couldnt find them anywhere. She tried to upcharge me $ 100 for swiching from a dish to a cup.
2 days before the wedding, she calls me to let me know she was unable to get enough yellow gerbarra daisy to make both my center pieces and brismaid boques. I ask her to compensate with white ones.
The day before the wedding my mother in law picked up the flowers, and I couldmt belive my eyes. The centerpices were small boquets, totally disproportionate to the vases, and were lop sided and uneven. There were random mismatched daisys in there as filler. My bridal boquet and didnt look at all like the photo i had given her. My toss boquet was supose to be a smaller verson of my bridal boquet ($ 175 cascade boquet) but it looked like just another bridesmad boquet) I had been very clear and specifically asked that the bridesmaid boquet stems be wrapped in ribbon with toole ballorina wrap and pearls accent, and they were stems out with some royal blue ribbon wrapped around a few times and tied. I am so angry that this woman not only blatantly breached what we agreed on and talked about, but she blatantly ignored what i told her were the 2 most important details to me. I cannot belive we paid all of that money for that. I honeatly feel like we could have done a better job ourselfs, without months of attitude and a hole in my pocket. I let my venue know of my experience amd they already guessed by name who I was having an issue with. This shop has no cutomer service integrity.

So I used Boulder Creek Flowers for my wedding flowers last month, and I bought tons of flowers in bulk to do our own arrangements for tables — those were great, good quality, beautiful flowers, exactly what I requested.
The reason I am giving only three stars though, is that my bouquets (which cost cost me a pretty penny) turned out nothing like I had requested. In fact, I was kind of embarrassed of my flowers. The thing is, is that over a week before my wedding day, right after I had met with someone in person, I emailed them a photo of a bouquet that I asked them to mimic, and my bouquets came out looking NOTHING like the photo I had sent. Also, the day of when my mother in law picked up the flowers, they forgot to make the boutonnière and when we called back, they claimed it wasn’t on the order, and then eventually they realized it was, so last minute we had to drive all the way across town to pick it up.
Five stars for quality of flowers, two stars for how my bouquets came out, averaging 3 stars…

Not recommended for ordering on line. Even though I’m local and the delivery is nearby was charged a $ 10.00 Wire Fee — $ 12.00 Delivery charge.
I understand Beth T’s comments the manager needs training in customer service and is poor at communicating with dissatisfied customers and offering acceptable resolution. Very defensive — not customer service oriented

Boulder Creek Flowers works directly with the growers so that keeps their prices reasonable. I choose this location first on price, second on how lovely the bouquets looked on their website and third on their friendliness and expertise.
We had a consultation with Brianna about our wedding flowers and what budget we had to work with. Initially, I wanted calla lilies for myself and all the bridesmaids. She explained the price and also the difference of in-​season versus out of season flowers and how much the flower would be opened as a result of having to bring them in. She worked with us to get us exactly what we wanted at the price we could afford. I ended up going with roses for the bridesmaids and small white callas in my bouquet and for my husband’s boutonnière.
My husband and I used this place to provide floral centerpieces, boutonnieres, my bridal bouquet, and all of the bridesmaid’s bouquets

BCF and Stacey did the flowers for my wedding this past Sept, 8 2012. Stacey did an absolutely gorgeous job on our flowers. I even had my bouquet freeze dried cause I was so sad to see it go! Stacey can really think on her toes to. A few says before the wedding I got a call from her saying they couldn’t get all the Dahlia’s for my 8 bouquets. She gave me a few flower choices to pick from. And I told her to go ahead and do what she thought looked good since she’s the artist and I know nothing about flowers. Our bouquets came out stunning! I chose purple Lisianthus, purple Dahlias, blue Bella Donna, green Hypericum Berries and Peacock feathers (i provided the feathers). Stacey substituted a few of the Dahlias in each bouquet with white Roses in mine and a beautiful green Roses in my bridesmaids. WOW! What a pop of color they were. Looking at my wedding pictures today almost brought a tear to my eye how well everything turned out. A perfect match for a perfect Garden Wedding.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

I would defiantly not recommend BCF. I put my order in for my daughters wedding weeks in advance, was never told there was a possibility that some of the flowers would not be available. Three days before the wedding I get a call from them telling me that the mini callas I ordered for the bridal bouquets were not available, no apology, no let us see what we can do or we’re working on it, just kind of an oh well attitude. However they did have the other flowers I ordered, so all was not lost or so I thought. The other flowers that I ordered were in such sad shape that I could not use them wilted and falling apart, and the one stem of yellow orchids was a muddy yellow and they were wilted as well.
Thanks to my amazing friends and the help of another florist I was able secure the perfect flowers at half the cost and they were absolutely stunning, better than anything I’ve ever seen at BCF.

The flowers and arrangements I ordered for my wedding were beautiful but unfortunately my order was not complete when my dad went to pick up the bouquets and boutonnieres. We were missing the flower girls bouquet and all of the groomsman boutonnieres and all the family arrangements. This was more than half of the order. I do have to say that when they realized this error they made the effort to quickly fill the rest of the order and deliver them up to the venue (fortunately we were just up the street). The woman also stayed to pin the boutonnieres on, which we had not paid for. Overall it worked out but added a lot of unnecessary stress to an already stressful day. Thank you to the woman who fixed the mess (sorry I don’t know your name) but I probably wouldn’t recommend BCF because I would not want anyone else to have to stress about flowers on such an important day.

I got a gorgeous bouquet from them from my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, it started wilting as soon as the chill was gone off of the water/​vase. I contacted them and they explained that during great big flower holidays like V-​day, sometimes their suppliers have flowers in cold storage, and you can’t always control the supply… BUT I showed up with my empty vase and she filled it full of flowers I picked myself out of her fresh supply as a replacement offer. Awesome friendly people and a great local business. We’ll be back!

The ladies here are wonderful and know their flowers! They provided the beautiful orchids for my centerpieces (plus extra at no extra charge), flowers for the family, and my bridal bouquet which was GORGEOUS. I deployed to Iraq shortly after placing my order and let them do whatever they wanted, I just chose the colors. My photographer, Neil Simmons, even complimented on how gorgeous the bouquet was, and he’s seen tons. Wonderful ladies and gorgeous flowers, highly recommend!

This place saved me from a flower disaster! I had purchased a sub-​par Hawaiian lei and was scrambling to find something better. I called and even though they closed in 15 minutes she told me to come down because they had exactly what I wanted. Sure enough I walked into the cooler and there was what I wanted, plus it was cheaper than what I had originally purchased. Staff was so friendly and helpful, answered all my questions! Thank you thank you!

I walked into Boulder Creek Flowers a week before my wedding this July, a desperate bride in need of help. All of the women in the shop worked with my mother-​in-​law and I to create a flower design that would work with our budget, venues & wedding style. I am so grateful for their extensive knowledge & expertise as well as their willingness to work with such a last-​minute customer. They went out of their way to make sure my desires were met and I couldn’t have been more satisfied. Of course, it did help that my mother-​in-​law took care of the bill, although their prices did seem competitive within their market.

Boulder Creek Flowers is the perfect blend of selection, elegance, expertise, and value. For a fraction of other florists’ cost, you get the same (or better) service, advice on style/​looks of flowers, seasonal offerings, and the most «how to» you could hope for. They even offered suggestions of where to find less-​expensive items that they have to sell at a greater mark-​up, though their prices are still very reasonable.
I highly recommend Boulder Creek Flowers! Conveniently located in Santa Cruz, and super-​friendly staff make this a no-​brainer the next time you need anything.
As a bonus, we even got a coupon for a dozen roses to use on our 1-​yr anniversary. Such a nice, thoughtful «coupon!»

This is a great place with a tremendous variety of cut flowers. Get this: they’re discount!
I bought a marvelous bouquet of stargazers @ $ 2.95/stem. I bought 4, paid $ 12, and have an amazing upscale bouquet on my dining room table. It’s huge. And they’ve lasted a week already; looks like they’ll last another week.
This place is great for flowers for a wedding, a party, Christmas – or whenever you want a little extra joy in your life. And don’t we all need that, once in a while?

I also ordered my wedding flowers from this vendor. My sister and I spent many hours looking at flowers and selecting the perfect roses and greenery for our bouquets and decorations. We consulted the florists several times before placing our order, and were assured that our flowers would be no trouble at all. In looking at flowers and answering our questions, the staff were always cordial but never went out of their way to provide service.
The day before my wedding I received a phone call informing me that they wouldn’t be able to get the dark red roses that I had ordered after all, nor any similar. I was forced to change my order completely at the very last minute, and the new roses didn’t match the other colors at my wedding so well. I know that Boulder Creek Flowers made an effort to find the flowers at the last minute, and did locate a couple of bunches, but ultimately they were unable to fill the order that they had insisted «would definitely be no problem,» and I was extremely frustrated by their attitude which was not apologetic in the slightest. I was told that the problem was that the growers just didn’t have those particular roses that week, and they had no way to know that this would happen and it was basically just too bad for me. I had ordered my flowers far in advance, and am sure this vendor could have checked with their growers earlier or, the very least, pretended to care about the added stress and complications. No one ever said «I’m sorry» or offered any consolation or compensation of any kind. Had they been more gracious about this complication I would undoubtedly be more forgiving, but the last thing a bride wants the night before her wedding is to be insolently informed that the florist can’t come through for them, without even the pretense of interest or concern!
In the end the flowers were pretty and we were able to make a lot of bouquets. Of course our wedding was lovely, and since it was small and informal I didn’t really mind too much that the color of the replacement flowers clashed with our wedding ensemble. I might even use Boulder Creek Flowers again, but probably only for a small event, and I would only order the most standard and basic options — no specialty flowers at all. And of course, I would be prepared for complications.
