After 11 years in business we have only had one complaint (and it was from a groupon customer who is clearly crazy, after we did 7 hours work for her $ 69 purchase). Everyone we work for keeps us forever and tells all their friends. Please note that other 1 star reviews are from people who we have never met or worked for and that Groupon ripped off by taking their money and not paying us. We are working on getting them flagged and we are also still honoring expired groupons in one way or another.

Established in 1999.

Before we founded our business in 1999. I worked for Four Seasons Sunrooms installing new sunrooms on homes and I was the best window cleaner on staff so I then began to take on window accounts. Soon I was working for myself because I am a very nice guy that people enjoy having in their home or business. I am also very thankful for all the work we get.

I called on a Sunday in between storms. My gutters were overflowing and I worried they would fall off or the eaves would get too drenched and rot.
Chris answered the phone and came out the same day. He was incredibly polite and knew all about roofs and gutters. I had full confidence in his ability. He came out the same day with his equipment and cleared the gutters of over 40 pounds of mostly sludge from the roof in less than an hour.
I highly recommend ASC. They are trustworthy, fast and reasonably priced.
Five stars for excellence, speed, attitude and affordability.

ASC Window Cleaning has cleaned our windows inside and out three times in the past five years, and we have no plans to have any other business do the job. Chris is reliable and conscientious, he does an excellent job, stands behind his work and he is meticulous. He obviously takes pride in his work. He is clear about giving an estimate, which includes a maximum, and he explains what the job includes. And then he always goes over and above. I can’t recommend him highly enough. Are there six stars?

Chris cleaned our windows today. It has been awhile since our last cleaning. He was quick, friendly and the windows look great. He even scraped off some paint spray that was on a few of the windows… that is above and beyond service.
I’ll be calling him back on a regular basis now.

Chris is an exceptionally nice person and very easy to work with. Besides that, he and Cassie did a great job on my windows. We have a lot of windows and they cleaned them all, including skylights, sills and screens. Chris has been cleaning our windows and gutters for a few years and he always does an excellent job for a great price. I highly recommend ASC Window Cleaning.

I went through Unilocal listings calling businesses one by one for a quote on an apartment window cleaning. I told the same thing to each company. Some refused to give me a quote with just the number of windows and location and instead needed to schedule a separate visit. Chris gave me his minimum price based on this information, said he’d tentatively stick to that, and we chose a time that worked for me.
The day before, he confirmed. The day of, he and his assistant showed up and made the windows and screens spotless. Apparently the job was bigger and took more time than he expected, but he charged us the same price.
Chris was very professional and friendly. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a quick, professional, reasonably priced window job.
I’m not too sure of some of the other ratings on here. I personally had an excellent experience.

Ive had ASC do the windows on my parents house for years. I consider the owner and his helper friends now, so I was very surprised to see that people have left him reviews that are not 5 stars. When we spoke this week he explained that only one negative review is from people he has never worked for and the others are from an unfortunate situation that happened with their second Groupon where they kept $ 2000 they took from customers that they were supposed to pay to ASC. I told him that I had bought one of those Groupons too and he still honored it for me by giving the same deal even though I had already been refunded by groupon and expired. He said that the one review that says BEWARE is from a client that is just plain crazy and he is meeting them in court this Friday to sue them and that it is unfortunate because now they have to start making people sign work authorization forms and maybe even raise rates a little to deal with people like this. They are very kind people, hard workers, and they love what they do. I don’t understand how anyone could leave them a bad review and you will agree when you meet them. I highly recommend ASC.

BEWARE! Chris, the owner of this business, is emotionally unstable. We had to put a restraining order on him to stop him from coming to our home and calling at all hours of the night yelling at us. Here is what happened to cause this harassment:
I had used Chris for 2 consecutive years previously and was very happy with his work. So I hired him last week to do all the windows in my house, in and out, for $ 300.00 He was 1 hour late, arriving at 10:30. Then throughout the day he was on his cell and hanging out at his vehicle. At 4:30, he had not finished the outside and had not yet started on the inside. In the past, Chris took half of the day to clean the inside of my house, since I have a lot of windows, and a lot of valuable breakables near the windows. So, at 4:30, I told Chris that I think he should just finish the outside and I’d pay him for that. This escalated into screaming and threatening both myself and my husband. Chris then agreed with my husband to accept $ 200 to just finish the outside of the house. Chris did that, accepted the $ 200., and then demanded the extra $ 100.00, which we refused to pay him. He is now on a campaign to collect the rest of the money. He even Unilocaled my husband’s business, pretending to be a customer, and gave my husband a one star. This morning I agreed to give him the extra $ 100, just to stop the harassment. But now his new demand is that I give him a 5 star on Unilocal.I couldn’t do that since it might allow a future customer to go through this stress that we are experiencing. It is not over yet!

Chris came over and cleaned our windows today. I am impressed.
He and his helper were courteous, methodical and detail-​oriented. This is a professional who cares about his work. He was knowledgable about the window tints used in our house and took special care with them. He also managed to gently remove some paint spots that the painters left on my windows 6 months ago.
And, as a bonus, the price was great.
I will definitely call him again.

I am shocked at the tough reviews about deals with this company, as the service quality couldn’t be better!
ASC is simply an amazing service provider for both gutters and windows. My dad found out about this company and was stoked with results, so referred them. Chris (owner) has done my gutters twice, both times with very good results. My house is difficult to access, and he was able to get them clear. Yesterday, I asked him to clean my windows. I am pretty clean, and I actually cleaned the windows a couple days before he arrived (yes, I would pre-​clean before the cleaning arrives too). He made them look like brand new! I am talking the highest quality of glass cleaning that I have ever seen. He was meticulous and SCRUBBED the little fly droppings and sap spots and hard minerals off each of my windows and they look great. Never did I have to point anything out, including doing the random window in my garage, etc. Chris is SUPER accommodating, and totally worked around whatever room I was in, and made the process a breeze. I have had a couple other companies try my windows, but did not call back after less-​then results. ASC will be back– highest level of service and quality results!

ASC is THE best window cleaning service I have ever used. Their work is simply better than the other two window cleaning services I have tried in Santa Cruz. ASC is very careful and very neat, accommodating, thorough, conscientious and always a pleasure. Their prices are less than the competition but their work is far superior.

I have to echo everyone’s complaints about the Groupon. After several calls in the spring, I finally got a call back in June. He told me that he was backed up but since my house is small he would call when in the neighborhood and take care of it. That call never came. It’s October and I finally got someone to pick up the phone. He will not honor the Groupon unless I purchase other services. This guy is a liar and I’m now trying to get my money back from Groupon.

Reading the other 8 reviews here, I almost cannot believe that I was dealing with the same company.
Like many others probably, I bought a window/​gutter cleaning service from ASC as a Groupon.
It is safe to say that this was, hands down, the worst business experience I have ever had in Santa Cruz in over a decade.
The story is simple. I bought the Groupon, and I called ASC to make an appointment. It took them a week and a half to call me back. And yes, I left additional messages. Needless to say, my experience was frustrating from the get go.
Eventually, I made an appointment. The gentleman, who I gather is this Chris others are referring to, told me he would call the day before and confirm the appointment. He never did. Then, he didn’t show up. After about two hours of waiting for him, I called and asked where he was. He said simply, «Well, it’s raining.» I said, «Yes, I noticed, but we had an appointment.» I explained quite clearly that usually when you cancel an appointment, which I could even understand in the case of window cleaning in the rain, you usually call your clients to explain the cancellation and maybe initiate the rescheduling of the appointment. I mean, right? Is that not just common courtesy and maybe even good business sense!!!
Anyway, we rescheduled– and at this point I am very weary, but I have this freaking Groupon and I WANT MY FREAKING WINDOWS CLEANED. Again, he says he will call the day before to confirm. He never did (shocking right?). He didn’t show up. Its been a few days, he hasn’t noticed that he missed an appointment, hasn’t called, nothing. Honestly, I don’t get it.
Way too frustrated to deal with him AGAIN– I called Groupon and told them the story. They credited my account the full cost.
My advice– call another window and gutter cleaning and save yourself three weeks of misery, and have some clean windows, which, I still don’t.
