Academy Surf Lessons Santa Cruz is dedicated to the teaching all ages surf lessons from beginners to the every day thrill seeker. Our Academy Surf instructors have EMT and lifeguarding experience and specialize in safety with children and adults. We start off the lesson with a 20 minute beach warm up and instruction that goes over many subjects including surfing techniques, etiquette, and safety. This beach lesson gives the students time to become acquainted with the surf spot and to be comfortable and confident once they enter the water. All of our wet suits and boards come with the lessons so you only have to bring a smile! At Academy surf we take pride in teaching our students surfing skills, water safety, and surf etiquette while maintaining a fun positive attitude. Our passion is the ocean and we look forward to sharing it with you.

We hope to expand to beach work outs and stand up paddle yoga soon!

History

Established in 2014.

Academy Surf Lessons Santa Cruz is a team of individuals who have been working in the surf lesson and surf tour business for over ten years. While some of our teachers have been surf guides is other countries some have just been teaching and surfing the Santa Cruz waters their entire lives. We started Academy Surf Lessons Santa Cruz so we could showcase our waterman skills while teaching the public about surfing.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Anders has been teaching surf lessons for over 10 years. He began teaching surfing lessons in Santa Cruz in high school. He then became a lifeguard and EMT and taught surfing lessons and guiding while acting as a medical aid in Indonesia. When Anders started Academy Surf Lessons Santa Cruz he had one goal in mind. To teach the public how to surf and respect the ocean.
