We are a general full service auction house located serving the Monterey Bay and San Francisco Bay areas. We Specialize in estate and business liquidation.

History

Established in 1981.

The Business has been located in Santa Cruz County for over 30 years. In September of 2010 the auction house changed hands. Doug Woolard is the new owner and auctioneer. Ann Sydes still conducts charity auctions. Currently A&A Auction Gallery is located in a business park next to Costco in Santa Cruz.

the stench of pot being smoked outside during the auction and the crowd now a days has this auction house rate with the same degree as the «bargain barn» for good will. Yes there may be deals, yes you may have to sit thru hours, and yes you can connect up with vendors at the flea. The class of auctionhouse that was run on 41st, is not this one. All i can say is i hope the employees feel different… they work very hard, and are most helpful

WOW. The new owner abviousely has never ran a auction before or have a vast or even general knowledge of items he is selling! After going this auction house for almost 20 years I thought I would go check out the new owner and how he runs it. He said things like” could be Chinese could be Japanese you looked at it”. One other item he was like could be gold could be brass. This guy is a real tool. Sad to see Santa Cruz have such a bad Auction.

A and A is a fun place to find interesting furniture, antiques and other goodies! It has a family atmosphere, from the owners, to the people who work there. Very entertaining to watch everything going on as the auction progresses. My kids love it too! They have items to fit any budget, from the silent to the live auction. If you have some nice items to sell, they get you a good price for them, it much easier than dealing with consignment shops or trying to sell them otherwise! Go check it out some thursday night, They have a new location near Costco in Santa Cruz, bigger, full of more good stuff!

A lot of junky items. Once in awhile they have some higher end stuff but not very often. When they do the prices are SKY HIGH. The worst part is the lady auctioneer. She is absolutely the SLOWEST auctioneer I have ever heard. I have been to over 50 different auctions from all over and in different states and this auctioneer is horrible. SO slow. I would not call it auctioning, just talking slow. Most auctioneers can get through 100 lots AT LEAST in one hour. This place, your lucky if she gets through 40. WAY too boring for me… they have to have A LOT of items I want before I can bear to go sit through this…
