The food is really good. However if you’re low on time call ahead. It’s not fast food so it takes about 10 minutes. The portion sizes are generous and the tzatziki is really good as well as the tahini and hummus. My daughter who is 3 loves the chicken shawarma and so did I. We will be back!

I love Sam’s Flaming Grill! Hard to imagine all the negative reviews. I’ve never had a bad experience here! The chicken shawarma and falafel plates are my favorite! I always eat too much here! The portions are double for what you pay, which is awesome! Some for now and later :) I love their hummus, it’s delicious! The service is always friendly and helpful, too! I will continue to come to Sam’s Flaming Grill and would recommend it to family and friends!

Its great now to have the option to try and eat different authentic dishes. The chicken shawarma is amazing as it melts in your mouth. Their rice is very tasty .All items on the menu are very healthy and good to eat. Its good for all ages and very family oriented. Affordable prices. Take outs are also easy the you wanna stay home but you want something special to eat without having to enter the kitchen nor spent a lot of money. Thumbs up.

My family and myself have ordered take out about 10 different times. Usually on Monday’s and The food always tastes good. Never dry and I think the price is fair for the amount of food that you’re getting. We keep coming back and we’re pretty picky eaters. We also know how important costumer service is considering that we also own a restaurant. My one and only complaint is that we’re always told 15 – 20 minutes over the phone when we’re picking up but when we get there we wait an additional 10 – 15 minutes. It is no big deal but it is a little annoying. And they’re somewhat unorganized. Again, no big deal but it is worth mentioning and also, it is easily fixable so hopefully they’re willing to make the change. Give it a try though. It is definitely worth the wait, haha!

The food is very expensive and the food itself is mediocre. The taste is not bad but really awful deals and what you are paying for. There never seems to be anyone walking into this place at any time at all. It is dead majority of the time but that’s because they overprice everything on the menu. 25 $ for a plate 20 $ for a kabob, cmon lower the dang prices.

I suggested this place to my boyfriend because I have eaten at the Canyon Country location and liked it. We walked in and the décor was confusing. It looked like a Mexican restaurant. There was absolutely no one inside at around 1pm. Strange. My boyfriend ordered a half chicken plate and paid. The food was ready to go in about 10 mins. Sauce is extra which is clearly stated but my boyfriend is an idiot, lol. Took it home which is about 2 miles away and the food did not taste fresh and the chicken was dry. The garlic sauce was good, but overall not worth the price.

I don’t like to give bad reviews, BUT… The workers at this place are VERYRUDE. They don’t smile and they give dirty looks, especially the women. The food is good but come on people !!! You need to make us feel comfortable. And that we definitely do not. Bad job with customer service !

An unplanned stop for dinner before getting some gas, then heading over to Sylmar to Astoria Nursing Home. And actually not bad for the most part. I had the Beef Kabob plate, while my wife tried the Chicken Shawarma. The meats were prepared just right but the hummus had way too much garlic; overwhelming even. My wife’s salad tasted not quite washed enough but mine was fine, and my rice was perfectly cooked. Overall a decent meal, though they need to step up the wait time which was too long.

Uncle Ben’s rice with Rubbery over cooked chicken. The workers there, NEVER wear gloves, and when they do, they are doing all the same things with their hands and never switching them out. They handle money and then fold your pita bread. I have watched them on over 5 occasions NOT wash their hands, and scoop rice, and fold bread. Plus, this place smells like Fecal Matter ALLTHETIME! They leave the back door open to the restaurant, where there are Dumpsters for 6 other businesses around them. Worst Customer Service! Worst Smell! Cheap Food! Horrible Hygiene. Pure Lazy Workers! I know two people that use to work there, both told horror stories of what went on behind the counter. SOFILTHY! I know a restaurant in San Fernando who purchases their food products from the same place you do, and they make it AMAZING, especially in comparison to you. This place went down hill, being cheap, and hiring failures. Equivalent to eating in a Mortuary.

I really like their food– had beef and chicken kabobs, rice, hummus and salad catered for a small party. All delicious. But am giving only 3 stars because of the service. I had several coupons from our local magazine and she refused to accept any of them saying that I was already getting a «good deal». However I paid exactly what their standard menu price is– $ 109.99 for catering for 8 – 10 people! Total lost leader advertising just to get people in the door. Don’t bother offering coupons if you’re not going to accept them.

So, I went back about a week after my previous review and was helped by the nicest young guy. Definitely not the guy that helped me the last time. I told him about my previous experience and he genuinely seemed concerned. I tried to describe the kid from last time because it was awful, but this guy definitely made up for it :)

Read great reviews for this restaurant so I thought I’d give it a try. I ordered the chicken shwarma plate with rice, Greek salad and pita bread. I thought that $ 13.50 was a little high, but the reviews it was given made we decide to stay and have dinner. The chicken was tasty, but quite salty. A couple of the chunks of chicken were nothing but pure fat. It was listed in the menu as chicken breast, but it came in chunks and had a different type of consistency that I couldn’t quite describe. The portion of rice was generous, tasty, but unfortunately overcooked. The salad was tasty, but the dressing was flavorless. The piece of pita bread however, was the highlight of the dinner. Even though there was nobody else in the restaurant, the waitress was unfriendly, unattentive, and didn’t ask me once if everything was okay. Needless to say, I won’t be revisiting this restaurant, but I’m glad I got to try it out to see what everybody was raving about.

Atrociously bad. If this is what people in Santa Clarita call«Mediterranean», I suppose I understand why they refer to Outback as a steakhouse. Piss-poor quality food that caters to the lowest common denominator. Extremely overpriced, Americanized slop. Also, the wait time was ridiculous. I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my enemies. «If you put this place in an area like North Hollywood, it would be out of business in a month. I guarantee it.» –The Men’s Wearhouse guy

First time at Sam’s today. Coworker of mine recommended the family and I stop in. Didn’t know it was Mediterranean BBQ type of place, which we always enjoy Zankou Chicken. However this is no ZC. Sams Shawarma Beef & Chicken rack face the register and look like it had been sitting out for a day or two cooked and reheated again and again almost beef jerky like. However going against my better judgement and not wanting anything super heavy we chose beef shawarma wraps and fries. Just as suspected the beef tasted old dry and very tough. I’m assuming shawarma just isn’t their strongest dish here at Sam’s and will try 1 more time and opt for a plate that needs to be cooked, like the kabobs. My co worker said this place is great so I’m assuming he didn’t get the shawarma wraps lol !

Worst service I have ever encountered. Took 30 minutes for my beef shawarma plate to be ready. It came with rice when I had ordered fries instead and it was missing the pita and sauces. Two dickheads wearing backwards hats were working alone when they should have been supervised. One was in the back the whole time while the other shuffled around the cooking area with confusion. Another patron was told his order was ready but it turns out they forgot his salad. It took ten more minutes to prepare it. Also they closed the doors and locked up at 8pm instead of 9pm the regular closing time. They ran out of hummus for a guy and they don’t have any plastic cup lids. This was an awful experience. Such a shame because the location on copper hill is phenomenal and the staff is lovely there.

This place is walking distance from me and I wish I could visit a lot more because it is the bomb. However, there are a few things that continue to remind me once I’m there about why I’m not there often. What’s holding me back: 1. Time it takes to receive food 30 – 40 min or more for 2 plates 2. Expensive lunch 13 $ /plate 3. Tables inside are usually dirty Overall point #1 is what causes me to find somewhere else for lunch. Bricks is usually a lot faster/or Jimmy Deans. If I’m not pressed for time and I have a lot of time to kill I’ll go here. Pre-ordering is also an option.

We were excited to try something new and stopped into Sam’s for lunch, but couldn’t have been more disappointed. If you’ve ever had authentic Mediterranean or Middle Eastern food, avoid this place. If you’ve given this place 5-stars, you probably eat a McDonald’s, too. Upon entrance and seeing the beef and chicken on stationary rods behind the cashier we knew there was going to be an issue. The chicken and beef looked old, had no juice coming off it and appear to be sick. Meanwhile, we were here and gave it a try. The beef was a dry as a potato chip, hard as leather and the chicken shawarma was also dry, full of gristle and fatty. I can’t believe they would serve this. Obviously, we ate a few bites and left the rest, filling ourselves with the rice, quality salad and hummus and leaving with no intent to return. On the way home, we saw an El Pollo Loco and both agreed the food was better there.
