If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I locked my self out of the house and had to call a locksmith. When I called Safeway they told me they could have someone out in 15 min I couldn’t believe it. They showed up in 12. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a lock smith. I will use them again.

I am very pleased with the work that Moody did with changing our locks. He was very fast and professional. I will definitely refer Safeway Locksmith in Valencia to everyone.

Last week I had the misfortune of someone breaking into my business. It leaves me in a position of having to find a locksmith who is reliable and trustworthy. I came across Moody from our neighbor who also got broken into days prior. Hands down have to say that my experience with Moody was pleasant from the job done all the way to the pricing. If you’re looking for a locksmith that’s upfront and honest, this is your guy.

Wish there was a spot for 0 stars! I can’t STAND THIS GUY! I see people saying they paid $ 25 — $ 35 for a key made for their car. That’s nothing!!! This jerk charged $ 130 for my car key!!! It didn’t feel very secure to begin with but life got in the way before I could get back to tell him & next thing you know the key busted right in my ignition one morning! I went right back to tell him I needed him to replace it for free & he said he would not do that & he wanted me to print out my credit card statement to prove I purchased it from him then he would give me a «discount» on another key! Why the heck would I want to purchase another faulty crap key from this cutting corners jerk?! I went over to Valencia & Newhall locksmith on camp plenty in Canyon Country & they replaced my key for $ 23 and it felt very secure unlike when Safeway handed me my key. Valencia & Newhall have great customer service! I would highly recommend them over this idiot!!! You better believe I let him know I was going to leave him a bad review on Unilocal.I guess he doesn’t care about his customer service one bit. Shows what a good business man he is.

I’ve never taken the time to write a review but I must say, Moody, the owner of Safeway is one of the most charming as well as professional persons I’ve dealt with on a business scale. As soon as he arrived, he began working completing the job in record time. I was very satisfied and he we just a great guy all the way around… THANKS Moody!!!

I highly recommend this place for all of your locksmith needs, automotive or otherwise. They were very pleasant to work with and gave me a great deal on two new keys for my car, including programming the transponders and all of the electronics. I saved hundreds of dollars over what the dealer would have charged me.

I’ve used Safeway for my Valencia industrial center business for the last 5 years. They have been very courteous and do not sell me on things I don’t need … Great work, and even better support if we lose a key (which happens a lot)… The owner Moody is typically the one who goes on the installation calls, ask for him!!!

My mailbox lock was broken. I called Friday afternoon and they came out at 9 am Saturday morning (my request — they offered to send someone out that afternoon but I had to go to work) and installed the new lock for $ 85! If only the rest of life’s problems could be solved this easily…

They’re in a little kiosk booth in the same shopping center as black angus and where pavilions use to be… Across from target. Anyway, they’re right at the four way stop sign in the middle of the shopping center. It’s so small, it’s like a parking garage security booth size place… Maybe two people can fit in there at the most. Looks like the owner and one of his nephews work there. Anyway, I bought s blank key from Amazon for a little more than $ 5, then had him cut the special key… No teeth on the outside of the key, it’s on the inside. The chip transferred easily into the new fob, and he cut it without my car there. The nephew said did he tell you it’s not guaranteed? After we paid him $ 32 cash. It didn’t fit the car, so i took it back Tonight after work and he filed it down to make it fit. Yay! He was half the price of the other 4 star Unilocal place on Lyons ave, and the other guy in canyon country never called me back! So, it only took 2 tries, but I’m satisfied!

Excellent customer service; these guys were here within minutes. Plus the guy took his time to make sure the key was a perfect fit. I highly recommend this place to everyone in the Santa Clarita Valley

This business did a great job changing and Re-​keying all of my doors in my newly purchased home. The owner, Moody came out the same day I called (within 30 minutes) and completed the job quickly and neatly. I recommended this business for all of your security needs! They are reasonably priced and very efficient !!

This guy is awesome — he couldn’t help me but gave me the number of someone who could. That’s a stand up guy in my book. The 4 stars is for great customer service I would have given 5 but he couldn’t do what I needed.

Horrible. Don’t waste your time or money! I had a spare key made for my husband’s truck. He didn’t have the right one and cut a key anyway. Charged me $ 7.99. The key never worked I brought it back to get my money back. He said bring the truck. Pretty sure if you were a good «locksmith» you don’t need the vehicle to make a copy of a key!!! Basically refused to refund my money.
Second epic disastrous key problem from this unprofessional key-​osk. He charged my Step Mom in Law 6.99 per simple house key. My key bent in the lock of my Grandma’s apartment. I have never had a key bend and break. I WILL NEVER go to these people again! Bad business men and horrible key cutters.

I broke a key in the lock of my RV. I tried my limited supply of tools on it and couldn’t get it out.
I called Moody at Safeway Locksmiths and he met me at my RV storage location and in a giffy he had it fixed.
I later called around to Moody’s mini store in the Mall by Cold Stone ice cream store. There he cut me a new key and we chatted.
I had been considering getting a more secure front door lock at home, similar to those is seen in my families doors in Ireland. Moody advised against them, he knew exactly what I was referring to he called them German locks. He said the quality of those being brought into the US was not good enough and he had trouble finding parts
Based on that I’ll wait a bit.

This man is a joke. He claims to know everything about my key that needed to be cut for my car. I already tested the key fob and it works perfectly. Instead he assumed that it will not work even though the key was specifically made for my car. The man is quite rude and didn’t even bother to put down his phone while speaking to me. I’d give 0 stars if I could. Highly unprofessional and told me it would cost $ 25 to cut a key that he did not provide.

Unfortunately this place is way overpriced, Double what any other locksmith would charge. I’m a big believer in going to a locksmith for getting keys made correctly, they do it right and with the right equipment. This is the third time now and I’m done. Convenience my ass I don’t like being ripped off. Home Depot charges $ 1.85 for this key, A locksmith retail price would charge me $ 3.25for the key he charge me $ 5.54. This is a small key to a small lock. It is a standard key standard lock nothing special. I don’t mind paying a little bit more for a professional, but I don’t need a professional to screw me either. I think he picks and chooses the price when you walk up to his little booth.

(Serviced 03÷05÷13 TU @ 3pm): I’m not mon-​keying around; I’m locked and loaded on this shack the next time a key is needed to be copied!
I’ve needed to make a copy of the key to the front gate door of my pad since I moved in over six months ago, so I finally went to my favorite OSH Hardware store in Burbank where I’ve had keys copied on numerous occasions. When I recently went in and they checked out my key, they didn’t carry blanks for that type of key, only standard house doors and the like. But the gentleman suggested I needed to go to a locksmith, which was such a foreign concept to me.
Flash-​forward to this eventful day while I ran errands during my lunch at the Valencia Promenade Shopping Center, I’d always seen this diminutive business situated at the corner of a four-​way stop in the middle of this outdoor mall, but honestly never gave it a thought… until today. I thought, «what the fuck, it can’t hurt to ask since I’m here.» I walked up to the order window, peered inside and saw this young female who tried to get some lunch in while on her laptop. She greeted me as she finished a bite of her food (I didn’t care because I’m chill like that!) and I showed her my key. I was about to take it off its ring when she said it wasn’t necessary, so she took all of my keys, turned around, almost instantly found the correct blank like it was no big deal, and presto-​chango, the key was made! I asked how much and I was amazed when she said, «$ 3.00.» I was all too happy to give her my money. But the kicker was the cool conversation we had about Unilocal and how she was a huge fan and used it for everything. I was shocked when I got back to my car that this place didn’t have a Unilocal page… so I created one for them on the spot.
The service was da bomb! The young woman who helped me out was chill, I didn’t even need to take the key off it’s ring which was usually mandatory (I tested it when I got home and worked perfectly), I swear the key was made in less than a minute!
Parking was ample since there were in an outdoor mall. Park anywhere and walk it.
Overall, Safeway Locksmith was a safe bet when I checked them out, but it still bothered me that they didn’t have a Unilocal business page… until I added them. I found very good value based on the prices, service and experience noted above (total bill was $ 3.00, no tip required), but honestly I would’ve paid at least $ 5.00, which was the same price I’d paid at an OSH in Burbank on a fancy Disney blank. The atmosphere/​décor was literally a shack — even an outhouse — it was that small. One young female with four windows, a door, surrounded by keys and barely enough room for her laptop. The attire was totally casual, so if it weren’t for work I’d be in a t-​shirt, boardshorts, and flip-​flops. As far as I knew this place was cash only, so no credit cards accepted… which included AMEX!
