Persia Hookah Lounge

This place is one of the best restaurants that serve Persian food. I love their Beef Kabbab, it taste amazing. It is juicy and fresh. They have a great décor, tables and privet area if you like to have a romantic date. Sometime we just order our food and they deliver it to our house. I tried their food several times and I will visit them again.

Went to this hookah spot for the first time its a cool place. They got good food and prices are good as well. They got a good variety of hookah flavors and if you can’t decide the staff are always willing to let you know what’s good or what’s really popular at the moment. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good chill spot.

This meal was amazing, service and explanation of dish was superb. Hookah was a great way to end the meal will definitely come back. 5hey also have delivery. The lamb chops are a must to try.

The appetizers are excellent. The waitress is very sweet and welcoming. The food is good. All the meats are tender. The atmosphere is comfortable. I could see myself and my husband coming here for casual dining and inviting family out for a nice meal.

As far as Persian food goes, this is the tastiest restaurant available. The décor however is not amazing, very laid back. Best way to try it is to go their buffet lunch for $ 9.99 to sample the food. They have entertainment in the weekend if you want something extra besides eating.
I highly recommend trying their GHEYMEH with their basmati rice. If you love spinach then try their Ghorme Sabzi. They make the best Sabzi I have ever tasted. There is also a small secluded section separated from the restaurant seating area for Hookah which is not my thing at all, but there are a lot of people that might enjoy that also.

I brought my 3yr old son here for the buffet. I had just sat down w our plate and gave him one bite of hummus. He immediately had an allergic reaction to what I assume now is they put sesame oil or tahini in it. I knew I had to get to a drug store immediately for Benadryl. The manager at the front demanded I pay first. I hadn’t even touched my food and my son had one bite. This is all as my sons face is swelling up. Very poorly handled by them. I will never go back.

We came here on a whim tonight and LOVED IT! Farnaz, our server was really personable, and the pistachio ice cream was great! The LA RHYTHM CREW that played was a great band too! Overall an awesome date!

Persia Lounge is the best! The staff is ALWAYS really friendly and nice! The food is so good! I highly recommend everyone trying Persia Lounge! Also as an added bonus the serving hookah on the patio! What more could you want? Such a great atmosphere! I have been there tons of times and will continue to go for years to come!

The food is so flavorful, fresh, and just downright amazing. I have never left disappointed. It is locally owned and the staff is incredibly friendly!
BEST thing about Persia is the $ 9.99 «all you can eat» lunch buffet. It was what initially drew me in, and I have been obsessed ever since!

This place did not disappoint! Love the beef and chicken koobidehs. Even their chicken was juicy, and that’s pretty rare. Had the mango and coconut desserts as well and they weren’t overly sweet. Our server was amazing and gave us a great experience. Will definitely be one of our go to’s!

OMG! This place is absolutely wonderful. I drive all the way from Valley Village once week just to eat here. The food is amazing! The staff is even more amazing! The owner is flawless.
One thing why I’m so loyal to this place is because I feel at home every time I come. It’s nice to see places like this still exist. Thanks Persia Lounge! You rock! I will keep referring you!

I visited Persia lounge for lunch awhile ago and it definitely was the worst Persian food I’ve had. Growing up with Persian food, I was severely disappointed. I heard they got a new chef and gave it another shot. Boy am I glad I did! It was amazing! The portions are big (big enough to share) and the prices are great, considering the portion size. I’ve come a few times (in the evening) and the food has been consistent. The service was also great. Their hookah is also really good. It never lets me down and doesn’t burn out easily. It has a good and chill ambience when you’re sitting in the outdoor section having hookah and dinner and you can also sit inside for dinner if you want more of a formal feel. All in all, awesome place!

Great Persian food and an awesome array of desserts! I particularly like the grape leaves, served hot – as they should be. There’s even a lunch buffet I’m sure to try out.
This is a new location, but it’s the same place that was on Bouquet Canyon a few years back.

This place in SCV is a hidden gem. Locals know this Persian restaurant serves nothing but the best beef koobideh, barg and chicken kabob you’ve ever had. Trust me it’s the best! I ordered trays of their meats with their saffron rice and hummus for my son’s First Communion celebration which replaced the Roasted Pork typical for these parties and my family and friends hauled To-​Go plates for themselves AFTER they’ve already gobbled their plates clean. Yes, a definite hit for the party.
This mom and pop store started out as a convenience market then expanded to their now restaurant and hookah lounge offering live bands and bellydancing.
If you’re ever in the Santa Clarita Valley, pay a visit here in Newhall and try out their $ 9.99 lunch buffet to sample what they have to offer. It’s authentic as you can get and we’re so lucky to have them here in our little community.

I’m not often in the santa clarity/​newhall area — but I was pleasantly surprised to find a persian restaurant that had both great quality food and a nice outdoor area for smoking hookah.
Went here for a birthday. We’re armenian, so we travel in groups and order lots of food.
We had two of the appetizer combinations, which include potato salad, cucumber salad, hummus and a yogurt sauce. Everything was really good. We thought the sizes would be bigger, but considering the price it was fair.
We also had two orders of the stuffed grape leaves. The first one I had was a bit tough on the outside, but the second one was better. The flavor for both was decent.
The appetizer Tadig also seems to be popular there. I gave it a try, and it was ok, but I don’t think i’d order it again. I guess i’m not big on the crunchy rice thing.
We also ordered two meat platters for our group to share: including the Barg Kabob and the Kabob combo that comes with chicken, beef, etc. Both were really good. The Barg is actually quite tender, especially when compared to the similar looking koobideh. The chicken kabob skewers were particularly delicious and not dry at all.
The place doesn’t have much in the way of desserts, but they were accommodating and let us bring out own.
While I think you can eat outside, it was pretty full when we got there, so we ate inside and then went out. Even in the cold air it felt ok with the heaters. The hookah was well packed and service was good. Granted it’s a small places so it’s hard to ignore customers.
Overall I had a great experience and would return, though unfortunately i’m not in the area all that often.

I love Persia Lounge! It’s my favorite place to relax and enjoy with friends in Santa Clarita.
I moved to Santa Clarita from NYC and was so happy when I found out there was a hookah bar here because it is one of my favorite things to do in NYC. To my surprise it is the best quality hookah I have ever had. Really delicious flavors that taste naturally sweet and last a very long time. I miss this hookah when I go back to visit NYC!
The servers are also so friendly and attentive and always make sure my experience is good.
My favorite nights here are when the DJ comes! It is always great music and just makes the environment that much more fun.
I just recently started to also go here for the food. I first tried a beef small plate and hummus while smoking on the patio and it was so good that I was craving the food and went back for dinner a few days later. So far everything I’ve tried since then has been fresh and tasty. I really like their salmon for dinner, but for the best deal go to the AYCE lunch. It’s only $ 10 and they have I think 3 different meat that are all sooo good!!! They also have a big variety of appetizers, a salad bar, and 2 kinds of rice. Also, just a footnote their rice is perfect. I’m getting hungry for it writing about it.
I would recommend this place to anyone!

I stopped smoking stuff a long time ago. Every time I become aware of an addiction wrapping its tentacles into my neurons I rush away.
But you don’t have to worry about an addiction to stuff that burns here at the Hookah Lounge. They sell the most addictive substance any living organism encounters — food! Not only that, it is Persian, Iranian, hyper-​Mediterranean delicious food.
This gives me another opportunity to write about «How I got Persianized.» at least the part that won’t put me in Evin Prison if ever I’m in Tehran. I’ll stick to greater Tehrangeles and never have that problem.
My aunt went through college with a Tehran beauty named Mimi. Mimi intro’d my aunt to Hamid Borbor. «I am boring squared.» Hamid was the kindest person in my three year old life, speaking with me as an adult, respectful of whatever intelligence a three year old has, and sharing cool and interesting things. My sister reminded me he shared rose water sweets with us. I do not recall that. My aunt was forbidden to marry that UCLA student getting a Masters in Petrochemical Engineering. Family responsibilities required he return home in an emergency. Hamid and Mimi opened my personal door to the warmth and kindness of Iranian people.
Iranians enjoy life. The Hookah Lounge features two great pleasures, food and dance. The lunch buffet is excellent. Hanging with my Persian friends, a grill always comes out, and kebab follows soon after lighting. The center of the the lunch buffet here is unskewered kebab. Marinated chicken or skewered ground beef. Tomatoes, onion, peppers.
Two traditional stews are present, two rice dushes. It would be excellent if the foods of the day were all labeled. Then my memory would be tickled and I could be more informative.
The salad bar is Persian-​American with yogurt and lentil based sides, tossed greens, baby carrots and such.
You can feast on the buffet for the price of a menu entrée.
If you choose from the menu, try the tadiq appetizer — rice cooked over a layer of sliced potatoes cooked to a crispy brown. I’ve seen people fight with serving spoons over excellent tadiq.
You may also find the challenge to excellent Iranian cooks, Ghorma Sabzee, plus other food delights of the mideast world.
In the evenings, its dance time. My personal headlights start dimming about 10 p.m. For my Iranian friends that’s when the santour and drums come out, the chairs get cleared, and the dancing begins. You get a little of that culture during dance time at the Hookah Lounge.
Don’t let international politics and strident religious rhetoric get in the way of an expanded palate and cultural diversification. Give the Hookah Lounge a try. You can also smoke out back.
Mimi got a small part in a horror flick. She lives overlooking the SoCal seas. Her grandkids are marrying now, producing another generation of smart, hard-​working, cultured human beings. The Borbor family is out there, but I cannot find Hamid, to greet and thank for his kindness in a very unkind world.

Dined here twice already. Both times came for lunch buffet. At the time of this writing, it is now at $ 10 per person. Soda is $ 3.
As far as meat on the buffet table, they only have boneless chicken kabob and koobideh kabob. Both are delicious, but personally, I prefer koobideh kabob. It is yummy!

I’m happy I tried Persia Hookah and Lounge. I was very impressed with several things here:
1. Curtis was our server. He set the stage on expectations and we were not disappointed. Curtis has a great, positive and courteous energy about him. Having a server that makes an initial good first impression is important for repeat business.
2. The food here. Hats off to the chef! We ordered the meat platter that came with steak, beef koobideh, chicken, chicken koobideh and cherry rice (adding cherries was an additional cost). We also ordered hummus and their equivalent of baba ganush (eggplant salad). The steak was by far the most memorable tasting item. Of all the Persian-​type of restaurants I’ve been to this was now my #1 favorite. The baba ganush, with their own twist on it, was also delicious.
3. Décor was rustic/​modern. They have tables and booths. Everything was up to date, clean, taken care of and aesthetically pleasing.
4. Towards the back of the restaurant, they have an outdoor/​covered hookah area with plenty of couches to sit on and enjoy yourself. On Thursdays, Friday’s and Saturday’s they are open until midnight and like bands and music to enjoy your hookah with.
I paid about $ 85 for a family of 5 and everyone was stuffed. No drinks, just water. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but you can’t provide quality food at dirt cheap prices therefore I accept the pricing and agree with the value.
We used to go to Persian Restaurant a few miles away, but I think we have found ourselves a winner and a keeper! We will most definitely be returning here in the future.

Rather spacious, spartan, dining area with festooning of dark & light blue sheer drapery over archways in one room & as a canopy covering the entire ceiling in the inner chamber. There is discrete display of two Iranian-​looking objets d’art in the inner room, but most of the restaurant is minimalist with only the lavish draperies giving a hint of some set in the opulent & dramatic opera Shaherazade or Shahrzād in transliterated Farsi.
Be forewarned that most of the main dishes include some kind of Polo (steamed basmati rice) as a side dish or the Polo can have other ingredients incorporated into the rice.
1) I didn’t want to order an appetizer that contained rice since my main course would also have it so I choose to order their restaurant made Hummus (whom moose) which is parboiled chickpeas/​cecchi beans pureed along with a sesame paste called Tahini (tah hee née), lemon juice, garlic, olive oil. Mine was garnished with a bland California black olive from a can, red chile powder, drizzle of olive oil.
The Hummus was fresher tasting than what can be bought at Trader Joe’s or Costco, etc. A truly brined, more acidic tasting, almost leathery textured Eastern Mediterranean olive would have been a more welcome & perhaps more authentic touch. This may be a concession to more suburban, American tastes in the Santa Clarita Valley. A good Naan e Lavash/​flat bread, which is probably one of the oldest breads dating back to early Mesopotamian times even predating the Persian Empire, was a good accompaniment to the Hummus.
2) I’ve always wanted to try one of the signature dishes of Iran, namely Polo Koresh Fesenjan which is a slow cooked stew consisting of chicken, pomegranate juice, finely chopped toasted walnuts, onions, carrots, cinnamon or cardamon or saffron whereby all the ingredients except the chicken takes on a pureed, thick consistency like that of the American Chili con Carne.
There is a stewed fruit-​like scent & taste as well as a huge walnut scent, texture, & slight nutty bitterness inherent in walnuts. The sweet spices also combine with the sweetness of the carrots & pomegranate juice to give this stew its dulcet overtones. The fruit flavour is mellow at the same time rich.
In some aspects this Koresh reminds me of a Mexican Mole Poblano or Indian style curry which also has grounded many ingredients together to form a complex melding of disparate flavours into a very agreeable whole.
I tried eating the Koresh Fesenjan with the Polo with a yellow streak of rice cooked with tumeric, but the flavour of the Koresh Fesenjan was so strong, the delicate basmati rice couldn’t stand up to the rich onslaught.
Instead, I used the Naan e Lavash flat bread to scoop up the Koresh. The bread acted as a bland yet sturdy palate cleanser to the highly flavoured stew. I took the Polo home to eat the next day. I zapped the basmati rice for 30 seconds & put some raw walnut & cashew pieces on top for a really good nutty association.
1−2a) All the above was paired with Doog/​Dough which is a fermented yoghurt drink that is lightly sour & acidic like buttermilk but not as thick. It was spiked with a bit of salt to enliven the milky mixture, and dried powdered spearmint added a refreshing bouquet. This would be a nice thirst quenching beverage on a hot summer day.
The complex mixture of different ingredients, flavours, textures in the Koresh Fesenjan attests to the sophistication of the Persian kitchen which predates anything European except for the ancient advanced Greek culture which may date back to the mid second millennium bce if Mycenaean culture is included, and the Etruscans of Italy whom we know so little about in about 600 bce before the rise of Rome.
The food at the Persian Hooka Lounge is a good change from the more familiar foods found in the greater Los Angeles area. I would have to go to «Tehrangeles» in Westwood or in the West Valley on Ventura to sample something comparable. A good solid 3+ Unilocal stars for a mostly authentic seeming presentation of the Persian cuisine.
