This is a seafood buffet that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, provides quality food, and an impressive selection. Trust me, I was skeptical at first as I have been to a few of these oriental buffets and swore I would never do so again… but I enjoyed this place and I will be back again :)

Stopped by today but there is a sign on the front door that says it’s closed for renovations. I didn’t notice anyone working inside. hmmmmm.

One of the best buffets in Santa Clarita. My family and I go to Oceans Buffet at leat every other week. Their food is fresh and always hot. Their service is great, particularly their waiter Richard who is very attentive and is ready to answer any of your questions and refill your drink without hesitation. Their Sushi bar is excellent and their Tampayaki grill is great. Beats Sizzler and yes it’s an American/Asian buffet with a little bit of everything. Excellent

I like that this location is very clean unlike many other places. The food is good and their selection is good as well. I liked their sushi bar, their spicy tuna was good.

Alright, look… Its a cheap buffet and you’re a fool if you think everything in there is going to be amazing. But, I have to say, I’ve been here a few times now and the quality of food stays the same and that’s good. They have a teppan area where you mix your own seafood, beef, chicken, vegetables and what not and they cook it for you and then of course there is quite a few options of some good stuff including Todai quality sushi. You Unilocalers know that if this place sucked, it would get bad ratings but it’s been doing quite well over time. I recommend you giving it a try just once but remember… It’s just a cheap buffet… More options during dinner hours for a little extra.

Had lunch here yesterday(10÷2÷15) for the first time and I was not impressed with it. The name claims to have ocean seafood, which they do, but this is American Chinese buffet restaurant. The place was easy to find, convenient, and interior was clean. Staff was friendly, welcoming, and the place was not too busy. You will find the same basic foods here like any other Chinese buffet, nothing fancy or different. I give it 1 Star because it was not that great compared to other places. Food was cold, some was dried out, over sauced, and the pineapple was rotten. It was gross. Nothing too much to choose from in my opinion. I love Sesame chicken and they didn’t have it here. The major downfall I think is the overpriced lunch offer. I think $ 10 for a basic buffet is too much. There was nothing special for that price. Granted you get a $ 1 off via Unilocal, but it is not worth it. I would not recommend coming here. Go to Taco Bell a few feet away or somewhere else. Sorry, this place is just not worth it.

It is hard to find a good buffet but this is probably one of the best in my area. Love that is roomy, clean and many options of sushi and seafood. Employees are very friendly and help full. Don’t forget to check in and received a $ 2dlls off!

I’m sort of surprised at the overwhelmingly positive Unilocal reviews. It’s basically a Chinese buffet; all you can eat of the cheap Chinese takeout classics. The price is also steeper($ 16 for dinner) because of the seafood offerings. The interior is really spacious, which made the lack of diners for a Friday night even more obvious. Every Chinese buffet will have fried rice, chow mein, fried meats(like orange chicken, fish, shrimp), broccoli beef, cheap sushi, etc. I like to rate buffets based on what ELSE they offer. This place has a «stir-fry» station, which is honestly fairly typical as well, a wider assortment of sushi(still consisting of mostly avocado and imitation crab), some random Western food(mashed potatoes, roast beef, BBQ ribs, garlic bread), and some seafood. The only foods worth mentioning: the coconut shrimp was pretty fresh, hot and crispy with a lot coating of sweet mayo sauce. The crab legs were also surprisingly fresh; not too salty and not bad texture. Particularly disappointing were the shumai(sooo salty) and the pork buns(the filling was so lackluster. Didn’t even taste like meat.) Nothing special in the dessert department and it wasn’t a good night for the fruits either. Overall: for the price, you could get better food elsewhere. It does have a wide selection seeing as it is a buffet, but the quality is subpar.

I was quite pleased with this place. It was clean, the variety of foods were decent and they cleared away the dishes and gave timely drink refills. We enjoyed the grill with their vegetables, chicken, beef and shrimp and noodles. The sushi wasn’t bad and I really liked the mushroom chicken! I would return again.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Let me start off by saying I love buffets. And I do realize that not every buffet is going to have amazing food. But this place was just vile. I honestly do not see how it has all of these good reviews. We went around 5pm on a Monday. We were hoping going around dinner time, the food would be fresh. Every single thing I put in my mouth was disgusting. Everything. The food tasted like it had been there all day. I couldn’t even bite into the chicken on a stick because it was rock hard. The crab tasted super fishy, and rotten. The grilled pork chop tasted like it was fermented. My 5 year old daughter who LOVES cheap, frozen pizza. could not even finish her one piece it was so gross. I cannot believe we paid 51 dollars for 2 adults, a 3 year and and a 5 year old. This is by far the worst buffet I have EVER been to. Never in my life have I not been able to find a single thing to eat. 51 dollars and left starving. Will definitely never be back to this place. Do not be fooled by these«amazing» reviews.

Price is affordable! Food’s ok, the seafood average quality but plenty. I am not much of a buffet person but my Dad loves this place so I take him here every chance I get. The service is good, it’s a family owned business. The owner’s son, maybe a ten year old not much older was taking our drink orders. Overall, if you are looking for inexpensive place for a big party, this is the place for you.

Nice clean interior with terrific food selection. I would never have tried this restaurant if not for the Unilocal reviews. It’s located between Kmart and Dollar store. But the moment you walk in you know you’re in place that is several classes above it’s neighbors. The trick with buffets is to stick with a few of the best items and eat a standard portion. Easier said than done. On this first round I sampled everything and feel stuffed with a hodge podge of foods and flavors. On my next visit it will be crab legs, mushroom chicken, mandarin BBQ and chocolate strawberries. The quality of the food is definitely better than one usually finds at a buffet. The mushroom chicken for example was way better quality than one usually gets in a Chinese restaurant. The sushi is just OK. Though usually in buffets they will only have California Rolls, here they had several varieties of sushi. They have food intended for kids, pizza, fries, jello, pudding, ice cream that is kind of low quality but will keep kids happy. There is plenty of chicken and other non-fish items that will keep those who don’t like satiated. This isn’t gourmet but it’s way way better than one would expect if just driving by. My 15 year old son loved it. Friendly efficient service as well.

Just had to write this review immediately after our experience… And for those of you who knows me, I enjoy visiting buffets. And also for those of you who knows me well, you know that majority of the time I side with restaurants knowing how difficult the operation can be so a benefit of the doubt will always be applied here… But this one… simply not the case… It was yesterday, Father’s day… We were looking around and I decide to use Unilocal to see if we can find any other new buffets to visit… So happen as I was browsing Ocean popped up and we decided to go even when it’s 30 minutes or so from our location. Parking lot was large and ample… No problems Exterior seems to be clean. no worries here either… So what’s the problem? Why did they get a 2 stars review from me? Lots of things… 1) Structure of seating… we arrived around 7:45 pm knowing that the restaurant will be closing at 9:30 which should provide us with ample dining time… and this was the most absurd wait ever!!! The«manager/host/table runner/sweeper/wondering around slowly to seat customers person was uninterested and unexcited to be taking care of the customers… did you know that there was around a 35 people wait with 3 big parties of 8⁄9 people… and how they decided to seat these people(large groups) first… WITHOUT even checking with the entire line to see if there were any smaller parties that they can seat first… So a few smaller parties simply waited until these bigger parties has been seated then took their seats… they told me that they’ve waited 30 – 40 minutes to get in… 2) Sure if there is a wait then 30 – 40 minutes fairly justifies the patient of everyone… however, LOTS of tables were open! They could of seat the smaller parties first or try to combine tables to accommodate this holiday for the dads! But no, the plates and trash piled on each of the plates, workers moving slower than a snail, and they never bothered to look or ask the line anything at all! Everyone was just standing there like an idiot and watch and hoping they can be seated so they can finally eat. 3) Manager was nice… but clueless as to how she need to run the restaurant… line is long but yet you don’t check with all parties? Instead, she was sweeping the floor, picking up 3 cups at a time, and look at big tables to open up so she can seat the big parties… why not just combine tables??? Why did all these other people complaining to me about the same issue? 4) Manager was clueless… I’m not there to get a discount, but the gesture of „what can I do to make it better“ attitude would greatly appreciated. Instead after voicing out my concern and opinion… all she can say is… relax, you are here… use enjoy the food… seriously? Never once mentioned that a discount be provided as a courtesy…(I don’t need a damn 10% discount but it’s the effort of trying to make it positive» Then she completely disappeared from the place… probably eating in the back or something… 5) Bathroom… WOW… simply WOW… first thing I walked in was a place filled with hand towels all over the place. ok I can take that… however, why did one sink was filled completely by puke??? I don’t think they checked for the past at least an hour or so… where is the cleanliness? 6) Food… not so exciting… like some Unilocalers mentioned it was bland and not much available since it was getting late… I knew that was going to happen since we were there early but end up being seated by around 9:00pm… and you may ask why we didn’t leave? Father wanted to try it and also we were in the bind by time and the drive… stupid us for making the trek to this place… I truly hate complaining about restaurants because I understand the operation, work, and service it takes to run a well oiled machine… but this place clearly don’t know what they’re doing and I do hope they shape up quickly or else they will be losing customers in the near future… Tips for Unilocalers: Go early just in case… and be prepared to wait(hopefully they will change after reading this) Tips for management: If you want to run a restaurant, it takes a lot more than just cooks… Learn to take care of your initial line of waiting customers first… Then«DIRECT» your servers to clean up the mess when they see a table filled with plates and trash! Occasionally walk to the restroom to ensure that it’s clean on a basic level, and lastly, «MOVEFASTER!» This is not a stroll in a department store… you are running a restaurant here… so move like you want to run one or get someone who understands how to be a server… The business is lucky since I really hate giving one star ratings… but I do hope they improve… QUICK!

This place has poor quality food, with an okay service. I wanted to try it out as a healthy alternative. Turned out to be the exact opposite. Never again. While I was here I noticed food dropped on the floor, and the Asian guy picked it up and put it back in the tray. Do not come here!!!

DONOTGOTOTHISPLACE!!! I will start off with where it started. I went to the front to pay for my meal, and all I was given was a rude attitude from the cashier. Not kidding to a point where I should have just left there. Seriously that would’ve saved me for what was to come! The food was mediocre at best, though what I really went there for was for the crab. And I know that crab is practically customary in an Asian restaurant, but I had no idea that YELLOWCRAB was! Thinking that it was just what they cooked the crab in for flavor, I ate some as well as the rest of my family. Well guess what? Now I have FOODPOISONING, as well as the RESTOFMYFAMILY, including my SON!!! IFYOUVALUEYOURHEALTHASWELLASYOURCHILDREN’S HEALTH, DONOTGOTOTHISPLACE!!!

When I found this place on Unilocal I thought I found another run of the mill buffet with the same terrible options. I was expecting fusion chicken with organic broccoli sticks combined with tofu. The same crap LA menu. Well, I was as wrong as a jewelry thief standing in the middle of the Jewelry district. When I pulled up I didn’t see anybody in Prius’ driving 20 miles under the speed limit. Good sign. No hipsters in cargo shorts wearing google glasses in stupid sandals. So I walked in and to my amazement the place was very nice and clean. So I walked around the buffet and when I saw regular peel and eat shrimp I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Actual regular peel shrimp in LA! Not the crap small pre peeled shrimp! And then I saw regular good food like won ton soup, mashed potatoes, crab legs, pizza, etc. regular sample food of a good buffet. No fancy tofu with bean sprouts grown in someone’s rooftop organic garden driven to the restaurant in an electric car. This place is awesome. The only buffet with good peel and eat shrimp. They literally have every option you can want in good regular buffet food. No fancy LA garbage. No pretentious nonsense. Just a clean buffet with great food and Outstanding service. Hippies, hipsters and LA foodies please stay away from this place. It’s not for you!

This is a 4 star worthy buffet! The place is huge, really clean, great customer service and the food is delicious. They have a big variety and the food is not your typical cheap buffet, it’s good quality, good flavor at a reasonable price. We will definetly be going back next time we are in town.

The food was great and the staff very friendly. I came in an hour until closed and was worried they might not have much for options that close to the end of the day. I was happy to see a well stocked buffet even that late.

I’m glad I listened to my fellow Elite Unilocalers on this one. I was not disappointed with Ocean Buffet and will be a returning customer. Before I continue I think it’s important to note that when I review a buffet I keep my comparisons relative to other buffets. For example, it’s not fair to compare the sushi at a buffet versus sushi at a sushi specialty restaurant. Food: Sushi, Mongolian BBQ, pizza, fries, crab, muscles, oysters, orange chicken, coconut shrimp, soups, roast beef, fried fish, whole fish and a lot more. Lots of deserts to select from, including ice cream on tap. Service: Great service. We were immediately greeted when arrived. Quickly seated and received our ordered drinks. Refills were quick and our dirty dishes quickly removed from the table. Overall, service was good. Overall, I would give Ocean Buffet 4.5 stars.
