Mark Poitras along with all of his staff are amazing! When I was younger I had bad experiences with the dentist which resulted in me straying away from them. When I found Mark Poitras’ office my opinion changed! I went in to have one wisdom tooth pulled and felt no pain whatsoever! I never felt pain with the shots not with the extraction. The next day they called to make sure I was okay and answered all the questions I had. This is the most amazing dentist I have ever been to!

I have been going to Dr. Poitras for a few years now.
I had a huge fear of dentistry resulting from frightening and painful dentistry experiences as a child. Adult visits were no better. As a result, I only saw a dentist when absolutely necessary, and had not had a regular cleaning in many years. I knew I really needed dental work and probably had gum disease because my gums were bleeding regularly. I couldn’t even eat an apple without seeing blood left behind.
I asked around, and a friend recommended Dr. Poitras. From the first phone conversation detailing my fears, they were very kind and reassuring. I needed medication for anxiety just to get me in the chair for the first time. I was embarrassed about avoiding the dentist for so long, but no one at the office ever made me feel like a «bad» or «negligent» person.
Dr. Poitras has a very gentle touch and kind personality. On that first visit, I had x-​rays and an exam. They explained a treatment plan in detail, beginning with deep cleaning quadrant by quadrant due to the state of my gums, and proceeding through a dental implant and some other necessary procedures.
For the first couple of procedures, I needed «sedation dentistry,» which consisted of oral medication that I took at home before my visit (someone else must drive you). The sedation allows you to be conscious and able to respond and follow directions during the visit, but you do not remember a thing! Worked great for me.
After that, I was comfortable enough to just use nitrous oxide during my visits, which I have been doing ever since. I have cleanings every 3 months to keep my gums healthy. The implant is the best thing I ever did – can’t even tell which tooth it is and I can eat completely normally.
I highly recommend Dr. Poitras to all of you dental-​phobic people out there in Unilocalland.

Alright I’ve been frequenting doctors & dentists quite a bit lately. The last office I went to on a regular basis grew pretty substantially, and I just don’t feel like I was getting the same care anymore. So I gave Dr. Poitras a shot since there office is in such close proximity of where I work. I’ll have to say I didn’t feel rushed, everyone took the time and explained to me what they were doing and why they were doing it. I felt like it was a very through exam. They didn’t quote me for unnecessary things as I’ve had done in the past. I did however inquire about Invisalign and they answered all my questions. As a matter of fact after the wisdom teeth get pulled I’ll be back in to get my Invisalign :)
