Artist Heli Sterner began her mural and decorative paint business in the Santa Clarita Valley through positive word of mouth advertising that her clients provided. Initially the client list consisted predominantly of residential customers but has since grown to include many commercial accounts including retirement villas, schools, and theme parks.

I can still remember the thrill of that first moment of revelation when it suddenly became distinctly clear to me: A stick figure is transformed into a realistic figure when you draw two lines instead of one to form the arm or leg of a person. With the excitement of this new awareness, oblivious to all else, I picked up my crayon and proceeded to draw this realistic three dimensional «person» right on the wall. I was five years old and much to my mom’s horror, I was then doomed to spend what seemed like hours scrubbing the drawing off the wall. How could my mother have known that I would one day have my own business painting murals of similar fascination on so many walls?

This artistic excitement still exists. Though I will always revere the precision and accuracy in which the world of scientists and mathematicians exist, I’m ever so grateful that for the artist, there is more than just one right answer.
