Tuscany Apartments

Except for the location, this apartment complex has nothing that I can boast of.
The security features that include fobs to enter the building aren’t that secure. People can easily piggyback. There was a mass theft in the community where lots of bikes were stolen from a bike storage area that lies within the apartment complex. The management was least supportive on this front.
The residential service is very bad.
The property manager is hardly ever there in the office. The front desk representatives are just there to hear you, but not act. They always had the same response — «They will forward it to the property manager», and that would mean no action for the next 2 – 3 days. Also, you need to follow-​up on each and every issue, the management would never proactively revert with updates.
Half the time they aren’t even aware that there is some issue and most times the issues were fixed only after residents informed them. Recently, for almost an entire week the front side of the building was open to all, no fobs were required to enter the premises. The management, fixed it only after they were informed by a resident.
The emergency maintenance service isn’t in place either. I had an issue in the apartment for which I called the emergency number. The call was not received and was instead forwarded to voicemail. I raised a service request from the online portal, only to be fixed the next day later in the afternoon.
Some people aren’t even considerate. They often leave discarded packaging materials in the lobby causing inconvenience to others.

The apartment complex is new and quite charming. But more importantly, you will find one of the best property managers here. Her name is Renee Contreras. She is very friendly, and she literally does everything to help the tenants of this community. If you are looking to rent an apartment in the bay area, strongly recommend to contact her. I assume she does manage multiple properties now.

Please stay away from this place if you are a healthy person, you have children and you don’t smoke. Most of the people smoke in this complex unit. A very few of them, they go outside to smoke, but remaining of people smoke in their balconies, inside their apartments. When you walk through the hallway you can smell the heavy smoke. Planning to move soon.

I’ve been looking for an apartment for months and found Tuscany. Renee (Property Director) by far was the most impressive with her customer service and support. I had to make a decision between this place and another, it really was a toss up but Renee made my decision easy. Thank you Lyon Community for choosing the location and for staffing your leasing office with great people.

I was incredibly nervous looking for apartments. I’ve always heard horror stories of people getting swindled and subsequently imprisoned in a building with poor neighbors and management that they hate. The cherry on top was that I was also completely new to the area and had no idea which neighborhoods were good and bad. Upon taking tours of various buildings and dealing with relatively robotic like apartment managers, i stumbled across the Tuscany apartment community. The building was under construction at the time, but after taking a tour of the facilities, I realized that it was an amazing value for the rental price. But, more importantly, what really sold the community for me, aside from the beautiful apartment, was the service. I was lucky enough to work with Ms. Sara Zeleke, who took out time and answered all of my questions; by far the BEST real estate professional that I had worked with. I am confident that I am going to enjoy my stay at the Tuscany apartments and no longer feel that I am going to be contractually imprisoned in a box.
