Established in 2012.

Three college friends left well-​paying finance/​consulting jobs to pursue their dream of building something that would make others happy. Jason, Vijay and Hasnain loved food and loved entertaining — starting a restaurant allowed them to harness both of those passions.

Hasnain and Vijay grew up eating (and cooking!) Indian and Pakistani food and once Jason tried it as a teenager, he never looked back. They were surprised by how many of their friends and acquaintances had never tried Indian food before — and all for reasons they thought were eminently fixable.

To that end, they built Tava with the goal of making Indian Food accessible in America. At Tava, they are working to serve healthy, tasty Indian food made just the way you like it because you shouldn’t have to settle for a meal that isn’t bursting with taste and freshness.
