great fish. staff exceptionally attentive and due to a late start acquiring my bottle of sake, a complimentary glass was poured free of charge. goes a long way in my book. I love eating here alone

The worst service I have ever experienced. Would have given this place 0 stars if I could. Unfortunately I cannot write a review on the food as it was never served. Went here for lunch today 5÷29÷15. Ordered drinks(soda and water), salad appetizer and entrees all at the same time. The drinks and appetizer showed up relatively quickly but 40 minutes later still no entrees. At no point during this 40 minutes did our waitress come by our table or offer to refill our drinks. When we finally saw her come by our table we asked about our food and after she checked on it we were told it would be a while as there were 10 orders still in front of us. Ridiculous as the place barely has more than 10 tables. Informed her that we could not wait any longer as 40 minutes was more than long enough for a lunch order. The waitress proceeded to get our bill and she had charged us for food we did NOT receive. Only as we were paying the corrected bill did the waitress offer to refill our drinks. I can definitely say it was a waste of time and money to ever come to this place for lunch and that it is off of our list of places to ever visit again!!!

Great food, well balanced menu, friendly and helpful staff, never too busy. The hot sake is a good companion. The specialties are all good and portions are large compared to what I am used to(N-Europe). I ate here 4 times in March ’15. Prices are OK. It’s not cheap but quality is high and consistent.

I gave this the top rating for food, though the atmosphere is pretty standard hotel bar. I was staying at the hotel so it worked out great for me. I was VERYHAPPY with the sushi — absolutely delicious — in fact perfect. A very nice surprise for a hotel meal.

Sushi is acceptable, pretty mediocre, not much flavor. Just ordered a spicy tuna roll, CA roll, and miso to go. Service was nice and quick. It’s expensive, but to be expected in a Hyatt lobby.

This was the first time I ever drank sake in clear shot glasses at a restaurant/lounge. They said they didn’t have anymore cups but I didn’t even see anyone else having them… strange. I was even more surprised since they had a wide selection of sake on their menu! It was interesting but the sake was pretty darn good regardless. This place is actually inside the Hyatt and the lounge I believe belongs to them as well. It’s lively with business people almost every night. It’s a decent place to get not only sake but other drinks as well.

It was during California Extreme when my whole heart-family ate lunch here. It was also my husband’s birthday so it was a birthday lunch as well. Comfy sofa seats, friendly service and great Sushi! The kids tried their Nigiri and dumplings. Me and my husband tried their Sashimi plates. Since it was sort of a living room setting, the center table was of course very low. It was kind of uncomfortable to eat with it, especially with chopsticks and dipping sauces. We had to scoot towards the table to avoid staining our shirts. But the place was packed with geeky video gamers and pinballers, so we couldn’t avail of the Sushi Bar tables. It was still a great day. Awesome venue for the CAX2012.

Just wanted some simple Maguro sushi and a Spider Roll. The Tuna had been poorly butchered. It tasted strongly of blood. It smelled strongly of blood. I’ve never encountered this before. It was inedible. I sent it back and didn’t even try the Spider Roll. Last night a person next to me tried the Spider Roll. I didn’t say anything to her about my experience until she sent the roll back after 1 bite. She said it was awful.

Inside the Hyatt Hotel in the lobby area. Despite being in a very loud area and being overpriced, i’m giving Sushi & Sake a weak four stars. Great service. Better selection than many local places, quality cuts of fish, and convenience are hallmarks. Sit at the bar. The Sushi Sushi chefs definitely believe in giving their enthusiastic customers a good value for the price and will offer extras for your enjoyment. For the person looking for Anago and quail eggs, this is one of the few places to offer it on the menu. For three hungry people expect to pay about $ 100 to $ 120WITHOUT alcohol. So you see why extras are welcome and why you should bring your happy enthusiasm to get the chefs to give them to you. As for my catering and take out answers I consider them relevant only to the hotel and convention center. Catering outside places should not be expected. If the prices were not so high I would give Sushi & Sake Lounge a solid four stars but I realize Hyatt has to take their cut above the regular food prices. Just go on the weekday evening when there is less of a convention + weekend Great America rush and noise.

Wide selection of great sushi. Ambience: A small sushi bar inside the Hyatt in a quiet corner. Service: Two sushi chefs and two waiters for a tiny bar is pretty good. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. Food: I went here just for a snack but from what I had I’d like to go back and try some of the other items on the menu. The roll and nigiri I had were excellent. Price: A little pricey but probably a premium from being in a higher priced hotel. For what it’s worth I think this is place has recently changed to new management(from conversations I overheard at the bar).

Small six seat sushi counter next to the lounge in the Hyatt. Basic nigiri, chirashi and some fusion items. Since it’s such a small offshoot of the food service here don’t expect anything more than your basic items here. The cool thing you can do however is order and go sit in the TusCA restaurant with people who’d rather have Italian since the couter is so small
