Great service! I got a gel manicure with Cindy and it looks amazing! Almond shape nails, two colors, and gems. About 2 hours of work.

I recently got really into getting gel nails done, and I was tired of paying $ 25 – 30 for nails where the technician could not draw within the lines of my cuticles. The unevenness usually causes the gel nails to last shorter and start peeling off earlier than expected. One day I finally plucked up the courage to make an appointment with Cindy!
I showed her a picture of gel nails I’ve wanted to get, and she proceeded to do them but with her own creative liberties. They were a bit of a splurge but honestly sooo worth it. I don’t think my nails have ever looked so nice!
Cindy also pays great attention to detail and takes her time to make sure they are perfect. She’s always busy so make sure to book an appointment with her atleast a week ahead of time.

Cindy is very professional and personable. She is great at what she does!
I happen to be looking for a nail shop around the Valley Fair area and stumbled upon her business on Unilocal.I saw that she was having a promotion on lash extension and was able to get an appointment at my convenience.
She was very knowledgable about the different lashes on the market that I had learned about through my own research.
She did a fantastic job on my lash extensions! I can’t wait to try other services she offers.
I highly recommend Cindy to anyone who is looking for a salon to get lash extensions.

So this isn’t an actual review based on their service because they weren’t open today, but rather on the fact that they were closed when the Unilocal business hours and their actual posted business hours on the door say that they are open on Mondays. Such a bummer.

Love, love, love Cindy and Spearmint Nails! Both my husband and I appreciate the time and care that Cindy takes in caring for our nails. She is meticulous in every aspect of her work! We’ve been to several salons in Santa Clara and this place is is the best of the best! In a clean, relaxing and intimate environment, Cindy applies her complete attention and precision to each appointment and doesn’t try to rush any part of the process.
Note: though she does take walk-​ins when she has the time, this lady is very popular (as she should be) so do yourself a favor and make an appointment.

Perfection at it’s BEST!
I’m so lucky to finally find someone who does NOT paint your cuticles, who removes all the dry skin before painting and your polish is applied perfectly clean in a circle near the cuticle. I have spent so much money and time trying to find/​train someone to do a great manicure and nail polish. I love going to her shop — everything is so orderly, clean and sanitary. Even her polishes are in perfect order. I love Cindy! She gets it. If you looking for perfection look no further!

I love cindy! I’ve been following her wherever she goes. Had my brows permanently tattooed and love her work. She is meticulous and puts care into it. She has great taste and knows how to make you look beautiful. I’ve also had a mani and pedi from cindy and she is the best! Can’t give her enough praise! I’m a loyal customer.

She is good for a regular mani pedi but not for designs. After she did my nail design they all started falling off after couple of days! My nails usually stayed in great shape for two weeks when my old nail artist did them. Unfortunately i moved. So now i have to look for someone else.

Well. Maybe it’s my fault but according to the sign and Unilocal,walk-​ins are welcome. But we’re here at 10am and the next door business says she usually doesn’t come unless she has an appointment. But I’ve tried calling her a few times but no answer.
I know the Unilocal reviews and tips say to make an appointment, but the business should probably change her sign here and the Unilocal description to not say walking welcome.

Cindy was amazing. The store was clean and the nail color choices were great. I have been meaning to find a salon that does the nails perfectly — naturally looking and polish even all along. Cindy was nothing but detailed. I love the shellac nails she did on me and this is definitely my go to nail salon moving forward!

Cindy is wonderful! I needed my nails done badly and found Cindy on Unilocal.She just happened to have a cancellation and I’m so glad she did. I got french on my toes and french shellac/​gel on my hands. I waited to write a review to see how my nails lasted — it’s been over 2 weeks now and they still look fabulous! No chipping or cracking! She takes her time and she is very meticulous. It was a very relaxing time because Cindy owns the salon and works independently — there’s no one there but her so you have the cozy place to yourself. But, if you want to bring a friend along, there’s a comfortable chair for them to sit with you as well! I am looking forward to the next time I go in for sure!

Cindy is a perfectionist! :) Best manicure I ever had!

I’m so glad I found this place. Cindy is incredibly meticulous and gave me the best french tip manicure I’ve ever had.
It’s a cute little shop next to Saigon Salon. She spent her time making sure each nail was spot on. She was so much fun to talk to — I felt like I had a spa day here since it was so relaxing. She even gave me tips on what to do when it comes to getting my nails done, so that my nails don’t get weaker since I had fake nails on before coming here.
You can see in my pics how meticulous her work is and I’m so happy I’ve found my go-​to place.

Cindy does a good job on my manicure I will give her that, but it turned out to be the worst experience! My friend and I were really excited about coming to Spearmint to pamper ourselves. It started out great — and everything went downhill when I realized she got my request wrong (I requested a gel mani and she heard me said regular mani and pedi).
When I realized it was just a regular french I stopped her and asked if this was gel. And then she gave me the most pissed off face and tone of voice I have ever gotten from a nail artist. She started telling me how much time she had spent on drawing the french tip, how many customers she still has after this (it was 5pm on a Sunday), and blamed how I told her my request wrong. I am very sure I told her gel mani when I first got in, but I didn’t want to argue with her on that because all I wanted to know was if I could still switch over to gel. And of course she just said no. The rest of the time there was awkward and silent.
Honestly, I think it was the attitude that she had made it a very unpleasant experience for both myself and my friend. I was polite and do not think as a customer deserved to take that from her. Will never return again.

Cindy runs a small one-​stop-​shop next door to Saigon Spa. I had a gel manicure with her and, having had many of these in the past, was impressed with her attention to detail and commitment to excellence. I will be back for sure! The salon is clean, well-​stocked and comfortable, too.
Cindy’s English is very good and that also made it easier to have a decent conversation and communicate what it is I wanted with my nails (surprisingly difficult at many Bay Area salons!).
I am looking forward to trying out some of her other services (waxing, lash extensions, permanent makeup, etc).

Cindy is super patient and takes a lot of pride in her work. I normally go to cindy for my eyelash extensions and decided to have her touch up and correct my semi –permanent eyebrows. She took her time outlining my shape and made sure of it’s symmetry. My eyebrows are healing and I can already see the details in her stokes!

The nail salon is a small place but clean and relaxing. Cindy mainly works by appointments only so make sure you schedule one prior to coming. She also offers many other beauty services!
Prices are great. Tools are clean. Service is impeccable!

Nothing but good reviews for this place and I must say it does deserve 5 stars! Walking in the atmosphere is relaxing and quiet unlike other places that are so noisy. They have so many different colors to choose from and they are organized as well (defiantly love that). They take there time and do not rush through like many places do and it’s a Friday afternoon and not really busy which is a plus for me. Defiantly recommend this place for a mani and pedi you will not be disappointed ! Update: Amazing, awesome will defiantly be back.
