Can you believe one of the movers actually said this to me?
This is after:
– Arriving 2 hours late
– Getting lost on the way and charging me for it
– Need I say that I had to endure flirtation during the move?
— includes tales of friendships with other people of my ethnicity
— Let’s not forget the affinity for basketball tales
– Soliciting me to hire them to clean-​up my old place
– Taking 17 hours to not finish the job
— Most of the kitchen & books were at the new place
— Valuables had already been moved
— Had to make several trips to the old place after the move
– Demanding a tip
Just say no to this company, which I’m surprised still exists! Seriously, I’m fully traumatized and not moving without a crew of friends and loved ones with me to have my back while the movers are there.
To not do a good job is one thing but to sling that type of attitude more than adds insult to injury.

Worst experience ever!
They charged us 6x the price quoted in the end and we could not get out of it.
DON’T USE THEM!!!

These guys are scam artists, pure and simple. I was given a written estimate of $ 288, and then charged $ 1900 to move a single bedroom’s worth of boxes three miles away. They attach hidden fees onto everything, and the mover, David, went out of his way to accrue as many of these as possible during the move.

I would give this company negative –100 stars if I could!!! This was the worst experience ever! They are nothing but SCAM ARTISTS!!! Do your research people… these guys WILL and have taken advantage of many people and continue to do so! They will definately take you for all of your money if you are moving far. Let see. how does their SCAM work?
COMPLAINTS:
1. The price they quote you is ONLY to bait you into choosing them for services! Then, when they jack the price up at the last minute, and you say no to this, they will say you have to pay a $ 2000 cancellation fee!!! WTF!!!
2. When they show up to load you items, that is when they tell you it is going to twice as much then what they quoted you!!! Also, they have to bubble wrap everything!!! (they don’t tell you this until they get there) And this is going to cost you hundreds of dollars extra!!!
Not to metion they show up with a Budget-​Rent-​A-​truck??? Don’t professional movers have their own trucks and trailers!!!
3. When they get to the scales for the truck weight, they price will go up again!!! These guys will stick you for every single dime they can get out of you!!!
4. PUT YOUR LIFE ON HOLD PEOPLE!!! BECAUSE: The day and time that they quote you for your delivery WILL CHANGE!
If they are supposed to deliver on the 6^th, they will not. Because why??? He said «I overslept» Give me a effin’ break here guy! I HAVE TO PUT MY LIFE ON HOLD BECAUSE YOU ARE AN IDIOT!!! MY KIDS CAN“T START SCHOOL BECAUSE ALL THEIR STUFF IS ON THIS DAMN TRUCK!!!
2-​days later, they show up 8 hours after they said they would be there, and they have all your stuff in a different truck!!!
That has to be illegal! If you hire them for these services and you pay $ 4000.00 + Dollars, how can they move your stuff from one truck to another!!! YES, our stuff did show up broken & damaged!
6. You want to know why they moved our stuff to another truck? Because they were trying to save themselves some gas money! What they did was put our stuff with some other families stuff!!! ON THE SAME TRUCK! WITH NO SEPARATION!!! He came to finally deliver our stuff and we had to tell him that he was bringing in stuff that did not belong to us, but to someone else!!!
7. When he showed up to deliver, he was by himself!!! He asked some carpenters that were working on the apartment building to come and help him move my items!!! THIS IS SOOOO BAD!!!
NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! WE HAVE TO TRY AND PUT PEOPLE LIKE THIS OUT OF BUSINESS!!!

First let me say that I find those 5 star reviews sort of suspect. They seem to show up only after a bad review by new people that signed up that same day. If you sort by date you will see that those 5 star reviews follow closely behind a real review. So draw your own conclusions …
These guys are crooks!!! They gave me a quote over the phone for $ 75/​hr with a three hour minimum. They told me that I had to pay by credit card for the first hour to secure my appointment time. I found out later that this is illegal.
When they showed up they never gave me an actual written estimate or cost of materials. They just made me sign and initial a bunch of forms telling me that it was required before they would start. I asked them several time for copies of what I signed and a price list. They kept telling me that they would give me the estimate and the prices which they never did.
Once they got to my new location they held my belongings hostage and said that they wouldn’t unload the truck until I paid them an outrageous amount. They wrote up the estimate after they got to my new place. They estimated 5 hours and even changed the times on the time bar to match 5 hours even though they never worked the five hours. They never credited me the initial $ 75 for the first hour. Before they unloaded the truck they flashed some sheet at me and said that was the supplies I used. They came out to some made up amount. In total I ended up having to pay $ 965 or I wouldn’t get my stuff back. They only did a partial move that included one bedroom, a dining table, speakers, TV and a lamp with about 6 boxes that were already packed. They only traveled 7 miles.
I called several times to customer service to get copies of the forms and to question my fees. They ignored me until I told them that I was going to file a complaint wit the PUC after which they referred me to a claims company. I didn’t feel comfortable talking to that company because I felt they were trying to direct my statements into only what they wanted to hear.
Needless to say, I’m filing a complaint with the CA Public Utilities Commission.
But, don’t take my word for it. Check out the BBB. At the time I’m writing this they have had 34 complaints in the last 36 months and rates them Unsatisfactory. The BBB revoked their membership on 9÷25÷08 and they have been on suspension since ⁰⁶⁄₀₈ but on their website they say they are a top rated BBB accredited business. They also claim to be part of the CMSA on their website and when I spoke to the CMSA they are not member.
Do yourself a favor and avoid these guys like the plague!!!

I recently hired these guys for a local move in the Bay Area. They showed up an hour after the window they gave me, and then charged me all these extra fees. I asked multiple times when putting down my deposit whether there were any extra fees, and they assured me «no no no.» I called their manager to complain about them showing up an hour late and then pulling these extra moving costs on me that were not written on the contract, and he threatened to send the movers away. I would not hire these guys again, and highly do not recommend that anyone use these. Not sure how these guys got higher ratings on Unilocal.Maybe it was a different regional office, but I would definitelly not recommend that anyone uses this company for moving.
This place has sketchy business practices. Do not use them.

Compliant #1 — QUOTE — big sham!
During my quote over the phone I WAS EXTREMELY clear that I have 3 flights of stairs to my new apartment… they said there IS NO EXTRA charge, just their hourly rate of $ 88 (for 3 men)! Yeah right! CROCK! BTW — Mark the sales guy doesn’t work there anymore? Because he lies? They ended up not charging me for the stairs after about 6 calls, and 1 ½ of back and forth…(that’s their one and only star)… the foreman told me they don’t even get the extra money for the stairs… it goes to the company profit LINE!!! YEP! SCAM!
Even on my work order and estimate it just said 3 – 4 hours @$ 88. It took me calling and calling the customer service line, which NO ONE ever answers and you are lucky if you get a call-​back. I had to ask the foreman to call and THE MANAGER returned my call! — this is all while the movers were dragging my stuff out to the truck!
COMPLIANT #2, 3, 4 — The movers STINK!
They were not nice AND they were LATE, very-​very late!
The foreman had the worst BODY ODOR, I couldn’t stay in the same room as him!
They were SLOW … my consigneur said he has never seen slower movers in his life! It took them 5 ½ hours to move with a 20 min drive! … this is a ONE-​BD apartment!
They didn’t bring much for tools… they had to borrow my cordless drill or else the guys were willing to take apart my bed by hand (about 50 screws)… did I say they were not that SMART!

AND to top it off, they broke my mirror! They didn’t even wrap it! AWEFUL!
They basically put a make-​shift box, no blankets, no extra care with the corners! I did call Customer Service to put my claim thru… and guess what, no return call!
WARNING… I LOOKED UP THESE GUYS ON Unilocal BEFORE I HIRED THEM AND DIDN’T SEE ANYTHING ON THEM… DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!

Please be very aware of this moving company in Santa Clara. MTS Reloction, or whatever they call them selves, (they go by different company names because of thier bad rep) is doing bad business and ripping people off. I have a very close friend who just used them and is getting so screwed by them. Even after the contract was signed they are trying to add all kinds of extra fees for all kinds of pointless reasons. They dont return calls, they yelled at my freind on the phone, threatened to leave their stuff on the street, just over all a very bad experience. I recomend you stay very clear of this company. I hate to see others get ripped off by them, I would rather see the owners of this company out of business completely.
