Cindy is truly a kind and attentive person but that wouldn’t mean very much if she wasn’t such a good hair technician and colorist. She really listens to what you want and always adds good input to what you need. You can depend on her!

I have been seeing Cindy since I moved to the bay area. I found about her salon here on Unilocal and so glad I did. Apart from being a wonderful person, she does a great job on my hair. I usually get hair color and cut when I visit her. I always leave satisfied and happy. Both she and her husband are lovely people and always make you feel comfortable and welcome. Cindy is very friendly.

Gilbert is not only a nice guy but he is a master at his craft. I went to him and asked him to fix my haircut that was totally jacked up from another local barber.
After I saw what an amazing haircut he gave me I will definitely come back.

Always happy with Cindy. She always gets the cut and color right. She also suggests products that work for me. Will stay with her forever.

I have been getting haircuts from Alice for about 10 years now. I started seeing her when I started as a freshman at Santa Clara University. After I graduated I’ve moved all around, but I always end up coming back because whenever I get a haircut from someone else, no matter how much I explain how I want my hair styled it never seems right. Alice on the other hand knows me so well and she always keeps me up to style. My wife, who was my girlfriend at the time while I was at Santa Clara, liked my haircuts then and she still approves of them now.
Alice is one of the most easy going, friendliest person I know which makes it easy for me to drive a little ways to see her. If you need a hair stylist who is efficient, precise and highly communicative you need Alice.

I’ve been to Cindy twice so far and will keep going. She cuts my hair perfectly, exactly how I like it! And she does not try and push me into coloring my hair. I have allergies to chemical hair stuff and sprays. She remembers an respects that and uses a nice oil. Thank you Cindy! :D

OMG! I have to say that Cynthia (the owner) is the best colorist and stylist I have ever had! She did the Chi Envio Smoothing Treatment on my hair that was previously relaxed. I was at the point where I did not want to put a relaxer on my hair anymore because of the chemicals that have damaged my hair. So we decided to try this smoothing treatment and I am so in love. The best part of it is that is healthy for my hair. And she also did a amazing job on my blonde highlights! This is the happiest I have ever been with my hair. Anyone who is mixed with multiple races (I’m black and Hispanic) knows the struggle to find a good smoothing product and a good stylist! She is the best! Thank you Cynthia!

I just moved up to Santa Clara from Santa Barbara and have been looking at reviews for men’s haircuts at the different salons. I had very high standards since my last stylist cut my hair for a year and I never had a bad experience. I have to say that I was hesitant when I entered the salon; the salon isn’t in the best condition compared to ‘newer’ ‘hip’ boutiques in terms of upkeep. That’s not to say it is dirty or rundown, but I think newer salons have made the atmosphere ass important as the haircut itself.
That being said, the price was great. Since it was my first time I received $ 10 off. Gilbert was very friendly and really listened to what I wanted to do with my hair. He also did a fine job of keeping my last cut style very similar based off of my very simple description of what my last sylist would do. It wasn’t the best haircut I’ve ever received, but given that it was his first time cutting it I think Gilbert did a fine job. Gilbert’s man cave was also a nice touch to my experience.
Overall I gave the salon, experience and haircut a ⁴⁄₅ instead of a ⁵⁄₅. The small cons of the lack of a hip atmosphere, no beverage offered while I waited, or offering of a gel style after the haircut. These are just small nitpicky things, but I do think in this market these are becoming essentials to receiving the perfect review.

I liked my first visit a lot. I have a lot less hair then I used to have and am getting more particular on what I want. Gilbert took all my input and did a great job! And for a very reasonable price.

Well, I am so happy to report, that after searching and selecting this salon on Unilocal due to the consistent high ratings and what others had written about Cindy and her salon, I completely concur!
She sends text reminders, AND notified me that she was running late and not to come until a half hour after my scheduled time. This saved me from a LONG wait in her shop, which I so appreciated.
Then, from the moment we met, I felt like she was a friend. Cindy was welcoming, and took great care in understanding my hair and exactly what I wanted. She had her work cut out for her because I had not been to a hairdresser for nearly 2 years and my hair was damaged.
While she worked, she talked — about how she got into the business, her husband, her family; she made me feel so at ease, and honestly, like an old friend.
She put a body wave into my long hair, after trimming all the dead and damaged hair off, but still leaving it long. She didn’t try to sell me a load of products, or press me to re-​schedule. However, I happily rescheduled a time to come in for my next appointment.
My hair turned out just as I had hoped it would. It looks healthy again, and has body. I love it, and I love Cindy and her Miracles!!! The parking was the only part that could improve! Small strip-​mall has limited parking, but the surrounding streets have parking, so it isn’t impossible.

Cindy and Gilbert are not only amazing people, they are amazing stylists. I took my husband to one salon here and thought it was great but after about a week his hair went… funky, so it was back to the drawing board. We came to Miracles and sent my husband with his curls to Gilbert who treated them with care and gave him an amazing hair cut. The little «man cave» area is so nice for guys to have their own space in the salon and not feel so frou-​frou. Gilbert really listens to what you are looking for and works his magic. He is also a really nice guy to chat with. He’s a cool guy and does a great job. He has cut my husband’s hair twice now so we know he is awesome.
Cindy is super sweet and really fun (and funny!). She has cut my hair twice and gave me a straightening treatment as well. She totally knows what she is doing and loves what she does as well. She has given me a great cut that shapes beautiful around my face as well as helping lighten up some of the weight of this thick mane of mine. The straightening treatment was lovely. The whole time we had great conversation and she explained each process in detail. I have always had really thick and «poofy» hair and now it is sleek, silky, and sexy. I love it and would highly recommend it (see my posted pictures for proof!).
If you really want to go to a place that actually cares about you and have consistently great cuts, go see Gilbert and Cindy. They are there Wednesday through Sunday, you will not regret it one bit!

I moved to Santa Cruz 8 years ago and still drive over the hill to get my haircut here.
From the outside it looks like it might be a «girlie» salon… and it is. The owner Cindy and the other ladies there do all the things they do that keeps you lovely Bay Area women the most beautiful in the country.
But in the back is a little «barber shop» that the owner Gilbert runs. I’m 47 years old and he’s been cutting my hair for 15 years or more. He knows how to cut the hair of men and boys. He has changed for me as I’ve gotten older and I am always happy with the result. The other day I took my 20 year old friend who was visiting from out of town and he got his haircut too. Two very different hair styles, ages, etc and we were both happy when we left. You’re not going to pay what you would at a Supercuts but you get what you pay for.
So for both men and women, boys and girls (I notice that another stylist there cuts men too) this is a great place. They’re nice people. They are always glad to see you. And you will leave feeling good.

Well, here’s the thing. My sons age 17 and 21 have been going here since they graduated from those kiddie places with the little cars they’d sit in. Having 2 boys, they didn’t want a place that felt all girly and I didn’t want a place where I would have a student just out of school playing Hell’s Clippers on my kids heads! Trust me both have had that when they were away for the summer. My younger sons curly hair came back like a lopsided sheep, and my older son looked like someone cut around a lopsided bowl and called it a day. This happened to be his senior year and I couldn’t use his senior pictures because the haircut was so bad. I wished he would have waited until he came back so Gilbert could have worked his magic.
Bottom line, you aren’t going to get a $ 5 haircut. You also aren’t going to be paying a down payment for your next car for a haircut here. However, If you’re a guy or have boys, you’ll get a great cut that you’ll be very happy with. He listens and makes my kids look amazing. When you have a son in high school, this is important.
His wife Cynthia does great work as well. They are up on all the products and coloring techniques.
The other thing you won’t find is a gum smacking non-​attentive receptionist that treats you like you don’t belong there. From the first day I walked in, I felt like family. This is owner run and operated. They are friendly and fun and I am so thrilled I have such a great place to take my sons. This is my 3^rd update and I would give them 10 stars if I could. You just can’t find businesses like this anymore that provide such quality but stay warm and family friendly. Don’t you deserve that kind of service?

Cindy and Gilbert have been styling my husband and my hair for over 20 years. I feel like we all have grwon up together. They are both very talented stylists. Cindy is the best with color and she is a natural at knowing what style will make you look the best. I always take her advice and I’ve always been pleased. People stop me on the street to ask where I have my hair done (Debbie) so I carry Cindy’s business cards with me and hand them out. Throughout the years I have seen many of my friends become clients of Miracles, and their former salons. Now I bring my daughter (12yrs) to see Cindy, too. What a difference in style and look that made the first time she came! She loves the way her hair looks and moves. All of her friends loved her hair, too. At Miracles, you will find a wonderful, friendly atmosphere and you will emerge from the place looking like a million dollars. I highly recommend Miracles for the latest look, best conditioned hair and the ability to live in high fashion at an affordable price. Whether you want the latest trendy look, or you are more traditional, Miracles is the place to be.

Cindy and Gilbert– cutting my hair and husband’s hair since our wedding day over 25 years ago. They are hip and trendy and don’t let that length of time fool you. After my recent cut, three other friends came to see Cindy for their cut and color. She is worth every penny!

I have been going to Miracles A Salon for 4yrs, and I LOVE the work they do. I have tried many other salons and they don’t copmpare to the quality service that Miracles Salon Provides.
Cindy, knows exactly how to treat my hair, what colors to use, product, and is a great person to have in my life.
I am a busy mom of 6 kids, so there are plenty of times when I need to feel pretty, and Cindy helps me feel beautiful again;)

I heart Miracles A Salon. I started coming here 5 years ago and haven’t gone anywhere else since. No need! Cindy is awesome and knows her stuff! She does a great job and has fun while doing it. Also, she has great prices for her services. Thats good too, cause then I get to buy more product! :)

First of all, I don’t need a «Miracle» to be considered attractive; my natural good looks need only to be slightly altered to have more dates than a middle eastern street market.
Second, thank you Unilocal.Without you I would have never found Alice’s new place of business.
Third, now that I know where I can get one of Alice’s haircuts, I am back to looking as amazing as ever. Watch out ladies of downtown San Jose’s more questionable joints, I am no longer unkempt.
