So disappointing at Steak house. Over rated — over expensive. What a waste of a meal Really thought it would be a lot better. Do not recommend.

My Levi’s stadium experience is ruined, due to how amazing he Michael Mina Tailgate party was. I don’t think I can go there again without this amazing experience. Endless food and drinks that were 5 star! Thank you Michael and Diane Mina!

So first off, I’m a season ticket holder, have done the Red Zone Rally at Great America a ton of times, however this was my first time at the Mina Tailgate, and let me just say, it lived up to hype, and then some. Downside to this event is that is $ 500 per person, but you know what they say?, «you get what you pay for». So what does $ 500 get you? *4 hours of all you can eat drink and eat before the game *In and out privileges from the tailgate to your seats(until the end of the 3rd quarter). That’s right, you can basically eat here and drink here for the whole event. *Top notch food options, menu rotates, and does have influence depending on the opponent(for example, game against Philadelphia, Philly cheesesteaks), some other options include, wagyu beef tacos, corn on the cob, shrimp, oysters, and an array of deserts. *As I’ve said, the bar is an open bar, up till the end of the third quarter when it turns into a cash bar. Drinks range from beer, including domestic, imports, and crafts, craft and traditional cocktails, house and premium liquors, bloody Mary’s, micheladas, wine, soft drinks, coffee, juices, even little Martineli’s, Apple bottle shaped Apple juices. *There are seats inside and seats outside, both areas have multiple tvs all the around, with all the games, assuming you’re there for a Sunday day game. *Djs are there for your entertainment, cheerleaders come in for pictures. *Not only do they bring in guest chefs, but the caliber of guest chefs is amazing. I’m a huge travel channel fan, and avid watcher of Bizarre Foods, and was beyond happy when I saw Andrew Zimmern was a guest chef the day I went. And besides cooking, he was mingling, and taking pictures with everyone, had the pleasure to meet him. Other guests I’ve heard of have been Thomas Keller, and of course Michael Mina himself is there, mingling with the crowd. *You do have servers, and the service was on point, although the food is buffet style, they are always anticipating any needs by guests, super friendly, and helpful. Some of the food I had on my trip, included meatball Parmesan sliders, buffalo wings, bahn mi, skirt steak(was to die for!), lobster rolls, shawarma, pork belly, Alaskan crab, oysters, shrimp, and more. If you like beers, the selection is huge, you have your stadium standard beers(I.e. Bud light, Budweiser, shock top, etc), but for you craft beer lovers, the makes of Dogfish head, Hoegaarden, Deschutes, Firestone Walker, and many more. The price is steep, but the experience is second to none, if you can spare the cash, trust me, you won’t regret it :)

I’m not sure I’d be willing to pay $ 500 per game to eat here on game days, but if you can get in via a friend or find someone selling passes for a discount, this is a very nice place to enjoy a high-end pre-game meal.(Be aware that passes are only sold for the entire season, so you can’t just decide to drop in unless you have a connection.) They have a different guest chef every game that makes dishes that reflect the area where the visiting team is from. So the menu will be different every game. I assume Michael Mina also helps put together the menu. There is just a lot of stuff to try and most of it is pretty good. Since it changes, it won’t help you too much for me to tell you what they served. Sample everything and make sure you go up to the reserved seating area to enjoy the main entrees. Oh by the way, it’s an open bar too. Kudos to the staff for coming by to check on us regularly and clearing away our garbage. Service is definitely top notch. I give them 4 stars. My main complaint is that the tables in the middle of the floor are too close together and it’s hard to get in and out to get more food/drink. Expect to get brushed/jostled by other patrons unless you happen to get here early and claim one of the stand-alone tables.

WOW– I was BLOWN away by Michael Mina’s Tailgate Experience and I have had high expectations since i first heard this was going to be at Bourbon Steak months before the stadium even opened. I finally got to try it on Sunday thanks to my generous bestie who got tickets as her work had a one game suite. Michael 100% out did himself on this experience. As I walked in we see the full roasted pig and philly cheesesteak section. I walked straight to the Bloody Mary bar as I heard Mrs. Diana Mina’s bloody mary’s are TO die for and she makes the mix herself from 100% homegrown tomatoes from her own garden. As I ordered a bloody mary I commented how excited I was because I heard they are world famous and my friendly bartender said«yes!!! they are tomatoes from MY garden». So not only did she make the mix(which is THEBESTBLOODYMARY I HAVEEVERHAD) but she is on site hustling behind the makeshift Bloody Mary Bar. I came back in the 3rd(because the tailgate goes all the way through the 3rd which is also amazing) and she made me tequila shots with bloody mary mix chasers and even took one with me– I pretty much fell in love with her… good work Michael. On to the food– everything is insane. Usually in situations like this(cooking for the masses) I feel like the quality is meh or «pretty good» not here– everything was perfectly cooked and so delicious. The seafood section is insane with ahi tartare, oysters on the half shell, huge fresh shrimp, the best king crab I have ever had(I dont even normally like king crab), Then you have a charcuterie section with every meat you could imagine. Waygu beef sliders, chicken wings, slow roasted pheasant tacos, lobster(AMAZING), a huge cheese fondue tower(every tailgate is themed, being this was a Green Bay game, the obvious theme was cheese). Amazing dessert section with homemade cherry ice cream being scooped. I could go on and on but do yourself a favor and check it out, just trust me on this. And all these haters on this thread need to learn to read because the review is for the TAILGATENOTBOURBONSTEAKANDPUB.

We came here to attend a function and overall was an ok experience. For a «sports» location bar, the waiters and waitress was a bit uptight. The food was nothing spectacular; the herbal chicken thigh still had a bit of redness near the bone. The mash potato and steamed vegetables were fresh and the dessert was nice bite size but a bit too sweet for my taste. I guess I was expecting something«more» from here especially since Michael Mina’s name is written all over it.

This tailgate experience is one of the best food and atmosphere experience a person can ever hope to have. If you’re a foodie, you’ll appreciate it even more, but no matter who you are you’ll enjoy the wide range of high-end food and drinks that are include in the price of the ticket/membership. One of the coolest things is that the menu is themed for each opponent the Niners play. I love the Bourbon Steak and Pub menu and food, but this is a big step above and unlike any football experience you’ll ever have! In case you can’t tell, I’m a big fan! Excellent Bloody Mary’s at Diane Mina’s organic fresh from her garden specialty all natural blend too! Best I’ve ever had and you hear the same from everyone getting them too.

Horrible service. We waited 10 minutes before a waiter even came to our table. Restaurant was not crowded, many empty tables. For $ 125 per person we should get great service!(A pre fix menu. Before the Luke Bryan concert) Instead we waited 30 minutes for our drinks from the bar. 2 of the Paloma drinks were sent back, more than once, by the 4th time it was comical. I ordered the Filet, Medium Well, came out more like medium rare. The steak was also Salty, very salty! Will not be back. The Manager ED was great. If it wasn’t for him, I would give 0 stars.

Zero stars, if I could. After spending 20 mins online trying to determine HOW to make reservations, we called two of his other SF restaurants to get a number that worked. I was told this is a members-only club for 49er season ticket holders. There are only 8 home games a year, how could this possibly be true? I sent two emails to two different places that look like Tailgate but are getting no response. I give it a –1 star for not being forthcoming about WHO is allowed to eat here. Star chefs are a bit high on themselves in this town. We’ll eat in Palo Alto instead before our Taylor Swift concert, thank you.

This place is very average. The staff is a little on the ghetto looking side and the food is middle of the road. The décor is nice and it looks like a trendy place but I think that’s just it… it looks nicer than it tastes. I probably won’t go back when there are better options like Willard Hicks and Jack Rose.

Had a great experience here after taking a tour through Levi’s Stadium for a corporate event. Great atmosphere with attentive, knowledgeable service staff. I got a chance to try the ribs which were among the best I’ve ever had. The meat practically fell off the bone which made it much easier to retain some dignity around co-workers and clients. As good as the dinner was, the desert may have been even better. I had the peanut butter which combined devil’s food cake, chocolate mousse and salted pretzels. I also was able to finish off some carrot cake and lemon cheesecake and neither disappointed. This prepared me for a food coma and prompted a late-night workout. Great food in a vibrant location. I would not hesitate to return.

Their food is not very savory its kind of bland and experimental. For a sport bar would expect more down to earth good old fashion American food. Most the food has odd ball vegetables and the burgers falafel.

Came here for my company holiday party and it was awesome. The staff was friendly and offered me their appetizers many times. The crab cakes were great! Unfortunately I was recovering from food poisoning so I didn’t get to enjoy the rest of my food as well as I would have liked to. Got to try Tuna Tartare, and their Filet Mignon, all for free! What’s not to love? If I ever had to come back, I would definitely get the Filet Mignon, no clue what the actual price is, but that had to be some of the best meat I’ve had all year. Cut like butter, tasted like heaven. I, want, more!

Since we live literally across the street from Levi Stadium, we decide to go into The Pub for happy hour, roommate had the random craving for Pretzels and Cheese. Lol… We took a seat at the bar and we were promptly greeted by a bartender(Victor is believe his name was). He was great and attentive! When we asked for recommendations on drinks he gave us a couple options that we ordered. I ordered the Sazerac and the roommate got the En Vol. Both were great, but I have to say mine was better! We ordered the pretzels and cheese, which was the most phenomenal tasting things EVER! The fresh baked pretzels where crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Each bite we covered in the cheese with bacon sauce! Wow!!! Then an order of wings which were Yummy!!! We arrived around 330 on Monday afternoon to a not so crowded place, but as the afternoon went on the crowd started to roll in to get ready for the football game. I definitely plan on coming in very soon to try more amazing food and drinks! This will be a frequent of ours!

I came here for a company party so we were seated upstairs in one of the private rooms. The appetizers were pretty good. I don’t remember which ones we had but there were at least three different hors d’oeuvres being passed around and everyone enjoyed them, especially the crab cakes and one with salmon I think. I started with a caesar salad and it was a basic good caesar except the croutons are a notch above the rest of the plate. It was so buttery in my mouth and they were big. I love my croutons and they were perfect. For my main dish I had the pork loin and it was hella good! So juicy, seasoned perfectly, it was cooked perfect. And don’t get me started on the sides. The purée potatoes were so amazing. Others couldn’t get over how good the brussels sprouts were, and the Mac and cheese were really good too. Then to finish off I had THEEBEST root beer float of my life. I always loved floats but never knew it could taste so divine. Amazing food.

5 Stars +++ Review based on Michael Mina Tailgate experience Not(Bourbon Steak and Pub) I was lucky enough to received two tickets to the Mina Tailgate from a friend. This game day experience is for member’s only, ticket holder’s pay up $ 5000 each for 10 games a season. What does that get you? How about bliss on tap? As much food and drinks you can take down. And not your typical frozen reheated stadium food. High quality 5 star food. Waygu Steak? Lobster pot pie? How about a stocked shellfish bar? As much Alaskan king crab, Gulf Shrimp, Oysters and Lobster you can eat! Wanna a root beer float? Sure! They got a machine that makes the best with all the dessert goodies and a togo box filled with goodies you can take back to your seat. Mina has different Chefs as a special guest that changes the menu every game. Michael Mina is nice enough to walk around and greet everyone totally cool guy. Mina’s wife Diane makes the best Bloody Marys! Drinks and food is free up until the 3rd quarter of the game. Vibe is a lot of fun everyone getting pretty much sauced before game time. Plasma screens everywhere with every other NFL game going on before the game. I would come back to a Mina Tailgate in a heartbeat. In a way it kind of ruined tailgating for me. Best invention for a football stadium ever!

Cool place to hang out! It’s got good energy. My wife and I went on a whim back in the early stages of the opening games. We brought our 10yr old son and after the first game prior the Niner’s kickoff he was readyta go. So we’ll prolly return when it’s jus us 2. Chef Mina was kind enough to be engaging and touch tables to check in on his guests. We didn’t know the menu was prefixed at $ 45/adult and $ 22 for kids. Our mistake for not investigating before showin up. We don’t eat very much and usually share a couple plates between the 3 of us so i was caught off guard at the thought of havinta shell out $ 112 for small bites that we won’t eat much of not including beer and tip out. Outta courtesy i purchased a brunch buffet for myself. I selected a few items which i sampled to my wife and son, but also outta courtesy for Chef, i didn’t return for more. The brunch buffet was fun for me! Oysters, awesome french toast, tacos, shrimp, desserts, tasty flavored iced teas. Unfortunately it’s not practical for us, but i suppose ifya stay there for more than 4 hrs whichz about the normal gastronomic cycle then you’re ready for round 2 or 3. I really wish they’dve jus left the team ta play in SF! Santa Clara’s not a pretty sight to see in my opinion. it feels so indifferent and corporate. There’s always a sense of nostalgia when one travels to SF. There’s also nowhere nearby ta hang out before or after the game either and no view of the bay water. it is what it is. Go Niner! Go Giants!

It’s a brand new venue. If you come for lunch, you do NOT get access to the Dinner Menu, which kind of sucks. The lunch menu is mediocre — the dinner menu is MUCH better. Regarding lunch — go with the hot pretzels. You cannot go wrong with that. The duck spring rolls are OK. Very normal like other places. I ended up going for the Bourbon Burger(substituting in wagyu beef) — that was a big mistake. While I like blue cheese on my wings, they added way too much onto the actual burger. It’s like blue cheese overdose — make sure to go LIGHT if you order it. We also ordered dessert — the chocolate dessert was decent, but VERY thick. It was chocolate overdose for sure. You can share that between 2 people. Great place to go if you’re about to see the niners, but not the best place for a business meeting.

There are certainly cheaper ways to spend a football Sunday. However a friend and I had gone to the Steakhouse a while back and wanted to relive the carne that had ensued that night. Obviously it’s jam packed with 49ers fans. Whole heritage pork(chicharrones and all! +plus a chile verde dish), whole chickens, shrimp/scallop ceviche, fry bread, trip tip, brisket, corn bread and a ton of other things I forget. You can go from opening and eat until 3pm, which will topple even some of the NFL veterans they have at the lunch. Raffles, KGO raidio broadcast, cheerleaders… it is a giant party after all…

********************* 1138 ********************* So Michael Mina’s Tailgate restaurant only opens to the exclusive Levi’s Stadium seat holders on the home games, members-only club; Inspired by the essence of a backyard barbeque with friends on an NFL Sunday, Michael Mina’s Tailgate provides a modern twist to the classic get together with food, friends, beers, drinks, wines and 49ers faithful fans. The food is amazing, see my pictures here. It changes every time, but you can guarantee these delicious dishes: — WHOLEHOG with crispy skin, think of that 1 of a kind rotisserie can hold up 1,200 lbs of meat on top, and 400 lbs of chicken on the bottom, wow! — The Wagyu taco, yes you heard it right! & it was delicious! — The BBQ ribs — Duck, chicken too — Alaskan King crab — Prawn cocktail — Cornbread, corn, mac & cheese, side dishes — Desserts — plenty to choose from So even if you are not a seat holder, you can still try some of these dishes at the away games, or when some major sport games are on. MM Tailgate still serves dishes for the Bourbon Steak & Pub side, $ 35 for 1 round of Tailgate or $ 60 all you can eat. And it changes every time, always some new dishes for you to try! It’s totally an experience and worth it if you and your friends are going to watch the game for a few hours. The food is so good, with so many TVs on every single angle, you can enjoy any game with friends, right at the Levi’s Stadium, and the Golden Rush cheerleaders are always there to cheer with with you, what else you would ask for? Oh and the valet parking is validated, so it’s on $ 8! Sweet!
