Owner Rick Pestana is a degreed Construction Engineer with over a decade of experience designing and executing residential stone paver projects. His background in analyzing materials used in the composition of paving stones gives him an added dimension of expertise.

The crew were real craftsmen. The planter wall was all curves and nearly every paver needed trimming. They laid out the wall and trimmed pavers before ever setting permanently. Very happy with the end result.

If we could give Method Paving and Nathan 100 stars we would!!!
We were thinking about redoing our backyard so we called Method Paving for a quote. Nathan returned our call promptly and schedued an appointment that same week. We also called 3 other Companies for quotes. Right away Nathan made us feel at ease. He is very professional, friendly and honest. Nathan explained in detail about the pavers and answered all of our questions. We told Nathan we were getting a few other quotes and would get back to him later in the week.
After all of the quotes we decided on Method Paving and mostly because how comfortable Nathan made us feel. We actually had Nathan come back at least 3 times with more questions and he was very patient and answered our questions. Nathan even gave us some suggestions that we loved!
The whole project was done in about a week and a half and we are so thrilled! All of the workers were on time, professional and cleaned up after themselves everyday. Our backyard is like a paradise now. All of our friends and neighbors can’t believe how beautiful it all looks! Nathan even came back to help us with a problem we were having with the post on our patio cover.
Method Paving and Nathan are the BEST and we recommend them highly!!!

I have never written a Unilocal review, but my boyfriend and I were so happy with Method Paving that we wanted to write a review.
We had pavers installed on our driveway and back patio in September, and Nathan and his crew did an amazing job. They look absolutely beautiful, and we could not be happier. We got multiple bids, and not only did Nathan quote us the best price, but his professionalism and attention to detail made us feel very confident that we made the right choice. The crew were incredibly hard-​working, friendly, and although they worked very efficiently, they were meticulous about doing excellent work.
Nathan was an absolute pleasure to work with. He had great suggestions, stayed within our budget, and was very flexible about a couple of last-​minute changes we requested.

Hot off the presses… Method Paving just finished doing pavers in my driveway and walkway today. It is simply gorgeous. They did beautiful round edges on the walkway that curves from the driveway to the front door and a gorgeous design right at the stairs to the front door. The workers took their time, removing pavers that weren’t totally flat and fixing the base underneath each one to make sure it was 100% level. The project manager, Nathan, who gave me the bid came by numerous times to make sure I didn’t have any questions and to look over the work. He gave me his cell phone in case I had any questions during the process. We couldn’t be happier with the work and the look. It definitely adds curb appeal and widens our driveway to fit two cars plus walking space. Thank you for amazing work and superb customer service.

I’m pretty stingy about giving 5 stars in this case Rick and his crew really earned it. Rick is professional, knowledgeable and just an all around pleasant person to work with. We had some changes to our job but Rick was extremely accommodating and happy to make adjustments without the constant push back and request for extra $ like other contractors do. His crew did such an incredible job, it was a treat to watch them. They were neat, pleasant and easy to communicate with. We highly recommend these guys. Will put up some pictures once our landscaping gets done.

At the outset let me say that this is a rave review. I cannot say enough how pleased I am with the work that Nathan and his crew did.
The project was a complicated one: We wanted to replace a tired aggregate deck around a swimming pool, take out a built in spa and prep the pool for an automatic pool cover. All the pool plumbing was replaced, the pool skimmer was moved and a pool auto filler was added. The paver work had added complications in that it had to integrate with existing pavers which did not align exactly true to the house, i.e., the corners of the house are not at exact 90 degrees.
Results were artistic as well as sound. Great communication. This probably was not the cheapest firm available but given the absolutely superior results I have no complaints. Bottom Line? I will use Method the next time I have a paving job.

We used Method Paving to enlarge and pave our driveway. We had an existing asphalt driveway that was narrow and had 10 feet of useless bushes on the side. We got three bids for a new driveway and Method was our pick because the price was competitive and Rick’s personal commitment to detail sealed the deal. Rick (the owner) personally came out and spent a couple of hours walking us through his recommendation for the driveway. He gave us a lot of good advice (from his years in the business) and a drawing that detailed exactly what work would be done. He then sent us photos of previous work and a list of driveways that he had done. We drove to all of the properties and they looked gorgeous. We met three of the owners who all praised Method’s work. All had glowing reviews and nothing negative. His crew has been with him for years, which also gave us confidence.
We soon realized that our porch would look a lot better if it was also upgraded during the paving. Rick also gave us a bid for stone paving that would match our existing walkway. He had a crew of experienced stone layers that was able to interweave the new stone into the existing walkway so that it looked very natural. It is very hard to tell that the walkway had been installed 10 years before the new porch.
The crew came out and did the entire job in exactly the time frame that was given us. Our BIGGEST mistake was saying «no» to the sealant. We just thought it was an add-​on that we probably didn’t need. WRONG !!! By the third day on our beautiful new driveway, there were tire tracks everywhere. I called Rick in a panic and he quickly scheduled the sealant. I personally scrubbed the tire tracks off the driveway. Don’t make the same mistake we did! Say «yes» to the sealant. It looked AMAZING after it was done and we have not seen tire tracks on the stone after that.
The walkway also turned out great. We had a couple of concerns and Rick personally came out to address them. He had his crew return to remove some spots and it looked great after that. It’s the personal care that stands out with Method Paving.
Neighbors have commented on how gorgeous it all turned out. We are very pleased.

It’s easy to make a job look good immediately it’s finished. Much more difficult is to ensure it still looks as good years later. We had our front yard repaved and a couple of pathways added, in Spring 2012. The estimate was the lowest of the three we received but the reviews were good and there was another example of their work in the neighborhood, so we went with it. Nathan supervised the job and was excellent in every respect. The workers were efficient, tidy and very competent. Everyone showed up on time, completed the job on schedule, and stayed on budget. Two years on the job is as good as new. If pavers aren’t properly bedded they can move or subside over time. Ours look as neat as the day they were laid.
I’d unequivocally recommend these guys.

We confidently recommend Method Paving and Rick. We contracted with Method Paving to complete our Oct 2013 backyard remodel. Rick provided excellent personalized consultation to improve a design drawn up for us ~3yrs prior by a different outdoor architect. He was very adept at listening to our overall objectives: optimally level our sloping yard, extend the usable patio area, create an outdoor kitchen and compliment our tree-​covered area with paving stones, building a natural stone sitting wall, and installing a high-​quality turf lawn.
We took consultations/​estimates from others, including the contractor affiliated with our original designer. However, we went with Method Paving because:
(1) We found it easy to develop a professional and trustworthy rapport with Rick. He listened to our objectives and submitted a reasonably priced bid that challenged «up-​sells» suggested by competitors. This demonstrated his honesty and practicality, which proved Rick and Method Paving had our best interests in mind.
(2) We were impressed after viewing the work Method Paving did for previous clients. It was clear that they deliver high quality work with natural stone and pavers.
Rick set expectations well and he kept us apprised as the job progressed. Having frequent updates and regular communication with Rick made us feel like we had Method Paving’s focused attention during the entire job. He and his crew were courteous to our family and to our neighbors. His estimated timeline for completion was spot on — a testament to his knowledge and solid experience. The job was smooth as planned and on budget. We are quite pleased with how it all turned out… we enjoy admiring our backyard and look forward to spending time there.

We used Method Paving to repave over 2000ft2 of driveway and garden paths. We were about to sign with a different contractor first, but were once again put off by unresponsiveness and an unprofessional way of managing. What a breath of fresh air to work with Fred as project manager: the contract is extremely detailed with nothing overlooked. You truly know what to expect. Emails get answered quickly. Phone calls returned right away. Feedback is noted and acted upon.
The work was planned to take 2 weeks and it took exactly that long. They started a week earlier than initially scheduled.
The work was very high quality and they spent a considerable amount of time to get everything exactly right and leveled. The driveway is beautiful. We are very happy with the result.
Their quote was only a little bit above different quotes, but, contrary to the other contractors, we felt it was worth the peace of mind of getting things done right. Highly recommended.

We contacted Method Paving in April, 2013 after 17 years of living with an ugly aggregate concrete slab back patio which was uneven from tree roots and cracking. The misses had done tons of homework and knew what she wanted. Rick took our requests, made some suggestions, gave us a really fair quote compared to others, and provided some other satisfied referrals. His various crews worked diligently and the attention to detail really shows in our step down and in the leveling of the pavers. Rick came by to seal the stone himself in the end.
I think we really lucked out with our relatively small job, as Rick has more than enough work to keep him busy and doesn’t really want to grow his business too much. If you can get him, you’ll be super pleased.

I found Method Paving only by chance, looking up Diamond Certified contractors. He was the only one from the list to return my call. I also met with the company that advertises on the radio all the time and a few others whom I met at a home show.
What I liked best about Rick was that he was low pressure and actually encouraged me to get other quotes. He came up with a great design and fair price for the work. Once they started the job they continued working until it was complete.
I started with them doing a backyard patio. When the work was complete, I was so happy that I also had him do my front driveway and patio.
Rick stayed engaged throughout the job, followed up and provided great customer service. He also wasn’t pushy to get paid, which was somewhat refreshing as far as contractors go.
Recently I had an issue with a broken sprinkler pipe under one of the pathways which caused some separation in the stones. When I called Rick he showed up that day to check it out and was able to fix the problem for me. He really lives up to his customer satisfaction guarantee!

Rick and his team at Method Paving did an excellent job laying new pavers for our home driveway. Prior to hiring Rick, we obtained four quotes from professional paving firms. We chose Method paving since they offered the best combination of a fair price, quality work, and professionalism. Rick’s team did a beautiful job. Our friends and relatives continue to compliment us on how nice our driveway looks. Paving is loud work, but they were courteous to us and our neighbors throughout the entire project. And they were totally professional, unlike some of the other paving firms we interviewed. For example, there was a mix-​up where we (mistakenly) thought they had damaged an electrical wire running under the driveway. Turns out it wasn’t their fault at all, but they were totally professional and spent the time to help us diagnose that issue even after we had made payment. We confidently recommend them to anybody who wants a professional paving job done at a competitive price.
