At our office, we offer adult medical care, travel and general health vaccinations, and INS examinations all designed specifically for you to promote your full potential health and wellness.

Doctor Shah is dedicated to providing you with the utmost care and concern, respect, and dedication in your treatment. Dr. Shah is well versed in many areas of Internal Medicine. Dr. Shah frequently discovers serious medical conditions in patients that were previously undiscovered or overlooked by that patient’s previous doctors, including specialists. He is caring, compassionate and takes his time with each patient; making sure that the patients’ concerns have been fully addressed.

His office is managed by Joy Persaud, a technically diverse individual with a background spanning healthcare operations, customer and financial services. She provides a welcoming environment and ensures that all patients are well attended while visiting him.

History

Established in 2008.

We started our clinic in July of 2008. We have grown and expanded our clinic but have been able to maintain the same level of high quality, personalized medical care that our patients value. We also have a Travel Clinic that provides every type of vaccine needed for International travel. We are conveniently located next to Santa Clara Imaging and Santa Clara Urgent Care clinic. We also provide INS physical examinations.

Dr. Shah graduated with honors from UC Davis University as an undergraduate. He then attended Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and graduated in 1993 from EVMS with academic honors. He is a member of the EVMS Medical School Chapter of the national Alpha Omega Alpha Academic Honor Society. He finished his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at UCLA Medical Center from 1993 to 1996. Dr. Shah then joined Camino Medical Group in Mountain View, CA and was with CMG from 1996 until 2007. Dr. Shah enjoys spending as much time as is necessary with his patients and is incredibly caring and compassionate. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his two young boys, playing soccer, and listening to classical music.

Been seeing him for the last 6 years and I am still in shock that finally I found a doctor that talks to you and explains you everything in detail instead of the typical 5min visit that most doctors do. This doctor is awesome and really cares for your health. Hard to find doctor.

Unlike other doctors, he spends a lot of time on explaining test results. He’s very detail oriented. He’s very patient in explaining any doubts we have. He even goes to the extent of opening of a reference book to explain things using pictures.

I have my immigration physical check here. I paid two visits to him to get all things done. Dr Shah knows what to do exactly. Most of the cost is cover by insurance.
First visit (Tuesday): Some routine check. I don’t have my vaccine record so he gave me some vaccine shots. I also did TB test (the result will be read after 48 to 72 hours) in his clinic and several blood test at BioReference lab, which is in another location. There’re many BioReference labs in bay area, just go without appointment. They draw several tube of blood and will fax the result to Dr Shah’s clinic.
Second visit (Friday): read TB test result and fill the I-​693 form. The form is put in a SEALED envelop with clinic stamp. This envelop is to be mailed to the USCIS.
Overall, Dr Shah is very professional and friendly. I strongly recommend him.

Dr Shah is a great doctor. He spends enough time with patients to diagnose the problem and educates you along with it. I am not switching to any other physician as long as I a in bay area. just awesome.

My wife Lynn and I (Peter) have been with Dr. Shah for a long while now. He is the most caring doctor I have ever been seen by. He takes extra time to give you the full help you really need. I strongly recommend him. The time and care he has given my wife is nothing short of miraculous, he has probably extended her life several decades. Our insurance company United Healthcare is garbage, they are constantly trying to manage his care for us and not pay him correctly. We hope to soon leave United Healthcare to ease the pressure on all of us.

I saw one review here by an Eric L., it is unfortunate that Dr. Shah has to deal with the garbage that United Healthcare shovels on him. I appreciate the honesty that Dr. Shah shared with that patient. Its unfortunate that the client could not understand what Dr. Shah was trying to tell him. How many doctors have that kind of honesty with their clients? Not many I expect! I know that if Eric had given Dr. Shah a chance he would have been much better off.
(PPS) I just found another 2 pages of positive reviews for Dr. Shah in the not recommended section, these people probably forgot to press the 5 stars for the review.

I strongly recommend Dr. Shah for a variety of issues. He has seen me for a variety of issues from simple colds to headaches that lasted years. Kidney issues to stomach problems. He is a great listener and an old school doctor who cares about you and the family. My wife recently started to see him as well for her low back pain. He really cared and made sure she got an MRI to understand and rule out the issues. He follows up with the patients and accessible when you need him. If you are looking for a good primary care physician, look no further!

I used to see Dr. Shah until one appointment I appeared to catch him in a bad mood. While diagnosing me he began angrily venting to me about how much he hated my insurance company (United Healthcare). He complained about how they never pay him their portion and how all these backloaded bills were going to put him out of business. He basically took his frustration out on me. I sat there thinking how can I put my health in the hands of a man who simply has other priorities? Will he give me the best treatment for my case or will he do what is best for him in a business sense?
I’m now back at Kaiser and couldn’t be any happier.

One of the best doctors I’ve ever had! In my first visit when he was at Camino Medical back then, he figured out a G.I. problem I have been suffering from for many years that the other doctors had not. I just needed a simple medication.

Good doctor but the receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional. Dr shah must losing lots of business because of her. I called de shah office but it is always unreachable. She never calls back.

My company changed insurance so I was forced to find another doctor. I found Dr. Shah’s office through my insurance website. I chose him because his office was convenient to home and work for appointments.
After my first appointment with him, I found him to be a likable and, more importantly, knowledgeable. After the first visit, I would be kept waiting in the lobby for at least 45 minutes before seeing Dr. Shah. This was consistently so from this point on. I put up with it for a handful more appointments because I figured all doctor’s offices fall behind. This being the case, I started to schedule my appointments for first thing in the morning. I found that Dr. Shah could not be bothered to show up to his appointments on time. He walked in 45 minutes after my appointment was scheduled and apologized about traffic. Really!!!
The straw that broke the camel’s back was when they scheduled an appointment for a day after a holiday weekend. His Office Manager/​partner even called me the Friday before to confirm. Come Tuesday morning, I was even 15 minutes early for my appointment! I should have known better. It seems they decided to extend their holiday weekend without notifying any of their patients. I left a voicemail for them to call and reschedule me before I left. They couldn’t be bothered with a return call.
Yes, Dr. Shah is nice and knowledgeable but his action, or lack thereof, showed that he did not value his patients. If you want your time to be wasted, I highly recommend him. If you value your time, find another doctor.

My Experience at Dr Shah’s office has be unsatisfactory. I was billed twice for my yearly routine physical, When I asked the office manager Jiji she said that I was not charged and that my insurance company is scamming me with an additional bill. I had to speak with her twice and the insurance agent. at the end I did a conference call with both, found out that Jiji was at fault. she was very rude and unprofessional. I had another incident working with the Lab they had suggested. Long story short. Avoid these folks

Dr Khaliq Shah is an experienced Doctor. Dr Shah was recommended by one of my friend when my Physician moved to Dallas. I have been seeing Dr Shah for about 3 years. He diagnoses the problem very quickly. He is really good. His staff is very courteous and helpful in scheduling the appointments.

I was recommended Dr Shah by a co-​worker. Seeing significantly more positive reviews than the negative ones I decided to consult him for my recent health issues and I was not disappointed one bit :-)
Dr. Shah patiently listened taking note of everything I had to say, explained to me in great detail the possible reasons behind my condition and suggested that I get a few blood tests done.
Upon receiving the blood test reports, we discussed the good and the bad part of it in great detail after which doctor suggested a few dietary supplements, focus on healthy diet and exercise and minimal «real» medication. This really was a pleasant surprise.
After following his advice, a couple of months later, my problems have been resolved and I am a much happier and healthier person.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Shah to friends and family and anyone who needs a doctor that is not trying to shove medicines down your throat.

I’ve been seeing Dr Shah for about 2.5 years and he’s really really good. He never rushes you through the appointments. He lets you speak about all your problems and addresses them systematically. With him it is easy to take yourself from disease to wellness. He will help you holistically (through medicines, exercise, nutrition, etc.) to help you. He was kind enough to even diagnose and assess my father (who was visiting me from abroad) without insurance and at a reasonable cost. His assessment was very helpful to my father as well and now we know a whole lot more about his health situation than we did earlier (Dr Shah always explains whats going on with his patients in great detail and in an easy language).

My husband and I have been Dr Shahs patients for over 12 years. He is the best GP we have ever had. Patient, a good listener, excellent diagnostic skills, great bedside manners, compassionate, and never hurried. He takes the time to listen to his patients, and make a diagnoses on sound medical knowledge, through examination, and judicious use of tests unlike others in the field who farm patients to specialists, or order tests as diagnostic tools. Dr shah is one of the few who truly practices medicine, a rarity in this day and age.

A RARE FIND.
I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Shah. He has been my physician for over a decade, and I am pretty young. :) Before meeting Dr. Shah through my husband, I never knew that a doctor should be caring with you, humbled by your trust in him, and treat you in whole; not like an appointment to get through. He is never arrogant; he will refer you without hesitation if he felt that you need a specialist. I completely trust him. A kind and compassionate man, spend some time with Dr. Shah and you will not be disappointed.

I have been a patient of Dr Shah for about 10 years now. Following him from Camino Medical Group to where he is located now on Civic Drive.
I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Shah to anyone looking for a personable, smart, dedicated physician. He takes his time listening and caring for my mother as well. (This is no easy task — just kidding mom)
Office staff is very attentive, always cheeful. They make a pretty awesome cup of coffee for patients in the waiting room also.

I am so happy In found Dr. Shah.
I was a bit worried. My regular doctor passed away. I still can’t believe it! So unfortunately I had to find another one. I did a search for my insurance and the city I live in and his Unilocal review came up. The only review was a somewhat similar situation where the girl was worried about having to find a new doctor. After years of going to the same person that you like, it can be hard. You want to feel well taken care of. I took a leap of faith and went to see him. Gentle, kind, understanding, easy going. We talked for awhile to get him updated with me and my family. I feel lucky to have found such a great doctor. He even recommended changing a prescription so I could save money. Who does that?! Yep he’s a keeper!
