I don’t have option but to write another negative review on Kashish. She keeps on increasing the prices and on top of it she includes 10% gratuity on all services (including threading). I just feel she is taking advantage of customers and their money. Even if you are not happy with the service, you are still forced to give 10% gratuity which I don’t think she or some of her assistants deserve.
I just hope there is a better Indian salon with competitive prices so we as consumers have other options.

I first visited this place in Santa Clara for eyebrows in February 2015. It was $ 6 and the lady did a good job. Second Time I visited in April and the eyebrows price was $ 7, the lady did decent job. I recently visited in June. Price was $ 8 plus 10% gratuity. I would have been happy to pay if the service was good. But the lady this time was a newbie and took 20 minutes to shape one side, and in the end I had to show her the places where she had missed threading. Even Horrible, I had scars the next day. This was the final straw and m never visiting this place.
You cannot predict who does a good job or if that ms prefect brow maker lady is available when you go.
I have realized desi salons for threading cannot be compared to salons in India. Better to do our brows at home. We can save our face and few bucks!

Went for eyebrows and she literally made me tell her which hair to remove and still not a good job. Not coming back again !!

Best threading by Pummy. It’s a no pain and nicely carved eyes brows here. 1 extra star for her.
Good job and deal on waxing for full arms and legs.
Facials, pedicure and manicure still have scope for improvement and is an ‘Ok’ experience.
Best thing is walk ins are entertained and I pretty much do that always except on any festival time.

Not a good place to get your eyebrows done. It’s relatively cheaper than other places but then again, you don’t come out in pain every where else.
Avoid if you can.

Like some of the reviews said, this place is good only for a quick service. It is easy to get appointment and the cost is less. But Kashish does have an attitude if her work is questioned. They are always ina hurry to get things done instead of doing a quality job. The people who work there keep on changing all the time but some of them are good. I hate the waxing here because 3 people will wax you from all sides to save their time. It is a horrible way of getting waxing done. And she is increasing the price of some of the services now. sad!

Not a fan of this place. Went here for threading because it’s cheap, but it’s totally unprofessional. Some of the girls who work here are fine, but Kashish herself is horrible. Whenever she does my threading, she does a slip-​slop job. I understand that it’s cheap, but you pick your own prices; a lower price does not give you license to do a crappy job. She literally does it in like 30 seconds and leaves half the hair. And then, she charged me more than what was advertised. Regardless to say, I will not be returning. Also, it smells bad.

As some of the reviews state, kashish is not friendly. I had my eyebrows done by her once. She was rude and gave me unnecessary attitude. But not to worry, Parmi is sweet! Parmi does a good job and always greets me with a smile! She leaves very little hairs (compared to kashish who left a lot when she did mine). A few hairs being left does not bug me. I’m paying $ 6, come on now. If you are expecting amazing customer service, I suggest you go elsewhere. They get the job done and you are in and out within 5 minutes (unless there is people of ahead of you).

The eyebrow threading lady at this place PUMMY is a real B****!!! She is super arrogant, egoistic and delivers the worst customer service. One day when she threaded my eyebrows, she did not do a good job and just cleaned it up. So I told her she needs to make it slightly thinner and give it some shape. She got so offended that I asked, in revenge, she thinned by eyebrows so much that it looked like a pencil drawing. When I questioned her about it and told her that I was unhappy, she cared less and asked me to walk out of that place and never to go back to her again. The owner Kashish was not present then, so I called and told her about this incident. Like her employee Pummy, she didn’t care much either.
Its very sad that you have to pay money for services and get treated badly. With that she-​devil Pummy, I have seen customers should never question her work and ask her to customize to their needs. Its either her way or the highway! She looks like she is ready to beat you up if you ask her to do a good job… one scary woman she is!
I will never, ever go back to this salon again. Do yourself a favor and stay away from that Pummy and Kashish. Eventually, you will thank yourself for the good deed :).

I moved recently from the east cost where you can get eyebrow threading and upper lip perfectly done just for $ 8 quite new to the Bay Area I tried this Parlour cos the prices fit into my monthly budget for Parlour expense
But sadly it’s not worth it a strict no no saying the lady did a bad job is an understatement gave a bad shape to my eyebrows and left patches of hair for upper lip
Anywho never going there again

I originally started coming here for the cheap prices, but I would much rather pay a bit more to get the job done right than deal with crappy craftsmanship and RUDE service.
I’ve been here several times for a eyebrow/​lip threading and arm waxing. It is in the back of a home, so no high expectations there which is fine for the price. Kashish the owner is probably the worst person to run this business. Really lacks any customer service — only speaks to you in hindi, talks while threading, doesn’t listen to what you have to say, and misses a lot of hair, she literally takes 2 mins. I would much rather pay a few more bucks for it to be done right so I don’t have to go back and tweeze myself. However, I have had another older Indian lady who was much better! She was friendly and actually took some time to do eyebrows. Honestly, it’s just not worth it to come here and deal with uninterested customer service and poor work.
Waxing is also cheap here. I had my arms done and I can’t complain much. It is messy and kind of sloppy, I also had a former employee tell me it was unsanitary so I haven’t returned since.
This place isn’t worth it. Save yourself the annoyance and trouble and get your threading done elsewhere.

Went only for threading once but still wanted to leave a review. I agree with some women who said the the threading was painless… totally agreed. It was fast and I did not feel it as much as I feel when beauticians pluck hair one by one. She did leave a few stray hair but cleaned them when I told her about it. Eyebrow shape seems fine… no issues. And it’s ONLY $ 6 !!! So I am definitely happy and would go back if I am in the area.
Btw…it’s as desi as it can get. Don’t mean to be rude here but most Indian parlors I have been to in this country have the same feel that you get in local Indian parlors… many women getting different things done in the same area, parlor women chit-​chatting, some stuff lying here and there etc. I wouldn’t go to an Indian parlor if I didn’t like that but I am OK as long as the job gets done.

Tried eyebrow threading here. There was a middle aged Indian lady who did a pretty good job at sculpting my brows without any scars/​cuts. Well, unlike most reviews, I did not find it to be painless. There was slight pain and some redness around the brow. However, the shape of the eyebrow was perfect not too thin or thick, arched at the right angle.
She charged me $ 6 for eyebrow threading, which is definitely affordable. Will recommend trying this place if you are in this area.
So what’s holding me back from giving it more stars? It’s the service. I kept on standing inside the parlour for about ten minutes for somebody to show up and attend to me. Then I called on the number given on Unilocal,so a lady asked me to walk into the parlour and wait… Well, I was already there, incase you did’nt listen? Still another 5 – 7 minutes before somebody came out to thread my eyebrows.
Your craftsmanship is great, but service definitely needs improvement.

I’ve recently moved from the East Coast — where I can get great eyebrow threading in a salon in NYC for $ 5. So… I decided to try this place out, as I’m not quiet yet accustomed to higher prices — bad decision!
I had no problems with the home set up. It was pretty clean. However, the lady who did my threading — was not good. She gave me multiple cuts on my upper lip and eyebrow, and left multiple small hairs on my eyebrows. She tried to change the shape of my eyebrow, and I had to stop her asking her only to «clean up». I have been threading for years, and while I can get the occasional upper lip cut, to get so many, and not even do a clean job, is not acceptable– regardless of price or location.
I will gladly shell out more $ for better service elsewhere next time.

It’s a family owned skin center, so don’t expect very fancy setup. However, everything is clean and functional. It’s also the few skin center opens during Sunday, very convenience indeed.
It’s my 2^nd time going there for eye brow threading. Good job done and very decent price $ 5 + tip. It’s cheap but they didn’t do cheap job. They did the job the same or better than the $ 12 ones done in other salon. Because it’s at a back of a house, I guess that’s they don’t need to factor into the cost of renting a place by the street, and maintenance of a commercial office. Money save for me, why not? ;-)

I have a couple of friends who go here mostly because it’s so cheap and easy to get appts, so I thought I’d try it out. It turned out to be a pretty awkward experience.
When I walked in, I wasn’t quite sure who worked there and who didn’t. No one greeted me. Finally someone came by and asked me what I was there for. They sent me into the laundry room (!!) to change into a ½ gown to get my legs waxed (the gown was to cover my top ½ and there was nothing on the lower half. I was a bit scarred already but I figured no one would see me except whoever’s doing the waxing.
So I stepped out of the laundry room expecting to be greeted by someone ready to take me in for my waxing. I just stood there not knowing where to go — no one came by. There was no one in the room at the end of the hall past the laundry room, so I wandered out a bit towards the entrance.
There were 3 gals sitting there chatting and doing each other’s hair (they all worked there but were just chit-​chatting). One of them spotted me and asked what I was getting done. Uhh… leg wax… I awkwardly muttered. They decided amongst themselves which one of them would do it and she motioned for me to come out into the main area.
There was a curtain that went around that part of the room, so I was momentarily relieved that I’d at least be behind the curtain. But was unpleasantly surprised when I went around the curtain to see a woman in a chair in the middle of an underarm wax job. Another awkward moment.
I averted my eyes and debated running out of there right away. But I stuck it out because I didn’t have time to get an appointment anywhere else. So there I stood, in my underwear and a gown that covered my top half, standing in front of a lady in the middle of getting her underarms waxed, who they had turned in her swivel chair to face me (!!), and had nowhere else she could look but right at me!
Also the gal who did my wax job was some teenager (probably in college) who was unprofessional, listened to her ipod the whole time, except to make occasional «like oh my god» comments or giggle at whatever the other ladies in the room were talking about. People were wandering in and out of the curtain area the whole time! So much for privacy.
The whole experience was odd, unprofessional, and extremely uncomfortable. Oh and the place wasn’t all that clean either.

I need to get my eyebrows threaded once in every two weeks, after coming to CA i hadn’t been to any parlor/​salon whatsoever! Well, my very helpful husband read up about this place and took me to Kashish within a month of my arrival.
Well, i just got threading done and I am writing this review for all to know that it is a good place to go unless you want a swanky salon or spa. A lady named Kuljeet (is she the owner??) threaded my eyebrows and she was good at her job, quick and neat. She was pretty friendly too.
Am most definitely going back!
