Hollywood Eyebrow Threading

Won’t go back just because of the inappropriate music played by the receptionist on Friday, January 29, 2016 evening.
Never heard so many F bombs dropped and racial music in a place of business at one time. I did mention it to the threader who all of a sudden spoke no English.
Thankful no children were in the store.

This place is my go-​to place to get my brows did.
IMO, this place is a hit-​or-​miss. I’ve had several ladies do my brows here and most of the time it’ll turn out great. Very rarely, will my brows be too U-​shaped or threaded too thinly. I don’t have a preference on who touch my brows, but there is 1 – 2 ladies that I will never let touch my brows (forgot their names).
Overall, this place isn’t bad. For $ 10, it gets the job done. And when it’s f*cked up, I just let it grow. But then, this is my face. So I might start looking for another place. But until then, Hollywood Eyebrow will have to do.

Not a good job… I feel like I could’ve done better by just plucking and trimming on my own .:/​didn’t even try to make eyebrows look nice literelly just took 5 mins and she was done. It still had hairs that needed to be rid of. very dissapointed

This was the second place I got my eyebrows ever done at and I still continue to drop in here and there because they make my brows awesome! I don’t feel pain here when the ladies thread my brows and they always do a fantastic job. They now have their own store which is nice and spacious on the second floor of the mall near the entrance by Macy’s men. They recently started a rewards card. Kind of pricey, but good quality.

I come here all the time to get my eyebrows threaded. My eyebrows are thin and for the most part they do a great job just cleaning them up. Satisfied customer!

This is the final straw, I’m absolutely done with this place. I’ve been a loyal customer, spent my money here over the past several years and even after many screw ups with their threaders, I always came back.
Today I came in to get my eyebrows done, there was no problem there. The issue is their stamp cards. NO WHERE POSTED IN THE STORE OR ON THE CARD DOES IT SAY YOU CANNOT COMBINE THE STAMP CARDS.
I would bring up the issue about not having my stamp card with me at times and all they would do is give me a new one. Apparently they can’t verify that these were my services done which is absolute BS. The threaders talked amongst themselves in another language and just flat out said they couldn’t do it but next time to get a receipt & have the stamps added to the card later. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE IF I HAVE IT ON ONE CARD OR ANOTHER CARD? ITS ABSOLUTELY STUPID.
NEVER was I given the option of getting a receipt and having it added on later, it must have been just made up so they don’t have to honor it. Receipts are NEVER given with cash transactions, the only time I’ve received or given the option for a receipt is with a credit card transaction.
And lets keep it real, I am one very few male customers that come in there to get their eyebrows threaded, its not hard to say I don’t blend in with their normal customer base. I check in on Unilocal and if I wasn’t a faithful customer that comes in all the time, I would have 20+ check ins & be the Duke of this location as of April 24, 2015.
I am not poor, I am a hard working individual that does not need to cheat someone out of $ 10 for a few minutes of labor and cheap thread to get my eyebrows done.
SAVE YOUR MONEY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I’ve had my eyebrows threaded here two times now, and this place is A-​ok in my book. Its not a fantastic threading business, but neither is it a bad one. It gets the job done for a good price.
Pros: it’s just $ 10 for eyebrow threading, which is a hard price to find nowadays, at least in my experience. I also like that Hollywood Eyebrow has a rewards/​stamp card that gets you a free service done on what I believe is your 8^th visit. Definitely looking forward to that. In terms of quality of the actual service, the women here do a good job and the environment here seems pretty clean.
Cons: although the employees here produce good results, I think they could put a little bit more care into developing a relationship with their customers. Like some Unilocalers have noted, you kind of just get put into a seat and don’t get consulted or end up talking to your threader. Its a very quiet experience, especially when in comparison to previous services I have gotten elsewhere. Even the front desk on my last visit wasn’t very welcoming or warm; she didn’t talk to me until I had to pay.
I also think that my skin could’ve been cared for a little more on my visits, by prepping it with more of the gel that they use. It’s not a total big deal, but my skin gets kind of puffy and my eyes watery when I get threaded, so it would’ve been nice to see them tend to my individual needs.
Overall, I would return to Hollywood Eyebrow, but I’d hope to see a few of the cons I mentioned addressed in my next few visits.

I normally get my eyebrows done at Evergreen Threading & Skin; but every once in a while, I would get my eyebrows done here due to convenience since I am always at Valley Fair Mall and there is never a wait even when you don’t make an appointment.
I came here on a Monday Night about an hour before they closed. There was no one in there and the ladies were just sitting there. I walked in and was not greeted by anyone even though there were no other customers there. Well that’s fine, so I walked to the front desk and wow! The girl at the front desk was horrible. She was on her phone talking to her friend or whomever she was talking with in Spanish instead of helping me. I just looked around and then back at her. I finally spoke up and said I wanted to get my eyebrows done and she told me to sign in and got back to what she was originally doing. Anyways, I signed in being the only one there and only one on the list; but maybe its protocol. So she told me to go sit on the chair.
After, I went to go pay and the front desk girl was still on the phone… She told me it was 10 dollars, and then went back to doing her own thing. She was on the phone the entire time and only stopped to answer my question but talking on the phone, I guess was her main focus. Haha. But anyways, I thought that was a bit rude and unprofessional. But Whatever.
As for the eyebrows. I thought it was just okay. My eyebrows are pretty easy to do, but I just don’t always like how it turns out sometimes, especially when I compare it to getting it done at Evergreen Threading & Skin. I been here a few times and there were times where my eyebrows came out nice but then there were other times where they actually messed up on it a few times. Minor errors, but still.
Like I said, I come here due to convenience and I am okay with it. The minor errors don’t effect me as much and no one would notice anything unless I point it out. But this isn’t a place I would recommend to others.

THEY SUCK! IF U WANT CROOKED EYE BROWS WITH A ZIG ZAG GO AHEAD BE MY GUEST! Went in today and havent done my eyebrows in 3 months so my eyebrows were like a blank canvas aka there was no prior shape that they could have used as an excuse!!! Went in signed my name on a clipboard and some lady approached me and said come sit! I sat down and she had me hold my eyebrows to stretch them out (which is what they normally do) and then she started… She kept snipping my skin (which if they know how to do it shouldnt happen) so i was patient and told myself to wait till she finished. When she told me it was done I looked in the mirrow and literally wanted to. cry!!! My left eyebrow was thick and shapeless and my right was really thin oval shape with No eyebrow arch! It was the shape of a Rainbow! I asked her to fix it and she told me I had to wait till they grew back to fix.them. Again when I walked in they were already grown out. I paid my money walked out. Got in my car looked in the mirror and realized they were WORSE then i thought! So I walked back in and asked for someone to fix the thick one! The second lady reassured me they would grow out, but my eye brows don’t grow out fast that’s why I can go months without doing them! LONG STORY SHORT I HAVE TO PENCIL THEM IN NOW TO GIVE THEM A SHAPE WHICH I’VE NEVER HAD TO DO MY WHOLE LIFE.

Been treating the scabs on the skin under my eyebrows. Never, ever had anything like this happen in years of threading.

The lady took a call while she was doing my eyebrows and totally messed them up not cool. So now I have bald spots on my eyebrows. However I’ve been here one other time and that time was fine. So I guess it’s hit or miss.

This place was pretty busy when my sister and I went in on a Friday afternoon for eyebrow threading. The atmosphere was peaceful and the wait was short.
I agree with a previous reviewer that the lady that threaded my brows immediately started working on me without consultation. Other than this, I am satisfied!
But, my sisters skin became very red and puffy immediately after the lady finished– that had me worrying that she had an infection. Overall, not sure I will come back here or try some place else.

I always wonder how a threading place can cover so much overhead. For just threading, this is a big space. You walk in, put your name down and wait. It doesnt take long at all. I’ll come here to get my eyebrows done because they do an amazing job. If you’re still waxing and haven’t tried threading yet, you should definitely stop getting your eyebrows waxed.

So sad Nadia is no longer working here. She was fantastic at her job and the only reason I came here.
To Management: You should have tried to keep her! She brought in great cliental. Now I need to find a new place. (…sad face)

Nadia was the best. I had been going to her for a year. They just told me Nadia does not work there anymore — is there a way to find out where she is working now?
I am not sure if I want to try anyone else’s hand.

I used to have really thin/​almost nonexistence eyebrows but finally in 2009 I grew out my eyebrows for 7 months. I did not pluck, wax, or trim them at all the entire time. Yes, it was hard but it needed to be done. After months of not doing anything I came here for the first time. I showed them pictures of my eyebrow inspiration and they nailed it! Ever since then, I come here every 2 weeks and have them touch up my eyebrows. I absolutely love this place and recommend this place for anyone who wants fabulous eyebrows!

Came here for the first time today. My sister comes here and raves about it, plus her brows always look great.
Walked in, signed my name and they took me right away. The lady did great and my brows are completely clean and look perfect. I was in and out in 10 minutes or maybe less. And for 10 bucks makes it even better.
I took a star away because it was my first time and she kind of just plopped me in the chair and started going at it without any talk or questions about anything I wanted and just grabbed my hands to hold my eyebrows a certain way. Just kind of seemed like I was a chore. Not much customer service.
For the price and job they do, I’ll still come back though!

A lot of new people. The girl that did my brows and forehead did Ok. .Hmmmm don’t think I’ll be coming back anymore :-(

I first saw this open up a few months back on my way to Sports Authority. I am more of a wax person but I needed to get my eyebrows down and so I walked in. The first time I got my eyebrows done it was by a very nice Indian lady and she was gentle yet effective. She did a great job. They have a rewards card and just like most places, every time you get their services they punch a number and after 10 visits you get your eyebrows done free. Anyhow, this last time I went to get my brows done, I got this very moody lady. She was not Indian .and if I had to guess I’d say she was middle eastern but who knows. Well she was moody, mean and to top it off she started arguing with another lady that works there because apparently a co-​worker or someone else stole her tweezers! Very unprofessional and not friendly at all. I will go back just because the threading does look better than the waxing, but I will definitely ask for someone else next time.

Threading is supposed to hurt. It wraps a thread around the hair and pulls it out. Threading is not supposed to hurt as much as it does here. For some reason, the threader is not using the same amount of pressure on all of the eyebrow. The different levels of pressure and strength cause the eyebrow to hurt more.
The shape I came out with was horrendous. My eyebrows did not naturally look like that. Threading is supposed to show the natural curve but it didn’t.
Unless the other threaders are better and you’ve found your favorite, I would not recommend this place.
