Emilio and his team did a great job for me. I am in the process of getting a home ready for sale as part of an estate and there was a lot to get done. He was able to come out and give me a very reasonable quote same day, and get to work within 2 days after that. It was a real bushwhack of a job too, the house had been untended for over 3 months. He took care of a lot of little things as well that I hadn’t even noticed, and most importantly, he was punctual and got things done when he said he would. Did not waste my time, which is almost as important to me as getting the work done itself.

I previously gave this guy a five start rating. Sorry for anyone who followed that. He started great for the first month. Then he quit doing some of the work, then he worked for only fifteen minutes, then he’d skip weeks. I’d call him about this, he’d argue with me, lie to me, make new promises. On and on. The final straw was that he cut down my pear tree when I asked him to trim the suckers. I’m stupid. I should have kicked him to the curb weeks earlier. I wonder if any of the photos he shows are really his stuff. Kind of like internet dating photos?

I requested a quote from De La Cruz and they scheduled a time with me and showed up when they said they would. After checking out my severely neglected yard they described the options available and quoted me a fair price. They were able to do all of the work the same day and everything looks fantastic. They did everything I asked for.

I called on a Thursday and got a returned call right away. I needed to meet Friday at 8am since I have clients to meet starting at 9am and did not want to be late for them. I sent a text message with my address to Emilio for 8am on Friday. He called me several times later that evening but did not leave a message. He was trying to inform me that he meant Saturday, not Friday. I meant Friday. He sure could have responded to my text message, that is a form of communication as well. I figured oh well I’ll give him another chance so I did and set up a time for Saturday at 8am. By 8:15 or so he had not shown up so I checked my phone and there was a text saying «I’ll be late» so I just told him forget it.
I just needed some gardening work done and am pretty easy to work for but there’s only so much I can do. It takes effort on both parties sides in order for a business to work well and clients to get great service and be happy with results.
I make every appointment with my clients on time and with good communication. No excuses. Take this and lean from it so possibly it won’t happen again.

I needed to get some yard work done asap, as i have an open house coming up this weekend. So i contacted him through Unilocal on Saturday night.
Sunday morning, i had a reply in my email to give him a call to discuss the quoting process.
Monday morning at 715am, he was outside looking at my yard. Once we agreed on the price to mow, trim hedges, pull weeds, and prune, Emilio and his right hand man got to work right away. 45 mins later, my front yard was clean and bright after pruning the bushes that were growing into my front walkway, then took off to handle some work he was already scheduled to do.
Tuesday, he called and showed up with 2 other workers to finish up. 3 debris piles and a large green bin later, my front yard was looking great. I made a mess of one of my bushes which was front and center of my yard. it was really bad. i just chopped it to half its size and it looked half dead. he pruned it and now it looks natural, like it was meant to be that short to start with. Amazing.
Overall, i’m very pleased with the amount of work he and his team were able to get done on such short notice and in such a small timeframe. He even took the time to chit chat for a little bit, and give me some tips on how to properly prune my bushes and how to maintain my lawn.

wow! i am utterly impressed by emilio’s work ethic, courteous manner, and ability to transform a yard into eye candy! after seeing comments regarding his work from very satisfied customers of his from the next door neighborhood app, i had to give his handiwork a try. i first asked him to give me a quote on cleaning up the front and back yard, take out weeds, trim a tree, and bring our grass back to life (which i wasn’t sure was possible) add bark around the lawns and plant flowers in my pots. considering my lot is alpprox 9300 sq feet, this was not a simple task. he is always a gentleman. he is a hardworker and does a lot of the work himself, but also has workers who also have a similar work ethic. he is very easy to communicate with and very knowledgeable. within a couple of weeks my grass came to life and my yard looks stunning. he cleaned up very well! his price is incredibly reasonable and i could not resist hiring him to do maintenance. this week was my first scheduled maintenance and i could not be happier! i am not an easily satisfied customer so for me to give 5 stars is something someone really has to earn. thank you emilio!!! you deserve more than 5 stars!

Emilio just spent the morning on my yard because I had let it go so long. He filled three large trash cans and a few black bags with yard debris and weeds, and prunings. He has experience working on larger homes in Palo Alto etc. but wants to build his accounts more in our area because this is where he lives. Emilio is very pleasant, punctual, experienced, and takes the initiative to do more than what is asked. He takes pride in his work and the results show it! On Time, Fair Price, Quality Work
Its hard to find someone that takes pride in their work. If you hire these guys you’ll see what I mean. They came out to trim a shrub for me that I’ve been to lazy to do myself. Well I glad I was Emilio made small recommendations and now I have a clean looking shrub and nice looking mulch in my front yard. How to rate his success well everyone one on my street loves him!

Emilio stands out in two aspects: excellent work ethics and knowledge. He takes pride in his work and treats my garden as his own. He takes time in trimming the plants to perfection. He takes course in gardening at the community college and applies it effectively to his daily work. As one example, he knows a special lawn fertilizer, enabling the brown lawn to come back to green in spite of the reduced watering. In short, a pleasant, reliable and knowledgeable gardener who takes his work seriously.

Worked with Emilio on my front yard. He did a great job. He removed all the ivy and took down some Yucca trees and bushes for me. He did all the drip irrigation and also put bark throughout the front yard. He also did some things for me on his own like trimming some bushes and taking weeds out of the driveway. He also is always on time and will email/​text updates to you as well. I would highly recommend him.
