Great glasses exam. Good personality and good price (60). Was able to do a walk in exam and get seen within 30 minutes. I’d recommend to my friends any time to come here for an eye exam.

This is a review pending for quite some time, My wife left her glasses in India & we were looking for appointments for optometrists. Meanwhile, we went to Target to do some shopping and just thought of trying the optometrist there.
I have been in the Bay Area for around 3 years and have tried many optometrists. Frankly, ⁹⁄₁₀ of then will just care about getting the insurance money without even ensuring your satisfaction and liking for the glasses prescribed. Christine is certainly not that type, she is completely out of the league and made sure that my wife was completely satisfied by her glasses, she recommended her lenses and even gave her some samplers to try on. I was really bowled over by the time she devoted to us and patiently answered our queries about lenses and made us aware of the various pros and cons.
Really thankful to you Christine. Please keep up the good work.

I came in today for an eye exam, and Dr. Yang gets you feeling comfortable right away. She gave me everything I needed to be able to go on with my day. I came in with my glasses broken, so I did my eye exam for contact lens and prescription glasses to check before I order the new pair. Without having glasses for two weeks, Dr. Yang suggested that I wear contact lens a few days until my glasses are made, so since I already had experience wearing contact lens… she gave me two boxes of contact lens for free! She’s awesome!

Have to agree with the other high reviewers.
Just saw Dr. Yang today and she was prompt, polite, friendly, and competent. Did a thorough exam and wrote up my prescription in about 30 mins. No sales pressure. The usual $ 60 fee was discounted for AARP down to $ 45. I consider that good value and will be coming back next year.

For anyone reading these reviews they are all legit! I know some places give kickbacks for a «good review» this is one of the rare times where I can say this is a 5+++ star review.
My experience…
I was busy at work so never got around to schedule an appointment for the eye doctor before year end. I decided to try something new that would fit in with my schedule and found Dr. Yang. Normally I wouldn’t think of getting my eyes checked inside Target but after reading the reviews and thinking it be easy for me to pick up my contacts and glasses since I go to Target weekly!
Scheduling the appointment: Didn’t have to call (a lot of places only have that option). I scheduled it online (on Christmas Eve!) and I rec’d all the reminders and confirmations via email. Was very happy how easy it was to confirm and schedule, beats staying on hold :)
The actual appointment: They were pretty busy so I wasn’t seen until a little after my scheduled appointment. The entire staff was friendly and it was no problem for me… (I seen eye doctors who are behind an hour… this was no where near that). What was refreshing to see if that Dr. Yang was actually answering questions and cashiering herself.
During the exam Dr. Yang was professional and personal. (really rare when going to the doctor!) No stress w/​all the test (most doctors I have been run that puff test 100 times). She was very detailed when figuring out my prescription since it was my first time there and I forgot what it was. At the end of the exam she gave me a sample of new contacts to try. She wasn’t pushing them or anything (they were new to her) but just to see if I liked them.
Post Exam: Got fitted for glasses took advantage of a Target promo. The optical staff was just as friendly. After I got home I had a question re: insurance and bill (doctor visit was sep. from glasses/​contacts on invoice). I did ask a lot of question that were answered by the staff but they were for glasses/​contacts. Dr. Yang replied and made sure I had all the information I needed. I want to say that I probably paid a little more out of pocket w/​my insurance (because of networks) however given the service and ease of the whole experience it didn’t even cross my mind to check nor would it have impacted my decision to come back in the future.
Overall great visit — thank you Dr. Yang & Staff!

So I went into target one day & I saw this cute little brochure @ the door for glasses! I’ve been to target so so many times & never knew they had an optometrist there. I saw that they took my insurance & decided to take advantage since my benefits were going to be ending soon. The exam with Dr. Yang was great! I was nervous going in because I knew my eyes were bad but I was super comfortable and it went really smooth. All the girls that work there are super nice and sweet. The best thing about my experience was that I was told I’d get my glasses in two weeks… Then i got a text 4 days later & my glasses were ready to go! Highly recommend checking this spot out!

I needed a new optometrist in NorCal and Dr. Yang and her staff are incredible. Friendly, efficient, and very convenient. They answered questions about my prescription and easily checked if I was covered by my insurance. Great experience all around.

I’m not usually one who writes reviews on places but here it goes… first off I’m not a big fan of going to optometrists to begin with but after reading all the awesome reviews I decided to give this place a go. All the reviews are true in what they say. Dr Yang makes you feel like you’re the only patient when you’re in there. The service and level of professionalism was excellent. She also explains all the different things she’s doing and all your options. One of the things that really stood out to me was she’s not pushy at all like the other places to try hard sell you in a product. Definetly would recommend this place to anyone who isn’t a fan of going to the eye doctor. It’ll probably change your view lol

Extraordinary experience. My appointment with Dr. Yang and the visit to Target Optical was simply one of the best interactions I have had with any business, anywhere, at anytime in my life. I left feeling really good about choosing Dr. Yang. The experience with her may be summed up best in these words: exceptionally personable, professional, extremely thorough, remarkably warm and light-​hearted. Many of Dr. Yang’s reviews use the adjective «awesome». And they’re right, she’s awesome!

What a terrific office visit! Folks, if you want to come get your eyes examined by a professional that has patience, is informative, is easy to talk too and is VERY fairly priced. I would 100% suggest you to visit Christine. I was so impressed by her generosity and time she allocated to do on me, all the samples she provided me along with her recommendations without trying to up-​sale me. I really appreciated that and felt immensely grateful that she does the examination well. Before I left, I wanted to not only leave her a tip but also leave this location a well deserved review. Excellent experience! I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Yang as soon as I met her.
Came in for an eye exam for my yearly contacts and glasses prescription. It was easy to make an appointment over the phone, and I came right in on a weekday (Fri). The price for the exam is super competitive to Costco’s price. Also, the staff that work with Dr. Yang is awesome. She made sure to let me know that if I have AAA or certain types of insurance I can get a discount on my contacts :)
I appreciate that Dr Yang took the time to educate me.
She made sure not to overprescribe me as well. She also introduced me to an awesome new brand of contact lenses that make my eyes less dry. I would highly recommend her!

Best experience ever! Dr. Yang explained every step of the examination very well, and made sure the whole visit was great. She is very approachable and easy to talk to.
The office staff was also very nice and helped me in picking out a frame and sunglasses. They were very friendly, listened to what I wanted and were able to point out frames that I liked.

Dr. Yang is nothing like the other optometrists I’ve met before. She is engaging, approachable, efficient, and a tad of humor. She was kind from the moment she first said hi to the moment she waved goodbye.
Each test was explained fully. There was a purpose to each ridiculous thing she made me do… Or so she claimed. Nothing was done without a purpose. Each knob she turned caused one of her new-​age tech machines to whirl and click.
It is difficult to explain the relief you feel during the visit. The wait is short and yet the time she spends with you will not feel rushed. There was no feeling of embarrassment that you may feel in a traditional setting for not knowing certain things. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I felt comfortable. All most too comfortable. I didn’t even feel like I was in an optometrist’s office. And I guess, that’s alright with me.
Price wise, it is very comparable to that of Costco’s. However, my experience here has been vastly different in a positive manner, and I quite like that. Oh, any the other employees at the optical department are pretty awesome themselves.

I was greeted by two of the friendliest workers. Did not mind waiting at all. Dr. Yang and her assistants are the happiest office staff that I’ve experienced yet.
Dr. Yang is the best optometrist I have ever had the pleasure of visiting! I wish all medical providers could be as awesome as her.
She was very informative, honest, genuine, & made sure that all of my questions and concerns were clearly answered. For example– I’ve always had bad night vision in terms of blurry and glaring lights. All other optometrists told me it was normal and didn’t ease my concern. However, Dr. Yang actually told me the reason why the light affects my eyes at night (my pupils are huge and can’t focus) & also gave me solutions.
A strange balance between a very effective optometrist and someone that I would love to be friends with!

Dr. Yang is super awesome. It is like she reinvented the eye examination to be efficient, informative and yes actually fun. She does a great job on explaining what she is doing and what each test does. Dr Yang is the best eye doctor I’ve had. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to get an eye exam.
Her staffs are awesome, too. both of them have great attitudes and would greet people as they come in. They are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
The office is also very modern and nice. The eye examination room is also very pleasant. Highly recommended!

I LOVE THIS PLACE.
The cosy office is nestled right next to the optical center. Everything is brand new, modern and most importantly, CLEAN! The optometry staff is so friendly. My understanding is that Dr. Yang graduated from U.C. Berkeley, the top optometry school in California, which makes me wonder why she’s working at Target. I guess that’s good for patients who want a high-​quality eye exam at a reasonable price. It seems that Dr. Yang keeps herself updated with the latest optometry research. I spend a lot of my time reading in graduate school, so my eyes really take a beating. I didn’t realize to what extent until I got a contact-​lens exam with Dr. Yang. I feel like she really cares about the health of my eyes and she recommends the best products and practices to protect them.
Your eyes are so important, why would you go any place else?!
