I ordered my baby shower cake from them and it turned it amazing!!! The cake was so moist and delicious! The mango filling seemed to be everyone’s favorite but I most enjoyed heir chocolate cake. the design was on point! The cup cakes were so cute and good. I was just so happy with the service. I will be using them for my nephews 2^nd birthday this July and every other occasion.

For our one year anniversary, we brought in a photo of our wedding cake and as promised, Cero and Cake Expressions baked us an anniversary cake (instead of having us freeze cake for a year!). The anniversary cake was HUGE (took us days to finish) and delicious. We had expected a tiny little cupcake! This cake made us very happy for many days hehe. Love what they do for their customers! :)

Went back to Cake Expressions for a surprise birthday cake and again, they did not disappoint. I had the idea of creating a cake in the shape of a Sapporo tall can (my boyfriend’s go-​to beer) and Cake Expressions made it happen. Their team is comprised of the friendliest, most helpful, and creative people. I went for a lemon cake with a raspberry filling. The cake was moist and delicious and so much fun to cut into!

Cake Expressions made our cake for our son’s Bar Mitzvah a few months ago. I loved the cake so much I didn’t want to cut it! Robynne was very patient and professional when we were designing the cake. She offered great advice and suggestions. She was very generous with the cake tasting. The cake was delivered to our event without a hitch. It looked more beautiful and tasted more delicious than I could have imagined. I highly recommend Cake Expressions!

I swear I had written a review and posted a photo — but nope I cannot find it.
I found cake expressions when I went for lunch at Kenny’s café one day (go there — get the teriyaki cheesesteak and thank me later)
We had set a date for the wedding in Gilroy and cake was on the list to do — so we popped in and took a quick look, got a card, asked really generally about pricing and size, and I was going to check it out on Unilocal (of course!). My wedding was 70 peeps, and she quote in the $ 600– 800 range including that they would deliver down to Gilroy for a nominal charge.
The reviews are all good, and so we set up a tasting. The tasting is not like I have seen on wedding shows, where you get a bunch of cake slices and frosting cups so you can try various combinations, here they give you 9 slices of cake — tell you what they are and you go at it. They were pretty basic combos, but I am a foodie and wanted something unique, so we looked at the menu of choices.
We when off menu and chose a yellow cake with cannoli filling and a white butter cream. Since it was off book, they suggested we get a 10″ cake with our chosen flavors for $ 10 a couple months before the wedding. I am not sure why but I had a moment of frugality and said no until my wise husband to be said we should for $ 10! GLAD we did. I was not really a fan of the buttercream frosting on the tester cake, to me it tasted not buttery, and too sugary.
Now comes the awkward part of calling them and telling them I didn’t love the frosting, I could have done chocolate frosting and added a layer of fondant — but who likes fondant anyway? (though we did have a taste of it here and it has some marshmallow in it so it wasn’t as bad as usual)
I was dreading making the call, but I did, I got the gal on the phone and we were brainstorming, I asked if they had cream cheese frosting, and voila, problem solved.
My wedding was «tree-​themed» and they copied a photo I brought of a birch tree cake, it was a lovely cake. People said it was delicious, we only had the one bite, but someone saved the topper and it is in our freezer!
I believe it was around $ 700 all in (you get a discount for paying cash). I thought that was pretty reasonable.

We chose Cake Expressions to do our son’s engagement cake this past weekend. We met with Robin, their cake designer, and we had a picture of what we wanted. During our appointment she brought out several plates of the variety of cakes that they make for us to taste. It was really a special and fun time choosing the flavors that we wanted, and deciding on all of the other details. There was even a color chart for the icing, like you would find a paint store. Nothing was left to chance.
Not only was our cake beautiful, they definitely exceeded our expectations, as the cake was so fresh and moist and delicious!
We will definitely go back to Cake Expressions for the wedding cake next year!

We wanted a barn/​farm themed cake and within a week! A lot of bakers in the area refused to help given the short notice, except for of course, Cake Expressions! They were happy to help, asked us to email a picture of the design and also had a pack of toy farm animals that we could purchase add to our order! The cake was excellent and true to our design, the 3 tiered cake was yummy too! Thank you, team Cake Expressions, for exceeding our expectations!

This is the first time I got a cake custom made for a friend and so was a little worried! But WOW!!! I absolutely loved the way the cake turned out! These guys are really really good! My friend is a huge Cricket fan and so I got a cake made with the cricket bat, ball and stumps. I had specific instructions for the items and sent some pictures for reference. Especially the bat, I wanted a very specific design on it with the name and autograph of his favorite player. I must say it turned out so much better than I expected! They truly deserve 5-​stars.
I coordinated with Robynne for the design and she was really very sweet and helpful. She definitely got what I was looking for in the cake and made it to perfection. I would definitely recommend this place.

Whether you deal w/​them on the phone or via email, they are responsive and a delight to converse w/​. I wanted Gavin’s 4^th birthday cake to be special because he deserves it; this little guy has been w/​me through thick and thin and thanks to my consistent discipline, I take him literally everywhere w/​o a worry in my mind that he’ll act like a butt.
Like me, he loves a lot of things. I printed a Pavelski jersey, a picture of Mickey Mouse, and a picture of Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers. As you can tell by my picture for this wonderful bakery, he picked the RR crew. Like me, he is a chocolate lover.
I told Robynne what I wanted and w/​in 2 emails, I put my order in. I wanted the devil’s food cake w/​fudge filling. To place the order, they need a 25% deposit. I just paid for the entire thing. I have saved little by little to freely spend $ 55 on a nice cake for my little guy.
WAZE took me to nowheresville so do not use that app. The bakery is between Martin and Reed. If you are coming from North San Jose, it’ll be on your left hand side. Plenty of street parking.
The cake was beautiful and looks exactly like the picture. The picture was printed on rice paper and the frosting work was awesome. He blew out the candle the next morning and it was moist as hell. The chocolate devil’s food cake is moist but was not rich however, the fudge filling was rich and decadent. The frosting is very sweet but no complaints from the birthday boy and his mom (me!).
I told Tess that we can order a cake for no reason and she can pick what she wants on the cake. Now that she is in her tween years, it is difficult to find out what she really wants but based on her expression, I can tell that she was just amazed at the cake. We will order one soon. In two weeks.

My wedding cake was both beautiful and tasty! The cannoli filling is one of the specialty options, and it was a huge hit with everyone. Everyone was so patient and easy to work with. Dominic is an absolute gem of a human being, I just want to hug him!

I just wanted a small cake at our wedding, just for my husband and me. Spoke with Robynne and let her know what I wanted. Cake came out exactly like I wanted. Unfortunately I only ended up eating one bite of cake that night, but it was delicious. Got lots of compliments on how pretty the cake was!

We couldn’t have selected a more perfect vendor to make our wedding cake. Cero and team are truly amazing. Its our 3^rd year anniversary, and going through our wedding album prompted me to post this review. I know, I’m terribly late but his service is totally worth it.
I started cake shopping way before starting my search for a venue and dress. A little backwards, I know, but in my culture the wedding cake is a huge focal point to which the number of cakes signified a more important meaning than its design. I called a number of bakers and none were able to meet the demands… until I met Cero. From our initial meet & greet, to the cake tasting, to the planning, date change, and actual wedding day– Cero was a total SUPERSTAR!
He exceeded all my expectations with design, follow through and taste. My cake was 15-​tiers with 3 choice flavors. Everyone raved about how beautiful and delicious it was. My sisters were also able to take an 8″ layer of the burnt almond cake flavor to Alaska for my grandparents to taste. Thank you Cero for meeting and exceeding the demands of our big polynesian wedding.

I was looking for someone to do a 3 tier cake for my baby’s 1^st birthday. I also wanted a smash cake for her to dive into. The large cake needed to be big to feed about 100 people. My usual cake lady couldn’t do the two cakes for that day since she was out of town, so on the hunt I went. Looking on Unilocal,I saw that there was about 5 bakeries/​cake businesses that looked like they could do the cakes I wanted. But some priced their cakes way too high, some couldn’t do that day, etc. Cake Expressions was available and their pricing seemed fair for the cake that I wanted. They were, also, very prompt in responding. That was a huge factor for me, because I felt more confident in their level of service. Their responses were always professional, and they were also really helpful in planning the cake I wanted. The day of the event, they delivered the cake right on time, and it looked absolutely beautiful. The smash cake was also so darn cute. Just perfect. The cakes were very good, and there was more than plenty for the party. 5 stars.

Cerro and his assistant helped create a replica of my interest inspired cake… And they delivered! Not only was my cake exactly what I wanted, but the taste was delicious, unique and moist! My guests raved about the cake and enjoyed every single bite!
The first appointment consisted of designing the cake and choosing the appropriate size. On the second appointment, my husband and I had our cake tasting!
I’m very content with the quality of their work, the taste and their diligence! The cake was delivered on time and they had no problem coordinating with my venue.

I am sooooooooooo in love with my wedding cake! Cero and Robynne were so sweet and helpful through the months in helping us plan. Our cake was whimsical, unique, chic, and kind of funny. They did EXACTLY what we asked for! I couldn’t stop staring at it at my wedding, and it was quite the conversation piece too. :) Not to mention it tasted delicious. Our flavors wereC mango cake with mango and raspberry Bavarian cream, and white chocolate fondant. Yumm! Thank you Cake Expressions for making our big day even more memorable.

This review is way overdue! But Cero and his team are wonderful people and are all so talented!!! I had my wedding last year, and our cake was beautiful!!! This weekend we are celebrating our 1 year anniversary, and if you bring in a photo of your wedding cake they do make you a free small cake for your anniversary! Would definitely make an order again for another event!

Cero made this beautiful cake for my son’s first birthday. I wanted a baby blocks cake with a jake the pirate theme and he made it happen! I loved it! I got 3 different flavors for each block, got mango mousse, red velvet and chocolate raspberry with chocolate ganache. It was very good! They were moist too! It’s perfect! My guests were asking where I got the cake from. Thank’s cake expressions!

I only had a few days to look for a bakery that can give me the cake that I wanted. I had an idea of what the perfect cake would look like for a special surprise birthday party at work. The design I had in mind follows the shape of my company’s logo (hexagon) and colors (red and white).
I called over a dozen of bakeries around the peninsula and south bay that offers beautiful elegant cakes with the design that I think they can do. However, none of them expect for Cake Expressions was able to do in just a few days.
The cake was delivered and Robynne was a delight to work with! The cake came out exactly what I imagine it to be and it was delicious! I couldn’t ask for a better cake given the time I had. I would definitely order from Cake Expressions again in the near future.

Where to start with this cake place? First of all I have to say, Cero and Robin were a pleasure to work with.
For my wedding I struggled a lot to find the right wedding cake. I went cake tasting everywhere and just couldn’t get the right place. I went to Cake Expression and LOVED the tasting that they had, in fact my husband and I loved every since cake that was put in our plate. However, they were a bit pricey for our budget, so we went to another place to find a more cheaper cake. However, we went everywhere and couldn’t stop thinking about the cake we had at Cake Expressions. We went back and had another tasting, and of course, the cake was same, on point, so moist, and flavor hadn’t changed.
We decided to finalize the cake right then and there, and that was the BEST decision I made for my wedding. All my guests were blown away with the cake and they absolutely loved the cake and kept asking where it was from. This review is unfortunately exactly a year late, but I want to thank Cero for giving me the best and beautiful cake I have ever laid eyes on.
Cero is a gem to work with and gives you EXACTLY what you want. Thank you Robin and Cero for all your efforts in making successful cake layouts, and delivering on time, and making sure we get exactly what we want, and making the best suggestions.
