Beat The Lock Escape Rooms

Did this for my daughter’s 13^th birthday, her and her friends had a blast ransacking the room for clues. Rene is awesome, she is very thorough in preparation for the room. It was a great experience that these kids will not forget. If you love the escape the room apps, this real life game is better. A must try!

It was my first time experiencing an Escape Room and at first I was really nervous because I doubted my detective abilities, but it was so much fun! It’s really about using everyone’s strengths and working together. But if push came to shove, you can request some hints to help you along.
My husband and I joined a group of ten and they were fantastic, but next time I would go with a group of people I knew because communicating with each other is so important. I feel it’s easier to do that with colleagues/friends…plus it’s a great bonding activity.
Beat the Lock is located on the second floor of a white nondescript office building, in the same building as Subway. There is plenty of street parking around.
For me, $ 30 for one hour of entertainment was steep but for the unique experience and how fun it was, it is worth it.
I could tell Renee put so much hard work and thought and care into this… and she’s so lovely on top of that. When she opens the next Escape Room I would definitely go!

Beat The Lock is a thrilling adventure! My girlfriend and I decided to do this for our 2-​Year Anniversary. It was a lot of fun. We were put with 5 other guests and we ended up making great friends with them. We worked well together and solved the clues in the nick of time. We had four-​minute to spare and got out.
Renee the Host was amazing — very friendly and excited to have your group share in this amazing experience. We had a lot of fun and talked about what we did and solving the clues at dinner afterwards. We will definitely be back again when they come up with a new room.
When you get to the location you will see sandwich shop downstairs — try to park around back there are plenty of parking spots. You go the middle of the building and take elevator up to second floor and follow the signs to Beat The Lock. There is no much signs directing you to their location.

For my first time– This was by far the best experience ever!
Renae was awesome! Made it very fun and inviting. I even got the chills when explaining the the rules. I was excited and nervous at the same time I didn’t know what to expect.
The room? Awesome props and clues. Well put together with a great storyline behind. We also had a great team of 11 with us who were funny and smart which made the experience that much better. Moral of the story– We escaped just in the nick of time!
Me and my gf can’t wait for the next room to be built so we can come back soon. Thanks for a fun experience!

This place was awesome! Amy was great as a host! My friends and I (10 of us) had a blast working our way through the puzzles and with a couple of nudges in the right direction, we made it out! I’d strongly recommend this place to everyone.

So much fun! Definitely recommend! We only had 4 people in our group, and we got soooo close! We will definitely be back when they have new rooms! Amy was awesome by the way!

This was our first Escape room experience and we had such an awesome time! There were many openings for our time slot and due to the last minute decision to go we only had 4 people total in our group vs 14 person max. It may have been a hindrance having such a small group but at the same time it was intimate and so much fun! Communication and teamwork is key to solve a series of puzzles within the limited 60 mins. We were able to escape, but unfortunately 10 seconds too late! It was challenging and much more elaborate than I expected. All of the puzzles were clever and very well thought out. The guide was helpful without revealing clues. It was the perfect amount. She was energetic and had a positive attitude which enhanced our game. I can’t imagine the other companies being any better than this. I can’t wait to try others to compare. I definitely want to come back when they set up the next room next month.

10 of us Tuesday night! Great time by all, the event had some great surprises, and the event manager Renae was really awesome to work with and very enthusiastic. We had some scheduling issues with our group (people who said they were going weren’t able to) right up until an hour before the event, and Beat The Lock was very accommodating and understanding. Everything ended up working out perfect!

Beat the lock is so awesome! I want to start by saying that the location could be difficult to find, from the parking lot, you have to walk thru to the other side of the building and then take an elevator up to the 2^nd floor, I didn’t know what to expect but Renee, the lady who runs the business is super nice! She gave super clear instructions and was so enthusiastic! It was a friend’s birthday and Renee added a surprise during the adventure, it was so sweet! We went with 9 people in our group and it was so much fun! We all had a blast! I was also worried that it was going to be kinda lame or boring but it was so interactive and kept us entertained! I would DEFINITELY come back here when they open up another room!

First off Renee is amazing! She’s super friendly and approachable which definitely set the night off to a good start. So we came here for my friend’s surprise birthday party and we all had a blast. The game is definitely challenging but that’s what made it fun! Lastly I love how Renee incorporated my friends birthday in our game! That was definitely the icing on the cake! If you are looking for a good team builder or just a fun night out with friends this is your go-​to place!

Renee was amazing and it was SO fun! If you have time take your family or friends to do this. We didn’t make it out sadly, but it was super fun and challenging in a good way !!

This was an awesome birthday surprise! I had no idea what we were going to do and my gf rallied everyone to come out and surprise me. We’ve been talking about wanting to do something like this for quiet a while so it was perfect. It was awesome how once Renee knew it was my birthday she incorporated that into our adventure. It added that special touch that made it that much more awesome. We can’t wait to come back and check out all the new rooms! Definitely recommend this!!! It was so fun and the set up is great. Thank you Renee for an awesome experience.

Super fun! This was my first escape room and I will be coming back for more by this team. The ladies that run the place were so nice and encouraging. Can’t wait to come back. :)

We had a BLAST at Beat The Lock! We had so much fun dealing with all the puzzles and eventually discovering our way out with less than 2 minutes to spare! I DEFINITELY recommend you do this, and bring your friends! What a fun time!

Visit the place at its grand opening and definitely will come back again! Great experience and so much fun in the locked room. Recommend for group of 6 and more and suitable for ages!

Decided to check it out with a group of friends on Star Wars premier night. It was 100 times better than the other escape the room games we’ve played. The puzzles were hard, the atmosphere and props were amazing, great support when we needed it. They asked for feedback and were super warm. These guys are just starting up and I can’t wait to see what they do next. Most room games feel super cookie cutter and similar, but not here, the puzzles where varied and fun. very creative minds obviously put a lot of work in to setting this room up and letting us solve their riddle of a game.
I’d recommend going with a group for maximum fun.

My hubby and I decided to check it out since we’ve never done it before. We were in the room with 10 others both teens & adults. Once you are locked in the room, you have 1 hour to find clues and figure out where the key was hidden. It will definitely challenge your brain but super fun trying to fit all the missing pieces together. Good for all ages (except for babies of course). Since we didn’t get out in time, I want to go back and try it again… Great for team building, Bday parties or fun mid-​week event. It’s located in down town Santa Clara in the University Plaza and we didn’t have any issue finding parking.

This is my first escape room and I was a little hesitant because I can get claustrophobic, but I am so glad that it didn’t keep me from trying it out! The room is very big and clean with windows, so I didn’t have any issues at all. The address on the building was a little hard to spot, but once we found the room it was great. There were some things I never would have imagined, which really made it a cool experience for me and my 12 year old daughter. Many of the puzzles were above her level, but there was plenty to do in the room that kept her interest! The puzzles and clues were challenging and definitely not run of the mill. We were entertained for the full hour. We loved the Spy theme too. I highly recommend for families and anyone looking for something different to do.
