History

Established in 2009.

Santa Barbara’s iconic Wine Cask is a locally-​owned, multi-​faceted culinary and wine landmark. It is food & wine central for aficionados; a full sensory experience from innovative cuisine balanced with the warmth of personal service to the historic setting of El Paseo.

Chefs shop at the farmer’s market every week and feature local seafood, produce and wines in support of Santa Barbara industry.

The ‘Gold Room,’ our main dining room, offers an up-​scale yet approachable lunch and dinner experience famous for its majestic oversized fireplace and its historic vaulted wood beam ceiling adorned with gold leaf while beautiful outdoor dining awaits in our Courtyard. We are delighted to provide the same exceptional cuisine and service for private and group dining that you would expect as a table for two.

Mitchell S.

Business Owner

A twenty-​five year restaurant veteran, Mitchell owns and operates Bouchon and is Managing Partner of Wine Cask and Intemezzo. His passion lies in providing an authentic, regional dining experience.

Mitchell graduated the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in International Relations, Political Science. and is very active in promoting tourism to the Santa Barbara region.
