History

Established in 1984.

The name Swedemasters came about in July 2000, after the current owner Tim Kitt took over the business, previously called Lipman Volvo.

TIm came into the business with 20 years of technical experience, trained initially in England and then southern California. The Saab line was added at that time and then later on BMW.

Swedemasters continues to offer excellent service with a friendly, courteous and respectful attitude, paying attention to the details.

Over the years Swedemasters have added to their already extensive list of services, now offering car washing and courtesy rides.

Tim K.

Business Owner

Tim is a family man, married to a wonderful and supportive wife, Linda. Together the proud parents of 5 children (1 girl and 4 boys). Tim Hails from the North of England in the county of Yorkshire. Served his apprenticeship in a family run auto repair shop in Driffield, East Yorkshire and trained through the City and Guilds of London institute.

After moving to the United Sates in 1990, Tim begun to specialize in the repair of Volvo and Saab cars and took over an existing Volvo business in Santa Barbara in July 2000 renaming it Swedemasters and adding Saab and then later BMW to the line up.
