History

Established in 1980.

Dr. Ruby obtained his dental degree from the University of Missouri — Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1980. He then enrolled in the pediatric dentistry postdoctoral program at the UCLA School of Dentistry and received his specialty certificate in 1982. He also served as a Clinical Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry, UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, studying mental retardation and developmental disabilities. He has been in private practice since 1982 and currently practices in Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez, California.

Dr. Rochon received her DDS from University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry in San Francisco. She then completed a General Practice Residency (hospital based dentistry) in New York City. Upon completion of this program, Dr. Rochon returned to Northern California and worked in private practice until she decided to pursue additional training in pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Rochon completed her training in the specialty of pediatric dentistry by undergoing a two year post-​graduate program at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry. During this training, Dr. Rochon worked with all ages of children from infant through adolescent. She was trained in limited orthodontics, children and adults with special needs, medically compromised patients as well as routine, healthy children. She spent time completing rotations in the hospital including pediatrics and pediatric emergency. Dr. Rochon also treated many patients under general anesthesia in the hospital operating room as well as performing the majority of restorative care to the children in the dental clinic without sedation.
