I’ve taken 2 items to Justin now and he is so timely and Down to earth! I took in my fiancé’s vest for his suit and Justin brought it in at the chest because it was too big and it looks like we just bought it! I also brought in a short wedding dress that was too big in the chest area and he did the alteration on the spot and was done with in 30 min because I needed it done quickly. He was more than accommodating, affordable and friendly! I will definitely be coming back for future items to be altered!

This is a story about how Justin saved the day and my sanity! He did a fabulous job on my wedding dress.
My story begins with 4 weeks before my wedding I took my dress to another alterations person who told me itd be done in almost 2 weeks. Since I needed a shortened hem and bustle.
She kept my dress until the day it was due to be done. I was so excited that day to have my dress back and done with 2 weeks before my wedding! Instead she gave me my dress back untouched and told me she was «too nervous» to work on. She said the material was «difficult.»
I frantically searched for someone else and in my frenzy found Justin…
He is so amazing! He made me feel reassured that he could get the job done and that the material was NOT difficult to work with! He was timely and my dress was perfect on the day of pick up!
I almost cried as I tried on my dress that fit perfectly for the first time.
I will forever be a customer with Justin. Hes a wonderful person to work with and really knows his stuff!
I can now get married in my beautiful dress! Thanks Justin!

Justin knows his stuff. Beautiful work by a beautiful person. Incredibly knowledgable and offered insightful recommendations. He really knew what my dress would look like finished upon our first meeting and he did a superb job articulating our shared vision for the dress.
I brought him my wedding dress to get taken out, the sleeves altered, train shortened, belt changed and beading removed. The final product is fabulous and he even added a little hook for my train (which I never thought of!). My wedding is that much more special because of his help and guidance. Thank you Justin!

I brought two dresses to Justin to be shortened. He didn’t «measure» the proper length… just «eyeballed» it. Consequently, both dresses were still too long when I went to pick them up… and had to be re-​hemmed. I also asked him to shorten the straps on the dress I was planning to wear for my son’s wedding. The day of the wedding was super-​hot and I decided not to use the jacket… only to discover that, in shortening the straps, Justin had sewn one back on the wrong way and it was completely twisted… so I had to wear the jacket to cover it. Also, my husband that the sleeves of his suit coat shortened and it was a Mickey Mouse job… leaving one of the buttonholes visible with no button and sewing the missing button on at the top of the other buttons with no buttonhole. It looked ridiculous. I would never take anything here for alterations again.

Justin is fantastic! My favorite dress had a shoulder strap that broke. I took it to Justin and he pointed out it mustve gotten stuck on something in the washer as the strap had actually been pulled so tightly that a piece of it went missing and it had thinned out significantly more then the other side. In a pure move of genius and talent, he was able to create an entirely new strap with material from the dress! He’s very reasonable in price and accomplished this is a very timely manner. Highly reccomend!

Justin is seriously amazing at what he does. I brought him yoga pants I loved, and not only did he fix the complex problem, he made them about 10x better than they were originally. It’s the best value alteration I have gotten and I will personally not use anyone else in the Santa Barbara area ever again. He’s knowledgeable, quick, and seriously an amazing value.

I had a last minute bridesmaid dress that needed some hemming and alteration work done. I forgot to pick the dress up until that day of the wedding, and called him in the morning. Even though he was not supposed to be at the shop until late that day, He came in early just to give me my dress. Great work and very considerate.

I have been going to JRA designs for the past two years. Justin, the owner, goes above and beyond customer service. He stands behind all the work done and immediately fixes any problems; fully warranty’s his work. As a petite woman, I often need to have clothes altered in a variety of ways. He is very knowledgeable and aware of style and what really looks good on me. I trust him implicitly with my clothes. He is efficient, timely, fair with his prices and takes pride in his work.
Never wavering in his patience, Justin consistently puts me at ease with his positive, calm, supportive demeanor, spending the time needed to get the job done correctly. He is always responsive to my requests and offers thorough answers to my questions. I had met Justin of JRA designs years ago when he did the alterations for a store that I was working for at the time. He altered a number of pairs of jeans for me, and also made structural adjustments to two dresses that made them WAY more comfortable as well as more comfortably-​fitting (think boning in strapless dresses). Recently, I found that my wedding reception dress had a major zipper issue, and Justin not only explained exactly what the problem was, but he also fixed it within ONE DAY. I was so pleased with his help and more importantly with the extremely prompt response. Thanks, JRA Designs!

Justin is outstanding. I had a dress for a wedding that was cut too low in the front and he did a beautiful job of modifying the design of the garment to adjust it. He didn’t do some cheesy patch job, he made the dress actually prettier! He took a pair of my pants and showed me why they weren’t working on me, and took them apart and fixed them so they look cute. His prices were more than reasonable, the service was great, he’s insanely talented and I would definitely recommend him for any design work.

Justin is amazing! I had a time crunch to get my bridesmaid’s dress altered. I called Justin and he was able to get it done in a short period of time and I didn’t have to stress about getting it done in time. He was incredibly flexible with picking up the dress since I needed to get it on Labor Day. He came and met me so I could have the dress in time. He worked with me to make sure the dress was comfortable and I felt good in it. He was easy and wonderful to work with. When I need anything altered or designed Justin is where I am headed!

First of all Justin did my wedding dress alterations back in 2009. After the preliminary alterations, I took the dress back because I wanted to change the structure a bit. I took my ideas and he ran with it, making it incredibly beautiful! I couldn’t believe what he had done.
Just last week I took a bridesmaids dress into him that didn’t fit quite right. He identified the problem and was quick to make the corrections. Its awesome now, I am so excited to wear it.
He has reasonable prices and is very reliable. I would recommend him to anyone!

While I did not use there services, they were extremely helpful in there referals to get Emergency, Day before wedding gown alterations /​corrections. Their character, honesty and integrity was unwavering. Thank you for your help and saving my wedding day. :)
