Josie provides superb personal chef services to our ranch in Santa Ynez, CA. We have hired many personal Chef’s over the years and Josie is by far the best. She has done countless parties and events for us. Her attention to detail exceptional, preparing delicious amazing and healthy food. She loves to try new things, so we often trade recipes and ideas. Ask her for her amazing shrimp salad rolls with zesty orange dipping sauce or her fresh made Lemon Gelato! I would also add she is a graceful, warm and beautiful person! I would hire her full time, hands down if I lived in CA full time.

Josie was superb. Professional. Delightful to have around. Caring. Attention to detail. Right on budget. Very happy and able to to adapt to changing circumstances at the last minute. Chef Josie was booked for a bachelorette weekend’s «girls night in» evening and she was fantastic! She was warm, friendly, and super attentive to our needs. She was very personable and made the night absolutely wonderful. When we came back to our AirB&B from our day out, she had laid out flowers and lit candles, and started the night off with cheese and crackers, cheese filled dates, and dried fruits and nuts. She kept an eye on our champagne and wine glasses and they were never empty. She set the table with silverware, nice napkins, place settings, etc. She made green salad with pomegranate seeds, chicken picatta, scalloped tomatoes, basil pasta, dill green beans, and crème brûlée. The ingredients were organic and fresh. Lots of leftovers! We had one dairy-​free bridesmaid that Chef Josie made sure had plenty of food that she could eat. After all the cooking, she cleaned the kitchen and put away the utensils. Highly recommend her and her services!

I’ve been working with (and recommending) Josie Hoffman for a very long time & pleased to see she has a Unilocal page to shout out loud: HIRE THIS CHEF!!! Josie prepares the most fabulous food. She can do it all: gluten-​free, vegan, Santa Maria BBQ, Balinese, Italian, Moroccan, Raw … oh my goodness try her soups! Try her ice cream! Try everything!!! Her menus are thoughtful, well complimented and easy to share with friends (with a variety of food preferences). The thing I love most about Josie however is how high-​end professional she is for being such a sweet and grounded person. You couldn’t ask for more.

Josie is the best personal chef you could imagine. She is so graceful and confident — a sheer joy to have in the kitchen. Plus importantly, her food is AMAZING! We’ve been working with Josie for more than a year and she never fails to impress in both simple healthy preparations at home and for elegant, lavish dinner parties. Flavor and presentation are done with the kind of skilled perfection that only comes from someone who loves what she does and has the experience to back it up. You will be so glad you chose her!!!
