The 154 highway on a Friday afternoon, also known as the busiest time to be in need of a tow. I was driving my ’89 BMW (aka my child) up along Lake Cachuma pass when a coolant hose burst. I called AAA, and received and said a tow was on the way. A little later than expected (but again, Friday afternoon on a crazy highway), but Peter from Holzer Towing arrived. He looked at my car and asked if it was original paint (first of many good signs), and began hooking her up to the truck with just a ton of care and attention. Once driving, he was very cautious, and would look in his mirrors every time we went over a bump. Once at the mechanic, he helped push the car into an enclosed area so she would be safe and out of the way.
He did not know me nor the amount of attention I give my car and somehow met/​exceeded this care. Genuinely excellent person and service.

I knew I should have posted this the day we called AAA for help. I believe the young man from Bob’s towing was Sergio. So sorry if I screwed that up! He should get a raise!!! He was amazing! Our jaguar got stuck in reverse under our condo complex. The driveway is narrow for cars… the curb is black to prove it! I do not know how he did it but he managed to back his truck down it, maneuver under the building, hook up our car to his truck, and then proceeded to get both vehicles out. It was truly amazing to watch!!! I really appreciated his professionalism and ingenuity in finding a solution to my HUGE problem. Call these guys… so helpful!

My dad’s car was dead in the driveway so Jesse from Holzer showed up. He could have given up after about 10 minutes, but he kept working on our car and finally got it running. He then called Mastercraft Motors and got me an appointment right then to have the battery re-​charged. Really outstanding guy and outstanding company! Thank you!

On a 15 day road trip from Phx to Napa via PCH1. Day 3 Santa Barbara. Wake up all excited to get brekky at The Boathouse and then continue on up to San Luis Obispo. Could’nt believe it … dead battery!!! Had the car 2 years … never a problem! Today … nothing!
Called AAA, they said they would send someone out to me. 15 minutes later … 15!!! are you kidding me? What took you soooo long! haha Lupe from B H Towing arrived and made my life all better again!!! Seems I had left my «hazards» on all nite! DUH. He was friendly, smiley, quick and honest. Coulda tried selling me a new battery, but instead tested mine and informed me it would last for a long time yet. Here’s to you Lupe and your excellent service!

We just had a 30′ motorhome towed from a very remote campground and towed over 50 miles to Ventura for repairs. Luckily AAA footed the bill, but we could not have been happier with Bob Holzer towing. I called AAA after my car wouldn’t start. Edward showed up very quickly. He was extremely competent with his diagnostic tools and, when he found that the battery was dead, quickly replaced my battery. He was extremely courteous and professional in his interactions. I couldn’t have asked for an easier service.

Two weeks ago Monday, we were on our first day of vacation and about 10 miles outside of Santa Barbara on the 101N. We were rear-​ended by a mini van in heavy traffic. We were picked up by Octavio from Bob Holzer Towing. He not only got our car on his flat-​bed tow truck, but found the metal bracket from the bumper that had caused a flat in a 2 day old tire. He then advised us to continue to Santa Barbara rather than try to go back to the dealer in Camarillo (good advice). He found a tire place in Santa Barbara that could get a replacement tire the next morning. He helped us find a motel that we could walk to from the tire store. He recommended a body shop that could look at the car once the tire was replaced so that we could determine whether we could continue or return home. Amazing service! I’d make it 6 stars if I could.
