This place is horrible. I went in and got acrylic done on my nails. The day after, one of my nails had already broke. Know that I wasn’t being rough with them. You would think they wouldn’t charge to get them fixed because it was with them the day prior but they charged me five dollars, not only that but their customer service sucks… a lot. Save your money.

Botched my eyebrows! I told the woman waxing me to leave the thickness as is and just give me a bit of an arch. She applied the thickest wax I’ve ever experienced, from the bottom of my brow all the way down to my eyelid. It hurt like hell AND my eyebrows are way too thin.
The nail artist working on my elderly mother’s nails was incredibly rough with her and also took an hour for a simple gel manicure.
As if they weren’t overpriced enough, they charged extra to remove old polish!
WORST salon experience I’ve ever had.

I’m giving one star because it won’t let me give less.

Please save your money .
Unless you want uneven, cut up, and full of acrylic finger nails. They are the worst in Santa Barbara … End result I got my nails chopped off and walked away .!
They tried locking me in the salon. Absolutely the worst

I got a gel manicure yesterday and it looks good like the wall shows $ 35 and the Friend I went with is a regular and said the same price. She charged me $ 42 then I was expected to tip on top and felt guilty so $ 50 for a gel manicure is what you should expect

Came in for a manicure, and had terrible service. A few minutes after I was seated and started, another girl walked in for a manicure as well. All the other nail artists were busy so my manicurist started working on both of us at the same time. She was rushing through my nails and did not do a thorough job. She filed my nails unevenly, and when I asked her to even them out she handed the nail file to me and told me to do it myself. I responded that if I knew how to file my nails evenly myself I wouldn’t of come, and she huffed and said they were filed fine. My manicure was all less than ten minutes with her rushing so she could start on the next girl. I am very unsatisfied with my nails, there are many other great nail places in town which I wish I went to instead of this place.

HORRIBLE! JUST AWFUL!!! WORST FILL I HAVE EVER HAD!!! do not go here. not only are they over priced, $ 26 for a fill before tip (charged me $ 5 to cut them??? WHAT!) they look HORRIBLE!!! they are grainy and jagged and uneven. I am so disappointed with this salon. I will NEVER go back.

Worst manicure /​pedicure ever
I was in area so thought I’d try it– should have read Unilocal reviews
Pedicure woman must have been new– cut my nails crooked– some short — some long– had her correct some but eventually gave up
Massage worthless– manicure woman cut my nails so short that it looks like they have been bit– and she nicked my cuticle
And to top it off I was charged $ 60– never again!

Worst nail salon experience ever. The guy said «what is wrong with you» to a customer who accidentally chipped her nail. When I was explaining how I wanted my nails filed he told me to do it myself. Really bad job. Everyone was rude and does the job too quickly. You would think after having such bad reviews they would learn.

I love that they have separate clean packages for all their tools… sterilized every time!
Also, the pedi bowls are protected with a plastic liner, so each time I can rest assured of a safe visit!

Great prices and great service. I’ve never had a more thorough pedicure. Gel polish manicure by tracy was gorgeously done and has not even chipped after two weeks. Very impressed.

Horrible experience. I will never go back. I only went because I had a gift certificate but now I know where NOT to go to get my nails done.
I’m sorry but I could’ve done a better job on my nails. The lady who gave me a manicure was rude and I feel like it was her first time. She bumped one of my nails (by accident of course) and pretended I didn’t notice. I had to tell her to fix her mistake. She also didn’t put on a Top Coat and then got mad at me when I told the receptionist that she forgot.
Spare yourself (and your money) by NOT going here. Very unprofessional and not friendly.

Ok… And convenient. I think they need an update but the gal who did my toes was super nice and gave a great massage.
It’s so nice that they are located in the mall too.

I feel really bad writing a bad review, but there was just nothing good about my experience.
I called ahead and got there, was not greeted for 5 mins. Then was told to sit down and wait. Since I have nothing to do, I look around and the place is reallyyy dirty. Then 10 mins later I finally get a seat for my pedicure (there were many open ones, just no one wanted to fill the water). The seat was broken. The rollers didn’t move up. I asked to switch and the lady told me it was broken and they all must be. Finally I get her to let me switch. The next chair is in fact not broken, but they are all so old you can’t even feel the massage. My manicurist cut my finger and did not apologize as she is dealing with blood coming out of my finger.
My nails don’t look good, and no part of the experience made me feel relaxed.
I do not recommend this place at all.

Don’t go here if you want your gel nails to look good. They charged $ 35 just to shorten my nails and paint them. The work is super sloppy, and the edges are rough and uneven. I hope this place goes out of business.

This was an unpleasant experience. The chairs were falling apart and not good anyway. The staff was not friendly and gave minimal effort in the pedicure I received. The only good thing about this place is the location.

I have been going to this nail salon for the past 6 years since the location is so convenient to where I work. The service is usually great! I’m quite surprised at the reviews given with only 2 stars or less because I find that it’s super fast and efficient here. I always get my acrylic nails done by the manager of this nail salon and they last a fair amount of time, beautifully done and elegant for every occasion.
Also, I found one review that discredited the quality of the nail salon because the employees speak «Mandarin» and it made them uncomfortable. I find nothing wrong with VIETNAMESE people speaking in their native language to make work more productive, and this being a problem for that particular customer projects a bit of racism and intolerance.
Great place overall, planning on coming back again soon!

Loved my pedicure! The place is nice and clean. The staff were friendly and I was able to just walk in. They charge $ 1 for credit card payments.

When I first walked in, it seemed an ok place but by the time I realized it was a mistake to get mani and pedi done here, it was too late.
I got shellac done and they applied 10 – 12 coats of paint and gel. It started peeling off in 3 – 4 days. My nails look all rough after the nail paint has peeled off.
Also, the people working there were talking to each other in Mandarin. I felt really awkward there.
They used some neon green colored massage lotion or something. Ewww. I am never going back!

They are dirty, have very bad service, they are very distracted. They stop during your mani + pedi to help someone else for 15 min at a time. Took almost 2 hrs for me and a friend to get a mani pedi, and not because they were being attentive. Would not recommend, will not go back. Tina’s Nails is awesome.

They are quick, but lack in quality. They didn’t cut off off my cuticles which I think is one of the most important reasons why ppl go to nail salons for a manicure. I got acrylics and they were $ 35 without tip whereas it is normally $ 25 back in LA. Overall it’s not a bad place to go, but you need to remind them to do some stuff.
Also, make sure you get cash from the ATM before going! Because they charge an extra $ 5 if you use card.
