The Hacienda

I was married here on 1÷16÷16. The whole place was a beautiful fairytale. Cristin and Aruturo were my coordinators. And everything went swimmingly. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. My husband and I love this place and will find others reasons to have more parties and events here in the future.

I came here for a work holiday party and the place is OK. They have a fairly sprawling site, so there are a lot of options for how you want to set up your event. Do take care with the changes in elevation of the ground, there are a number of short steps that take you from one area to another.
The cocktails were OK, not the heaviest of pours, but decent. Our food was very standard banquet Mexican fare, but it was not bad, just uninspired, perhaps due to the overall budget limitations. If invited to another event here, I would go (though parking is a bit of a pain).

I was married at the Hacienda in a Saturday afternoon ceremony. My husband and I couldn’t be more pleased with the event. The location was lovely, and the food is very good. Guests said the wedding carrot cake was the best they’ve ever enjoyed. Leading up to the big day, Loralee and several other event coordinators were helpful, patient, and efficient. I recommend the Hacienda to anyone wanting a beautiful, hassle-​free event.

Never get tired of brunch at the Hacienda, especially around the holidays because of the lovely decorations~ The staff is awesome, the food is tasty and the mimosa’s are endless. Perfect place for bringing your friends and family, large rooms for big groups and the price is so reasonable.

I was a guest for a wedding, at the Hacienda, this past Saturday.
There was plenty of parking, and the exterior looked like this hidden compound.
Upon entering the gates, the beauty, romance, decorations, lighting, and more, welcome you with open arms.
We entered through the back (or side), where the ceremony was to take place. The chairs were covered with the soft drapery, you find at an elegant wedding. The area had a raised stage area, for the officiant, bride and groom. There was so much to look at and take in, whether on the wall, free-​standing around the area, or even part of the structure.
After the brief nuptials, we were moved into another room for cocktails and hor d’oeuvres. The bride and groom opted for complimentary beer and wine. I tipped the bartender, who was friendly and informative on their selections. The snacks were simple, yet room temperature and brought out quickly and often, by the staff. Guests mingled at the low and high tables provided, and before long, it was time to be seated.
The table decorations were beautiful and the food buffet was delicious, with many entress to choose from. Again, the staff worked well and it all ran smoothly.
I would most definitely recommend this venue to anyone considering marriage or vow renewal, and I honestly hope to have brunch here soon. Keep up the great work, Hacienda!

My husband and I were married at The Hacienda on July 12, 2015 (and we also took our engagement photos here as well). They were absolutely wonderful to work with and I could not have had a more perfect wedding. We loved…
1. The Ambiance: When you drive up to the venue, don’t let the outside surroundings make your decision because as soon as you walk inside, you’ll feel like you are in another world. It was an actual, working Hacienda but has since been converted into an event space keeping many of its historic architecture with lovely foliage. You’re not really allowed to bring in much outside décor but you will not need it. This was the first venue I visited and I loved it and after visiting some other venues, I knew I had to have my wedding here.
2. The Pricing: As we were visiting different venues, budget was one of our main concerns. The Hacienda has different packages depending on the day/​time and is inclusive of A LOT of items. We chose the Sunday brunch package which including the buffet for all guests, unlimited champagne, table linens plus centerpieces, ceremony pianist, wedding cake and wedding coordinators. Honestly, the only outside vendors I needed were a florist for bouquets/​boutonnieres and a DJ (as my photography/​video were taken care of). I cannot tell you how helpful that was to me and how much stress that saved me.
3. The Food: We loved the buffet… all of our guests commented on how the food was great and came out fresh. We also loved the option of getting omelettes and desserts as well. The unlimited champagne was also much appreciated by our guests as well. Our wedding cake was very good! At first we were going to have carrot cake (which my husband & I loved) but then opted for white cake with the choice of different flavored frosting for each layer. I thought it tasted yummy and looked beautiful as well.
4. The Coordinators: Wedding planning was so easy with The Hacienda! They are incredibly easy to work with and answered my many questions with assurance that my wedding day would go well. When you contact them, they respond promptly. There’s a team of coordinators but LeeAnn was my main coordinator — she was the best! They are definitely on top of everything and on the day of your wedding, you have two coordinators working with you. Everything ran smoothly and I never worried about a single thing on my wedding day. All of the items I brought in at our rehearsal were set out exactly as I asked them to be and all of the tables were decorated exactly as I imagined.
For anyone searching for an affordable venue with great food, service & ambiance in Orange County, the Hacienda is perfect.

What an amazing expierence!!!
My future bride, myself and her parents went to the location to just check it out. We went with no appointment and just to walk around and see what it was like. We were greeted by Natalie, an event host who was super friendly and helpful. She quickly offered us an impromptu tour of the grounds. She walked around, showed us all the different important places and was just amazing. Natalie fielded our questions, offered solutions, and was genuine and personable!
After showing us around she offered for us to taste the food that would be similar to what we woud be enjoying at the wedding, found us a table and ensured that we got quick service. We got to taste the amazing cake that they offer and had an excellent brunch!
We honestly walked up to the location not expecting much, but not only was the location beautiful but Natalie made the time so great and was so inviting we walked away knowing that this was the location to beat. Thank you Natalie for everything!

I had this place bookmarked for the longest time and never had a chance to try it.
Had my son’s baptism brunch there this past Sunday. Wonderful service and staff! We booked it last minute and even though we were a big party they had the living room reserved for us with no deposit and they accepted our booking 4 days before the event! Thank you Hacienda I knew I picked the right place.
Convinced our best friends to have their wedding there! I wish we had our wedding there! Clean place, so pretty, may options. Oh yea and the food was great

Just celebrated my daughters morning wedding and reception here. Lee Anne led a team that did a wonderful, smooth job for 140 guests. The food was great. The atmosphere and décor wonderful. If you don’t want to think, do your big event here. They know what they are doing. You cannot find a nicer more professional crew than this.

My husband and I got married here earlier this summer, and I knew it was going to be where we would get married from our very first visit.
There are a couple of things about the wedding planning process we think could have been improved, however, so I’ll start with that:
— The planning paperwork
We appreciated how much information The Hacienda had to give us during the wedding planning process. However, we would have preferred to have gotten all the appropriate paperwork at the same time. For instance, late in the planning process, we were brainstorming what songs we would have liked their pianist to play during our ceremony. It was only then that we got a list from the Hacienda in the mail, which contained their pianist’s song list, as well as other questions regarding the ceremony. It turns out that choosing a song outside of the pianists song list would have cost extra, so we instead chose from the song list, which thankfully had some great selections. It would have been better to have been made aware of that during our first detail appointment, that way we wouldn’t have wasted time choosing songs that would have cost extra money to play.
There were also a few things in their paperwork that were a little confusing. For instance, if 5 or more children attended the wedding, we would have had to hire a professional nanny, but it wasn’t clear how children were defined in the paperwork. It was only through later emails with the Hacienda that we found out that children 7 and under counted as «children» while 8 and up were «regular guests». None of our guests decided to bring their kids, so it was nice that at least we didn’t have to worry about that in the end.
— Indemnification clause
When you come to this clause in the Hacienda’s wedding contract, read it carefully, and be thorough when asking about it. If anything goes wrong during the wedding, regardless of who caused it, the couple will be held responsible for any and all expenses, not the venue. The couple carries all the legal risk, and the Hacienda pretty much carries zero — you are responsible for everything plus the kitchen sink. Thankfully, in our case, the staff was awesome and the ceremony/​reception went smoothly, so it wasn’t something we ultimately had to worry about for our wedding. However, this is not a 100% guarantee for all future couples who get married here.
Now, onto what we loved:
— Highly-​inclusive package
We loved The Hacienda’s package options — when we finally chose this venue, not only did we get the venue, but also the catering, cake, linens/​flatware, ceremony pianist, AND day-​of-​coordinators as well!
— Open House night
If you’re planning to get married, and the Hacienda happens to be having an Open House night, ATTEND! This is a big part of what made us decide to choose them. They set up their venue the same way they normally would during a wedding, and you get a chance to meet with the staff and learn more. Plus, a lot of their preferred vendors come to set up booths. Along with what’s already included in their package, you could also potentially meet your DJ, hotel, jeweler, photographer, and more, all on the same night!
— The venue
Absolutely beautiful, Spanish-​mission style location. It’s rather unassuming from the outside, but once you’re inside, it’s gorgeous. Plenty of diverse and wonderful opportunities for photos. For our 90 guest wedding, we had the ceremony/​reception in the Taos Room/​Courtyard, and it was perfect — not too small, but intimate enough to keep it from being completely overwhelming.
— The staff
Whenever we sent an email with questions during the planning process, we could always rely on the staff to get back to us promptly. Both of our detail meetings went extremely well too. We are so grateful for Lorelei, Christin, Art, and the rest of the staff’s friendliness and professionalism that made our wedding memorable in the best way possible. Their ability to improvise whenever something could potentially go wrong was very much appreciated too. For instance, on the day of the wedding, we found out our cake topper wasn’t stable enough to stay upright on our cake, but the staff found a way to hold it up using a few straws and flowers, which didn’t diminish the beauty of the cake at all. Christin was also a breeze to work with during rehearsal, and completely unflappable as we went back and forth deciding how the exact order of events would play out.
Considering how long The Hacienda has been around, it figures that they would have a ton of experience, and therefore be pretty easy to work with. They seem to have a great business model, plus their packages & pricing is fair & flexible — I love that we were able to stay within our budget! Highly recommended for any couples planning to tie the knot!

This place is magical! We got married here on 7÷11÷2015. Not only is the venue beautiful and unique but also the service was amazing. Everyone that works here is so polite and helpful. Art was our coordinator and he made sure everything was taken care of. We never had to worry about a thing. THE FOOD!!! was the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. All of our guests can’t stop talking about what a great experience they had.

I hosted a bridal shower here and attended my brothers wedding. Simply, love this place. I would suggest working out your expectations prior otherwise, they do not like last minute changes. Great venue and will say, «can’t wait to go back».

We just got married on 6÷20÷15 and reserved the beautiful Hacienda over 1 year ago. This beautiful location is tucked away in Santa Ana and had it not been for Unilocal and The Knot we would have never known about this gem. The location in itself is just breath taking. My husband and I knew immediately this was going to be our venue for our wedding. Now pair this gorgeous venue with a fantastic staff and you have your dream wedding team. They never hesitate to help us with anything. They even measured for me!!! :)
We had the typical Asian style dinner with the lazy susan so we had to do a pretty unique layout for the dinning area. This was new to them, so naturally as a bride with 160 guest, it made me very nervous thinking about space. However, working with Claudia and Art put me at ease and in the end it worked out beautifully. Everything was simply perfect. We can’t thank the Hacienda team enough. They truly made it a memorable experiance for us. Everyone continues to compliment how beautiful everything was!
Oh! And their everyday dinning is amazing as well! If you aren’t renting the venue, just come and enjoy their dinner! It’s so yummy! We will definitely come back for dinner and for carrot cake! You have got to try their famous carrot cake! Yum!

My girlfriend’s Optometry school had their end of the year banquet here. Let me first start off by saying that when we get married and if it was on the West Coast, this venue would be at the TOP of our list!
When you first walk in, you are immediately transported to a lush and beautiful garden which was decorated with trees and plants. It really felt like a secret garden that you shouldn’t be at but you were. The whole event space was accented by subtle lights, wood floors and just some amazing greenery. There is even a fountain towards the back with an open roof that lets in some sunlight which was beautiful. There is also a small gazebo that was also perfectly decorated for some great pictures.
This place also incorporates the look and feel of a Santa Fe Style ranch. There is a small dance floor that could easily accommodate about 50 – 75 people and it is located right next to the dining hall. The service was neither good nor bad. At first, it was hard to find someone who actually had some appetizers left on their plate to serve us but the service during dinner was excellent and we served by table to lessen the congestion. For dinner, we had baked chicken, pasta, mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy which were all just okay; there weren’t enough seasonings on any of the dishes for me. There was also some freshly carved prime rib as well which was good, but nothing out of ordinary. For dessert, we had some sort of chocolate mousse which was actually quite tasty and not overly sweet.
My gf paid for my guest ticket which was $ 25 which I thought could have been way more expensive. The parking lot is very small, but I think for the size of the venue it accommodates most guests. The event space was clean and very well maintained. I saw the coordinator trying to coordinate all the activities and make sure that everything was completed on time. This place is definitely one of the most beautiful venues I have ever been to.

Thursday evening dinners are quiet and delicious… if you are looking for a new spot, give them a try.
We are a gay couple in our 40’s, just married at the Hacienda beginning of April. Finding a place that reflected our personal taste and somewhere that would not make us feel that we were having a quote «gay wedding» when really what we wanted was a «wedding» was so important. Some annoying stories aside from 9 months of venue shopping aside, this place immediately made us both twinkle when we walked in. From the first, to the VERY last employee, we were treated with extreme kindness, warmth and respect. Needing to ditch the traditional bridal traditions was zero sweat for these professionals.
Somewhat clueless about weddings and needing to do most of the coordination with the venue and vendors myself, I very often asked the staff for their opinion and to generate ideas. I was so sure they would do an eye roll, «this guy again?», but trust me they are there for you at each and every phone call. They all know it’s stressful and that details are important, so they help you get them figured out AND written down. If I didn’t have their one page sheet with all the reception information I might have gone coo coo! This lets you concentrate on all the other crazy stuff.
While every event person was easy to work with, our two event coordinators Art and Christin, were both accessible and calm from start to finish, what professionals! I saw several items throughout the reception that I needed a 3^rd hand on and they either had it covered already or knew exactly what to do and I took it off my shoulders. What a relief… you are getting more than a wedding hall here, the staff made this for us. At times, I would see one of them standing quietly nearby patiently… they were just waiting to keep our timeline moving and everyone happy, more than I could have expected. Exact same service at our rehearsal, I’ll add.
The venue itself is cute, just look at the pics… at night it takes on a different homey charm. Our guests loved it… it’s so unassuming from the outside and they will let you set it up however you want, there are endless configurations to make your event amazing and unique. Food was delicious, try their carrot cake, so yummy.
There were no surprises in the contract that I can think of, and I feel the value was excellent. We put together an all star team for this event, and the Hacienda was def part of that.

When I first stepped inside the hacienda I was transported to a mini oasis, I knew the minute I saw it I had to get married there, and this past Sunday I did! The hacienda was so helpful in all aspects of planning, any time I had a question they were there to help!
I decided to have my rehearsal dinner here as well and it was equally as good!
My wedding was everything I could have asked for, a beautiful event, and the coordinator Christin was so helpful! Keeping us on time for everything.
All me and my new husband keep hearing from our guests is how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the food was! Overall I can really say that the hacienda helped make my dream wedding! I could not have asked for a nicer wedding, I am beyond happy!!!

While I came here for a wedding, I’d like to recommend this place in general to anyone wanting a classy yet relaxed (think tropical island) venue to have a sunday brunch. By the way, this is one of the only days (the other is thursday) that the venue is open to the public. The sunday brunch involves an omelet station, rice and beans, roast beef, potatoes, enchiladas, tacos, churros rellenos, and fresh fruit. I really enjoyed the carnitas here as well as the potatoes (scalloped with a rancheros type sauce.)
As a wedding venue it seems nice, I can only speak as a guest. It looks like there are permanent staff to help with each event and that is good because they will be experienced with the quirks of the location and help to move your event along smoothly. Seems good to me.

So… My daughter is having her wedding /​ceremony /​reception here in July. We had been a couple times prior, first to check the venue /​facilities, then to try the cake, iron out wedding details. But this visit was simply to try the FOOD itself, not all of which, will be featured at our event.
For those that have never been, the setting itself is pretty unique and has a ton of character and old school charm. I suppose that is why my daughter, (as well as the rest of us), fell in love with this place during our first visit. Lots of foliage /​greenery in an outdoor, (albeit covered), setting. The name Hacienda really says it all…
Arrived about 12:30 for the Sunday brunch and the place was packed. Greeter told us the wait would be about 30 minutes. We really wanted to try and since it’s 30+ miles from the house, we weren’t about to turn back. Reality of it was, we had less than a 10 min wait to be seated.
Our server greeted us immediately and asked what we wanted for beverages (Mimosa’s for the ladies, Margarita’s for the boys).
The food options here were pretty decent. Multiple stations available to whet your whistle… Anything from traditional breakfast, (i.e., omelets, eggs), to roast beef with much, much more in between.
I decided to skip the breakfast fare and started at the «taco station». Good action was found there. Wanted to make me some nachos as well but the possibilities elsewhere were plentiful and I wanted to explore my culinary options… My senses were on information overload!!!
Inside was sesame chicken, tamales, enchiladas, beans, rice, (all of which I sampled), and then there was the roast beef with an au jus, that was inundated with mushrooms and out of this world!!! And… They serve these «scalloped» type potatoes that are cooked in a thick, creamy «gravy» type sauce that are stupid effin’ tasty. Being a Irish /​German boy, I couldn’t help myself and had to go back for seconds. Un-​Freakin’ real…
Since I basically decided to pig out, I skipped the salad /​fruit bar, (my bad), ordered another of those absurdly delicious Margarita’s and meandered over to the dessert station. Tried the cheesecake, (awesome), carrot cake (also awesome) and some type of bread pudding dessert that put me over the top… But it was so, so worth it.
$ 24.95 /​person and in my opinion, worth every penny. Needless to say, peeps were having a fantastic time and getting toasted up in there with all the bottomless Champagne /​Mimosa’s flyin’ by!!! Do yourself a favor… Enjoy the food, enjoy the ultra casual ambiance, enjoy the bottomless Champagne /​Mimosa’s and most of all… Be sure to have a D.D.

We had our wedding (ceremony & reception) here on ½/​15. If I could give a million stars, I would! We could not have asked for better when it comes to the coordinators and venue. We planned our wedding in 6 months and they made every step very easy and informative.
The Hacienda has an all inclusive price for weddings. This was SO convenient. The price per person included: dinner, hors d’œuvre (appetizers during cocktail hour), free beer/​wine/​champagne for all guests, cash bar (hard liquor), tables, chairs, table cloths, napkins, center pieces, delicious carrot wedding cake/​cake knives, and a piano/​pianist for the ceremony.
We dropped off our personal wedding details during our rehearsal. They had EVERYTHING set up by the time we got there for our ceremony. They even provided stands for our pictures and seating charts. Everything was set up SO beautifully. I was in awe when I walked into the venue on our wedding day. This venue is nice because you don’t need that many of your own decorations to make it pretty. It’s gorgeous by itself with all its decorations, plants, and twinkle lights.
Throughout the entire night, our coordinators were so helpful and always there to make sure everything was okay and that we had everything we needed. You could tell they really cared and wanted our night to be memorable and special. They catered to us as a couple and to all 110 of our guests. I was nervous about having an indoor/​outdoor wedding in January because of the cold temperature. Some guests ate in the tented area and they weren’t cold at all because there were several heaters throughout the area.
I don’t have the words to express how thankful I am to The Hacienda for making our wedding the most PERFECT wedding night we could ever imagine. It was so SMOOTH and memorable. They have their stuff together when it comes weddings! THANK YOU, Hacienda! We will continue to come back here to support this wonderful venue and phenomenal staff.

This place is is trying to focus on banquets, and is open to the public only on Thursdays. Its a great place to celebrate, we came here for an office bridal shower. The restaurant placed our party in the courtyard with umbrellas to shade us from the blazing heat. Even in the shade, it was very warm.
We had a dedicated person providing us drinks and to clear our plates. Since we were mixed in with other patrons, we decided to get there early at 11:30 am so we could «beat the crowd» at the buffet line.
Either I was extremely hungry, or, the menu was tasty, moreso than normal.
— Carnitas, cut in cubes. Very tender although some pieces were fatty
— Cheese enchiladas, gooey and cheesy.
— Pasta in a garlic /​olive oil mix (I passed on that)
— Sauteed green beans, fresh and crispy
— Pinto Beans
— Mexican Rice
— Gazpacho soup
— Colorful tortilla chips with salsa
— Garden salad
— Fresh fruit
— Carrot cake
The menu was the same for everyone, not just for our party. Since the line moved rather slow, I didn’t go back for seconds. The initial plate was plenty, though.
Overall the food isn’t orgasmic, but its in a nice setting, and for an office party, its tasty and serves the purpose of feeding a lot of people. Limited parking in the main lot, and its very tight. Go around the building and there’s more parking, but requires a little extra walking.
