Great friendly service. Good healthy food. What more do you need? Glad this location is close by.

Worst experience of my life with flame broiler! Always buy lunch in the specific location in Santa Ana on first st and for some odd reason today the chicken was so slimy it literally released like some juice that taste so nasty I am sure it was blood or something and I spit it out. It made me feel like puking right away, my co worker finished it all and right away had to run to the restroom. I call and tell them what happen they make me go take the receipt and bowl. The manager an old Asian lady takes the bowl to the back(out of sight) like why would u do that I don’t know if u switch the chicken!!! Then comes out with it and says u see well done. And I was like I don’t know if it was only the piece of my mouth or what exactly what it was but I am sick from it. She telling me she will make me a new one, me so angry I say NO I don’t want to eat any other one this made me sick! I want my money back, then a cop comes in and stands in Line to order and she starts getting nerves and says I’ll give u $ 6 and I said can I see the receipt and she right away looking for it says I tossed it, and me not having any time out of my lunch I just walk out with the $ 6 a stomach ache and my poor co worker a stomach ache… Seriously never eating there again so disgusted and mad! If I can give no stars at all I would totally do it

Have you ever been at work, and the time just flies by so fast that you look at the clock and realize that it’s 3pm and you need to eat! That’s me. Sad huh? It’s only a 5 minute walk from where I used to work, and back then, this place was my 1st choice for lunch. I always ordered the chicken bowl with white rice. Occasionally, a weird idea would cross my mind to eat healthy and I would order brown rice … although Very rarely. Then I’d grab about 5 cups of their«magic sauce»(aka teriyaki sauce) and a cup or two of their watery-like hot sauce. Their really thick hot sauce is WAY too spicy for me, but the other one is perfect! Then I’d get back to work, mix it all together and go to town! I was usually in & out in less than 5 minutes. Nothing beats, fast, clean, easy, and yummy.

Horrible customer service. Called ahead to ask about ordering and the lady who answered said,(in a very thick Asian accent) «got to go. Customer waiting. Cannot talk to you.» She had no interest in helping me. Considering the order was for a very large group, she should have taken the time to answer my question. I’ll be going to the one on Newport Ave. instead. Thanks for nothing.

I love flame broiler, such a simple concept of chicken veggies and rice and it’s delicious! This location seems to exist to serve businesses in the area probably targeting the lunch hour as it is not in a highly visible location. The food I ordered(chicken breast white rice bowl with extra onions) tasted delicious topped with teriyaki sauce. The con for this location is that they do offer the bowl and drink for a discounted price deal, BUT you cannot upgrade to white meat for this deal, which makes no sense to me. So since I would have been charged separately for a drink since I wanted to upgrade to white meat, I passed on the drink. Note that other locations in the area offering the bowl and drink deal DO allow for white meat upgrade. So that was a big disappointment. The dining area is clean, parking is ample and the service is quick.

I’ve been here a few time. I suddenly have the urge to have their chicken bowl with their brown rice and a smash load of jalapenos. I think they have a pretty inexpensive lunch menu. $ 5.50 for a large bowl and a drink.

OHMY gosh. I just read the review of the guy who showed up a half hour befoire closing and got bad service. I showed up precisely at 7:42 pm, order, and was ready to eat fast and go with my friend, likely leaving about 5 minutes early, before 8 pm. I did not realize when it closed before I arrived, but I noted the closing time after coming in and mentally noted to make sure to eat quick. They soon give me a plate to go, because«We are closing(In 12 minutes), that’s why I gave you to go.» F**** em. I’m not gonna sit down and eat there with their obvious attitude. Nothing better than staring workers while you eat. How nice. Never again at this location. I’ll try another spot near me, I just happen to play in Santa Ana. Oh, the food? Barely adequate. At least the service on 17th St in Costa Mesa was legit.

if you can eat after seeing how dirty this place is you are a soldier. It’s hot inside because they are to cheap to run ac. The areas where you get your sauces and drinks are always buzzing with little fruit flys and extra sticky. Just get a soda at the gas station because yours will be way to flat and way to sweet, this indicates that they don’t have the machine set up properly or they don’t clean it probably both. just go to a better location this place gives the brand a bad name

When I have no time to cook I always order the work bowl, with brown rice, white meat no sauce & with broccoli only to stay on top of my healthy eating lifestyle. This place is my emergency place to go to when I’m short on time.

Typical Flame Broiler. At the time of this review, they have a chicken bowl + drink for $ 5.50 plus tax.

The Flame Broiler is the new healthy choice for lunch. Their teriyaki sauce is delicious and the chicken veggie bowl is a good choice. I like the chicken veggie bowl a little bit better than the beef bowl. However, the beef bowl is good as well. I would recommend this place to friends. Have a great Tuesday and check out what everyone’s been talking about!

I had the chicken bowl, and loved it. Something about their special«Magic Sauce» — which is their own teriyaki sauce, that makes food delicious! They don’t have that many options, but the few things they do have are very good. There rice is good.

THISPLACECHARGESEXTRAFORBROWNRICEANDEXTRAGREENONIONS!!! I guess all Flame Broilers aren’t created equal! That totally sucks because every other Flame Broiler I’ve been to doesn’t charge extra for brown rice! Taste good, simple just like all the other Flame Broilers.

To begin with, i like Flame Broiler. I went to the one in Irvine all the time. And i have many korean friends. i have nothing against koreans. I got there at 730. This Korean Lady yell at me with a very mean look, «We close at 8» i was like, ok. it’s just me and i just gotta order a small beef bowl. i ll be done in 20 mins. My food is ready in 5 mins. but i ordered brown rice and she gave me white rice. the beef was completely burn, dry, and taste like paper. i took a few bites, took like 15 mins and she keep looking at me the whole time. this how you run a business? is that mean she doesnt want me to come back? if so, she got it !

This was my first visit to a Flame Broiler. I’ve wanted to try one for the past three years since moving to OC and today, wanted some take out but wanted something fairly healthy. I got the white meat chicken veggie bowl with onions. After placing my order, I noticed I could have ordered it with brown rice and next time I will. The chicken was just how I like it — grilled, without any gnarly pieces. I would have been happier with a little more veggies and less rice but overall, it was very good. I don’t eat large portions of food so a bowl is easily two meals for me, for $ 7. I will go back!
