The food is really good. Tacos are their best plate there. The 3 stars are due to the lack of good customer service and the long wait for food. Even on days that they are nearly empty, the food still takes long and the waitresses act like you are bothersome simply for asking for a refill or adding an item to your order. Fix the customer service issue and I’ll give you the 5 stars :)

I really like the food. Everything I have had thus far has been cooked nicely and well seasoned. The salsas are good too. My favorite meal there has been a wet carnitas burrito in red sauce with a nice cold Corona in a chile salt rimmed cold mug. The food alone is a 4.5. HOWEVER the customer service, ranges from fairly decent to bad. The owner is actually really nice, however most of the wait staff are either somewhat rude or inattentive. Out of all the times I have been there, I have probably seen like 2 or 3 of the staff who are out and about cleaning, being friendly, and being attentive. Most of the times are delays in service, I can understand and wait reasonably for food to cook or if it’s busy but I can tell that most of the staff seems inattentive. Out of the times I’ve been I only recall this place ever being quite dirty twice. Nonetheless this is a spot I like going to when I don’t feel like cooking, not going anywhere far, nor spending too much on food.

In need of a quick Sunday morning hangover meal led to a last minute decision to visit this gem. After a long night of cocktails with friends, I deemed that a bowl of either menudo or pozole would do the trick. I opted to visit Tacos Sinaloa because the pozole and ceviche looked good on their Unilocal reviews. Walking in on a Sunday morning the place was pretty packed. There were only two available booths around 11am on a Sunday morning. So be sure to arrive early if you have a big party. Place was very casual nothing spectacular. After doing a quick survey of the crowd and noticing that at least one person on each table had a bowl of pozole solidified my decision to order the pozole. They start you off with chips and two types of salsa. The tomato based salsa was extremely watery and lacked flavor while the creamier salsa had a good flavor and a good kick. The pork pozole was delicious and fed two. Make sure to ask for extra limes and cilantro! The ceviche was solid and satisfied my fish craving and the tacos were solid! Overall a decent and affordable dining experience. The tab totaled $ 35 with tip for pozole, ceviche, three tacos and a michelada!

Loved this place. The Asada literally melts in your mouth. The shredded beef tacos are a great mix of light crispy shell and moist and flavorful beef. Damn my mouth is watering just writing this review. Good friendly service and they have a dulce counter to take care of your sweet tooth.

This place has amazing food. I have tried the Carne Asada Fries, Carne Asada Quesadilla, Molcajete Mixto, & Wet Burrito. It is definitely one of my go to places for quality food. What they do suck in is customer service. Many times when I have called they can’t hear me and ask me to call again. When I’m their some of the waiters come off as rude to me or people I’m with. I would rate this place higher if their customer service was better. I’m a regular because of the food.

Really can’t say anything but good things about this place! They’re fast even at lunch time and the servers are all really nice. I get the bean & cheese burrito with Jamaica every time, it’s a large burrito for the price. My friend gets the carne asada burrito and that looks really good too. Great prices, fast service, good food!

This little gem of a place was a lunch invite. The service is average and the atmosphere was average too for your typical taco stand. What shines is their food! I ordered their quesadilla with al pastor. The meat was juicy and seasoned perfectly. My cousin and 2 friends ordered their Pork Pozole which they said was delicious and perfectly ratios of meat, hominy and broth. Came with all the fixings of limes, dried oregano, raw onions and choice of crunchy tostada or soft tortillas. Definitely will come back if I am in Santa Ana!

The owner is very nice. I have eaten here too many times to count for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have also used them to cater events. The carne asada is delicioso! The green creamy salsa type sauce is a different twist on salsa for chips. The prices are cheap(usually under $ 10 for an entrée) and all entrees come with rice, beans and tortilla. The food is quite tasty.

The company I work for tends to order catering from this location fairly often for meetings. My boss raves about the place; But for me, it just falls exactly in the middle as far as Mexican food goes. Our office typically orders the massive catering trays of the Beef and Chicken Fajitas, which comes with a healthy side of beans, rice, and salad. Even on the occasions where we have dined in, this location always gives large portions for the menu price. However, although they give you more than enough food for the fill, their items here are just average in comparison to other locations throughout Southern California. This location is a great place to stop in for a quick lunch if you don’t want to think too hard about what to get or where you want to go. But a few searches on Unilocal could definitely get you to a better and tastier location not too far away.(Santa Ana is full of great Mexican food).

I come here all the time. The place is ALWAYS packed. We never get seated, always have to seat ourselves. The last time I was here, our waitress took about 15 mins to take our drink order. She took our food order and left. Never came back to check on us. Our food took about 45 mins to come out. We ordered 3 shrimp cocktails! When the food finally arrived, it was good, not excellent but good. I would have expected more for the time it took to arrive. Every time I come, the service sucks! None of the wait staff really bothers to come back to check on you. I mean, if you don’t mind waiting 1 hour or more for food, you might want to try this place

Arrived here 730PM on a Saturday night. The place is always packed and it’s nearby my house! Waited around 5 minutes to get seated. Ordered water and a bottle of coke(the coke with the glass bottle that’s made in Mexico). Free chips obviously… lots of different types of chip dip. The green one has a gnarly kick to it so be careful or you’ll end up sweating like me. You can always go and try other types of salsa at the salsa bar. Try them out! There’s a different green one that isn’t spicy so maybe you’ll like that one more. The coke was amazing. No idea why, but mexican coke is bomb diggity. For our entrees, we ordered the 3 item combo. Each combo came with beans and rice. Enchilada, tamale, and a taco(choice between hard or soft shelled). Enchilada = 9/10…WOW! Lots of cheese. Warm, soft, and filled with red sauce. SOAMAZING!!! LOVEDTHIS!!! Tamale = this was okay. 6/10…it was super hot. The others at my table loved it, but I just thought it was okay. I’ve never been a big fan of tamales but whatever. Part of the meal… ate it all obviously. Hard shelled taco = 9⁄10. WHATTHEHECK… THISTHINGISGOOD! I got the shredded beef, and others at my table got the chicken. They were all evenly delicious! Their tacos… for reals… their tacos are amazing. I used to always go to SABROSO in Garden Grove, but this place is loads cheaper and the food is just as good. TRUSTME, try this place out. Their only downfall is that the food takes FOREVER to arrive. At least 20−30minutes of waiting before the food arrives, but at least you know it’s fresh! I’ll be back! woot woot! Well done guys

Great food with real authentic flavors that satisfy the most discerning Mexican palate, as well those who are fond of comida Mexicana. The portions are large and had me stuffed half way through, which made it great take away for a late night snack. One tell of a great restaurant is when it is consistently packed with its local loyalists. Tacos Sinaloa would probably never have to advertise because the positive word of mouth will keep the foot traffic always steady. This establishment ranks high on my list for fine Mexican dining while in Orange County. We will visit again for sure…

I appreciate that even though they close in 30 mins, the waitress seated us with a real smile. Made us feel at home. So thank you. FOOD — 7⁄10 Chips — crunchy and decent(found one that was stale amor old). Salsa — 9⁄10 creative, tasty and different Vibe — 6⁄10

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants. I have been going to the location in Orange, CA for years because they closed due to low foot traffic. So, now I make the drive to Santa Ana. :) Food is delicious. I highly recommend going there and it’s not expensive either. However, on certain days, they are really busy. So, the food may come out a little late. I recommend you their breakfast menu. I believe they serve breakfast all day. Some of my favorite dishes: Chorizo con Huevos, Chicken Fajitas, Chile Verde, Enchiladas, Carnitas Burritos, etc. Pretty much everything.

I was craving some Mexican food so I jumped on Unilocal to find the closest genuine Mexican spot. I dragged my boyfriend with me. We were immediately greeted by the waitresses and they were super friendly, despite the fact that it was an hour from closing time. Within a minute of sitting, they brought us some chips and salsa and I’ve got to say that they were delicious!

I went with my son on a Friday night. It was pack with a party in the back. I waited a bit for a person to come help me and bring me drinks. I ordered the trio fajitas with a side of rice. I think I waited about a half an hour for my plate of not longer. The result was the fajitas are super bomb. I would say it is 65% bell peppers and onion the other 45% was steak chicken and shrimp. The side dish with my beans and rice was a little small and the salad that they claim is shredded lettuce with a dip of ranch. The guacamole on the plate was very small and no sour crème. I’m sure you have to pay more for that. We did get chips to eat while we were waiting but had little interaction with the waitress who was checking up on us. You have to get your own to-go container because nobody was around. My last say is that the food was super delicious but the service and side platter was a little weak. 3 ½ stars

I rate this place average since the food and it’s authentic flavor make up for the service that sometimes is below average. My plate of choice is Combo #9 — 3 tacos with meat of it’s choice, beans and rice. You can’t beat that price for authentic flavor. Don’t forget the green jalapeño salsa, it will give your taste buds a whole new feeling.

Food: –Good chips and very good tasting green salsa, tastes home made like a salsa should taste. I had the molcajete de mariscos(seafood mix) very well cooked and they are not stingy with the shrimp. and the salsa on top was very good. Service: –very poor, we did get greeted and seated right away, we had our order taken immediately but after we got our food we were ignored for a long time, I even had to get up to look for the waitress when I needed more drinks and salsa. I noticed that they are very bad organized and have bad communication among them because they kept taking the wrong orders to the tables and they kept bumping into each other trying to take orders from one client. It wasn’t a bad experience, I’ve had worse. Food is good but they need to really work with their service. It’s 4 starts for food by But 3 stars for service
