History

Established in 2012.

New location

I never wanted to take on the arduous task of owning a salon, yet I never found a salon that matched my philosophy as a stylist. That said, after 15 years of managing and working in salons, I opened Splitends. I wanted splitends to be a more of an artistic/​creative lab where a very small group of professional stylists could come together and grow, rather than a 50 employee multi-​national mega salon, where employees often end up overlooked and unsatisfied.

I have found this philosophy works quite well, and we have subsequently managed to pick a large portion of the, «mega salon» clientele with this model.

Business Owner

Christopher Hall has been doing hair in Orange County and Los Angeles for 21 years, with expertise in custom color, specialized haircuts, professional styling, and chemical re-​bonding. HIs experience and knowledge of the business includes:

Extensive knowledge of numerous retail product lines.

Featured on the Style Network’s show Splits Ends, on NBC’s «Starting Over» and Lifetime’s «Head2toe» as the hair expert.

Extremely confident with many clipper and razor techniques.

Vast experience with punk /​alternative /​rock-​a-​billy /​electro-​clash /​goth /​industrial /​mod /​and brit-​pop hair dressing.

Years of experience with Manic Panic, Fudge, Punky Color and numerous other counter culture hair colors.

Trained and experienced in thermal ionic straightening.

Broad experience with location hair styling, studio location scenes, weddings and commercials (inc. Toyota, Volkswagen).

Dedicated four years on the Fullerton College Advisory Board for Cosmetology.
