This is a cash only home establishment. So many flavors to choose from and all under $ 3! Amazing value for money. You can’t go wrong with their mangonadas, mango with chile, cucumber with chile. Sweet, salty and hot at the same time. Flavor explosion in the mouth! I wouldn’t recommend the cream stick options though. They were not creamy enough for a cream stick. Park at superior groceries and walk next door.

Horrible customer service especially if you don’t know how to speak Spanish. I’m never coming here again. I can’t believe how people treat you when you don’t know how to speak there Language. I don’t recommend this place at all, it was just a waist of my money, gas, and time.

Great price. Great Popsicles. Had a pistachio bar(soooo good) and strawberries and cream bar(decent) The area is a bit sketchy but other than that the staff is very attentive and you get your money’s worth here.

Homemade ice cream for under $ 3! As previously noted, cash only & off the beaten path. They have water-based popsicles much like sorbet & cream-based ice cream in all kinds of fun flavors like tequila & mamey! The tequila ice cream had a hint of liquor flavor mixed with almonds, giving it a rich, smooth texture. My friend got the mango with chimoya & chile sprinkled on it, a nice Mexican style. The workers are quick, attentive & efficient to boot. I’ll be back for sure when I’m in the area!

Mad legit I swear I got some Tostilocos and a mangoneada and 2 Oreo paletas. Some people complain about the location and the cash only thing, but that’s why you have Unilocal hahahaha. So far everything has been amazing, the lady is super cool. God dam this stuff is fucking great hahahahaha.

So delicious, I stopped in for only a second on my way home and was not disappointed at all. I got the coconut ice cream and my girlfriend got a coconut water-based popsicle. Both were amazing!

The four stars are based on their flavor and quality of the tasty treats. Their service was okay, the lady was not so friendly. The popsicles were delicious and unique. 2.00 $ each Popsicle.

FYICASHONLY! Hole in the wall establishments like Paleteria make it so fun when you’re hunting for the next great place. Literally is a hole in a wall type of place because you can’t really see it when you’re driving by or even when you’re parked. There’s a big parking lot in another plaza(next to the mini one that Paleteria is in) and also another parking lot adjacent to this place, but I have no clue how to get into that one. It is in the middle of the row of shops(some weird shops to by the way), right next to Alcohol Anonymous. I got the galleta(2.50) and esquite(2.00). The chili and generous amount of Parmesan makes the esquite so bomb and the in– house made popsicles are so refreshing. Love that the galleta has oreos on both sides of the popsicle. It is creamy, delicious, and not overly sticky like how most popsicles leave you hanging! So bomb.

Best ice cream around! Don’t go to that nasty trendy Front Porch Pops in DT Santa Ana! Come here instead! Cheap and extremely tasty!

This place’s ice cream is over the top delicious! But the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because their pricing is pretty weird. It’s 1.50 for their small cup in which they put 2 scoops the one after that is 2.50 and it’s in a wider bowl but the thing is it gets 2 scoops as well, just side by side. Same amount, not even a dab more. So just ask for the small size, you get the same amount as you would on the next size.

The Unilocal hours are incorrect– Sunday and Saturday, La Flor Di Michoacan is open till 630 pm. Came in at 740 pm and was bitterly disappointed to find out it was closed. Possibly Santa Ana’s well kept secret, it’s about 1.5 miles away from DTSA. Park in the lot next for Superior. I highly recommend the mango con chile(mango sorbet with chamoy and tajin) and the esquite(corn in the cup with mayo, cheese, chile, and lime). I saw that they had«tostilocos»(tostitos with cueritos, tamarind candy, chile, and japanese peanuts) and I can’t wait to come back and try it! Cash only! $$$

I love paletas! I had a bit of difficulty finding this place… but to make it easier for other Unilocalers out there, it is located near a grocery plaza. You have to walk since it is hidden inside next to that plaza in a very small plaza(next to a shoe store). There was a cute little boy that walked in right before me explaining the difference between the bars. I asked him which one is good and he replied with«all of them.» I decided to try guayaba(guava) agua bar. A water bar is only 1.99, milk bar is just a dollar more. It’s a very small ice cream shop, so I wouldn’t expect much from their service. Worth going to if you work near by or don’t mind driving to find it, especially if you love paletas! :)

This review is actually more of a 3.5ish So the place is a little hard to find, and in an area I don’t want to be at night time. Once we found it, the place didn’t get any better, the lighting is awful, the place is too big for what the sell, and half of the establishment is empty. 3 stars The menu is not that great. They lack some flavors, and where is the agua fresca? Every traditional place like this, especially one in Santa Ana must have at least some horchata, Jamaica, and tamarindo. But not this one! 3.5 stars The reason I came here, the mangoneadas! And I was very pleased! Most places have some sort of ice blended with mango and chamoy. However, this one makes theirs with delicious mango ice cream! And it hit the spot. Although a bit overpriced for the small portion, I’m assuming they are trying to make the rent since they are so hidden they don’t get enough to business. 4.5 NOCARDSACCEPTED this wasn’t a problem for me that day because my husband had cash, otherwise I would’ve been a sad debit card customer walking out the door. 3 stars My advice for this place, crank up the lighting to make this place look fresh, like your items, add some fresh paint, and some inexpensive seating and you’ll have more clientele. Next walk outside on the main avenue or the market parking lot with a few mini spoons with your mango/chamoy concoction, and business cards and you will attract enough customers to pay the bills and lift this place up, you definitely have what it takes.

I wanted mangonada, and this place was a disappointment. I paid $ 5 for a tiny cup of mango sorbet and chamoy sauce. I expected fresh mango slices and the chile stick thingy. Not to mention, this location is REALLY hard to find and in a very shady area. I don’t think this should be rated 4 stars on Unilocal.Unilocal buddy Quoc’s review helped a little with finding the ice cream shop. On Main, you can get there two ways. Turn on Commerce and park in the lot. Walk towards the building and you’ll see the hallway. The store is in the middle, so you can’t see it from the street. The shop is across an alcoholics anonymous gathering room. The second way to get there is to park in the corner of the Superior grocery store parking lot and walk to the side walk on the left side of the grocery store(away from the flower shop). Keep walking past the arcade place, and turn in the hallway before you hit Commerce Street. It’s on the right side. This is a very small ice cream shop, and although I should give them credit for making their own ice cream, I don’t feel comfortable making purchases here. I can imagine it being really icky and sticky during the hot summer, which is what you do NOT want in the summer. You want an air-conditioned ice cream shop that will provide you with nice seats and tables to enjoy your dessert. They barely have two tables and a few folding chairs. If you do decide to venture out here, make sure you bring cash. They don’t accept cards.

It is a little hard to find and it’s in a pretty shady area. Other than that, It’s a really cute store, very authentic and the woman was very friendly. Everything is very fresh. It’s not a good place for group, very little space to sit. Highly recommend the Mangoniada and if they run out of the mango sorbet, the strawberry version of the Mangoniada is very tasty. The esquites are very tasty.

This place is kind of hidden in the back and within a plaza. You’ll have to turn into Commercial Street to get to the parking lot and then walk into this hallway in the plaza to get to this store. Very mom & pop and they were playing the World Cup final today :) There are 4 display cases of goodies, 2 filled with the paletas(popsicles) and 2 filled with ice cream. I originally wanted a Fruitas Tropicales paleta but they ran out! So I went with a Pistachio ice cream on sugar cone instead. It was DELICIOUS. It’s hard for me to find really good pistachio ice cream since most of the time it tastes fake. But this had generous chunks of pistachio and it wasn’t too sweet at all! Definitely a fan. My foodie partner tried the Fresas con Leche ice cream cone(Strawberry w/milk) and he said it was really good too. I tried a little and it was good but I definitely liked my pistachio better. I also sampled their guava ice cream. Really guava-y but would probably be too much for a whole cone. They allow ONE sampling only. :P Definitely a fan! $ 2 ice cream cones $ 3.50 waffle cones $ 1.75 paletas And they have various banana splits and frozen chocolate bananas

Not sure how I stumbled upon this place, but I am so glad I did. The reviews here are dead on… But the photos are what really sold me on this place. One of my guilty pleasures is mangonadas served from authentic Mexican shops/food trucks. There’s something about the sweet, sour, and spicy taste of a mangonada that makes me jump for joy. I’ve had mangonadas from many different places. And if I could have it my way, I would have one at least once a week. Mangonadas consist of a frozen mango concoction with a chamoy sauce(sour tamarindo with spicy chili). Here, they serve it with chamoy covered all over the cup with hefty scoops of mango sorbet topped with some more chamoy. It’s like heaven in a cup. Yum. They also serve a variety of Mexican-style Popsicles in almost every flavor imaginable along with an array of hand dipped ice creams. They also have horchatas, tamarindo, agua frescas, and other drinks. I believe there are smoothies here, but I didn’t get to try it. The best part about this place is that everything is affordable. The mangonada was $ 4 and ice cream was $ 2 a cone. They only accept cash here. Plenty of parking space in the back. Not in the best neighborhood, but I didn’t expect anything less.
