This company makes false claims. They will state that your keywords in your area are trending getting thousands of searches, when they are clearly not. You can go on Google Trends and check for yourself.
They also claim guaranteed inclusion in Google’s listings, which Google themselves says is not possible nor something they offer.
They also use robo-​calling. This company is hands down a scam operation. They claim 40,000 clients, but refuse to disclose even one of their clients for «privacy reasons».

Great company! The sad thing is all of the bad reviews come from the marketing, or the way the calls are made. But none actually have seen what the company is like. Great staff, amazing product, and are very honest when presenting the service. I have seen different companies that offer simulator, but none deliver like they do.

They most likely call from YOUR area code and say they are helping local business. They start off asking are you the business owner? That’s how you know you’re about to be lied to. They will hang up on you if you ask them anything «off script». SCAM ALERT!!!

Another RoBo call, when I asked what the company’s name and location was, they gave me the name but just the county not the city. When I asked why he only gave me the county he said «because I didn’t think you would know where the city was», ahhh stupid response. At this point I knew it was a scam for sure.

They ROBO-​CALL you pretending to be your best friend, insisting that they are working with GOOGLE and can get your company name listed on the very 1^st page. I just kept hearing that they’re GOOGLE and I was supposed to drop everything! Huh?! What they aren’t aware of is that my company is quite nicely represented on GOOGLE for a fraction of the cost they’re claiming to do. Their ridiculous charge of $ 199 is about $ 160 more that what I’m already paying for. When I challenged them with a few tough questions, they HUNG-​UP on me! SCAM ALERT — — GET YOUR MONEY BACK FROM VISA or MASTER CARD IMMEDIATELY!!! CANCEL ANY CONTRACT IMMEDIATELY! THEY AREN’T WHO THEY SAY THEY ARE!

Got a robocall from them just now. The recording was the generic «press 1 to update your Google listing» message. After pressing 1 I was transferred to a sales person who immediately started asking me questions about my business. I already knew they weren’t Google because Google does not cold call people, but to the uninformed this could be very misleading. They make it sound like they are Google when they are really not. The sales person didn’t tell me who he really worked for until I asked.
I called their 800 number to ask to be taken off their list. I was polite about it. The person I spoke to said «It’s taken care of» without asking what my number was or anything. I asked him to read off my phone number, since I had a feeling he hadn’t done anything and he hung up on me. At least now, if they call back again, I can consider it harassment and maybe get their local police department involved

I would not even give this business a star, but I have to so I can give them a negative review. I wouldn’t recommend this business to my worst enemy. They are a scam. They hook you in saying that they are Google but they aren’t. They have the worst customer service, very ruden especially if you try to cancel. They will ask for your password for your Unilocal,e-​mail, Google+ accounts. They say its so that they can better manage your advertising. But all they do is change your contact information and place links to other businesses etc.
I called them to cancel because of their lying. They refused to cancel quoting the contract. So I called back told them that I was the legal rep for my business called them out on the mistakes they made as well as the loss of business they created. I also told them if they wanted to use the breech of contract excuse, they were the ones who breeched by misrepresenting themselves as Google, changing information on my Unilocal,and causing me to loose business. I also told them as my legal rep i would pursue this matter futher if they failed to cancel the account. Thy quoted their cancelation policy, which was a bunch of bs. Needless to say i called back a few days later to make sure thr account had been cancelled, and magically it was. No need for a cancelation form, any payments, or any of their bs.
They put my wife and I through 2 weeks of hell!!!

I wish Unilocal would allow me to give this company zero stars. I believe that Internet Local Listings is solely interested in your money and not at all in the well being of your business. In fact, I believe that hiring them has been a detriment to my business rather than any help at all. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! They built a website for me that looks like an elementary school project. Anyone with a computer could build a better website through the many existing platforms (Squarespace, etc.) and have better luck accomplishing their SEO goals.

I am so thankful for Unilocal at this moment! I got a robo-​call from them about updating our information or we wouldn’t be recognized so I accepted the call. After talking to the blubbering rep for 1 minute I had a bad feeling so I pulled them up on Unilocal and here I am — NOT falling for it. Thanks to everyone who shared.

Absolutely horrible…“Google Specialist” ??? I doubt Google would like you guys to tarnish their name like you have. Descriptions were awfully wrong. Customer Service are robots without a brain… reading from a script. Without signing a contract they still charge your credit card without your consent. The only thing you can do is have your bank call them and ask them why they charged you without your consent. They will jump so high and return your money faster than anyone else. From experience. They are terrible, find a local reputable company instead… They dont care about their customers only about their own pockets.

Negative 5 stars. I’m surprised the FTC hasn’t fined them yet. I continue to get robo-​calls even when you tell them not to call.

You will get a continuous robocalls from this pathetic excuse for a company. When you search for the company online, you’ll find similar complaints from other people. The pre-​recorded message is as follows «Hi, this is Sharon your local Google specialist. We have front page position available for a business like yours, etc…» Even if you opt out, the calls will continue.
I think the «opt-​out» request is a confirmation of a live person that will increase the amount of calls if you choose this option. If you run a search for «Internet Local Listings», you’ll find a bunch of negative postings from businesses that were unfortunate enough to rely on their overly hyped services. This is obviously a fly by night operation that you want to stay away from. Any company that relies on robocall technology to drum up new business is very suspect in my book.
I can’t imagine how much longer a company with these sort of marketing practices will last. Given them enough time, and I’m sure they’ll move to a 1 star rating. I already plan on logging a complaint with the FTC!

Absolute scam. Their services are useless and they are a chop shop, telling people they do search engine optimization, taking small business owner’s money, delivering nothing that they promise to do. It’s only sales and marketing people who are not tech-​savvy and they try to get people to sign their agreements for a three-​month trial period, requesting payment, delivering no value at all.
Avoid them at all costs.

I truly feel so sorry for any business owner who falls for this scam. They represent themselves as employees of Google when they are far from it (FTC Violation 1). They say that they have an in with someone at Google and are able to create rankings because of it (FTC Violation 2).
This company believes that business owners have zero knowledge of SEO and will create the funniest looking website for $ 600. These websites are an embarrassment for any business and you’re going to regret that any potential client saw such a thing that «supposedly» represents your business.
If they are in breach of contract, you can point it out to them numerous times and all they will do is repeat themselves like robots working off a script instead of addressing the real issue.
To add insult to injury, after you express how dissatisfied and disgusted you are with this scam artist company, they will ask if you want to reopen your account with them to «fix» their mistakes. These people seriously think and will treat you like you’re all kinds of stupid. Don’t let them insult your intelligence like that.
There is so much useful and accessible SEO information online. You don’t need this company to rip you off and give you nothing in return. You can purchase a domain, create a website, and rank key words for less than half of what this company will charge you.
Need some help? No problem. Check out local colleges and Craigslist listings that are crawling with young kids who major in web development and computer science dying for a gig. They will be infinitely more helpful to you, much cheaper, and they actually know what they are doing.

This company won’t stop calling my company. I receive at least 20 calls a week from them and I have asked them to please STOP calling. They say they are calling in regard to the ONE negative review on Unilocal funny because they only have negative reviews! Please don’t be fooled by this BOGUS company from what we have read on their review and don’t encourage their poor industry standards by doing business with them!!!

What a scam. Never did anything for me. Promised me a lot. It’s been 2 months and I still don’t have a website. They refused to let me cancel even thought they were not doing their part! Beware you have been warned !!!

All I can say is I would never use this company ever again. There is no concern at all about customer satisfaction or complaints, but they very good about getting you signed up and collecting payment. I was promised tracking logs on how my web site was ranking and never got them.
They do not return emails and phone calls after you sign up. They didn’t even return phone calls or emails when I was trying to cancel the service. I could go on and on and all I will say is, «BUYER BEWARE»!!!

I get a robocall from them every day… EVERY DAY! Every time I ask to be taken off their list the telemarketer just hangs up. I would never do business with them. Bad business practices. All the other 4 and 5 star ratings on this thread also seem to be shills.
