I come here a couple times a week for lunch and order the works bowl every time. It’s always consistent and exactly what I expect from Flame Broiler and is actually better than other Flame Boilers I’ve been to, which is why I gave them a 5 star.

I don’t usually do this, but worst flame broiler I have ever been to. No bathroom, won’t sub in veggies for rice with their special, slightly soggy rice, terrible hidden location, and the drinks/sauces/cash registers are all in one tiny area so you have to wait forever to get your condiments, drinks, and utensils. Drive a couple more miles and go to a better one!

This location is hidden! Had a hard time finding it as there is no lit sign from the inside of the plaza. It is in between the ECellspot and Chicken restaurant by Papa Johns. I called and the employee was helpful with directions.

I don’t even know how to feel about this place. My bf and I came here on a Tuesday night, food and service was good. As we got up to leave I heard something fall, so I asked my bf what fell as I continued to walk away. I stopped confused when he said a ROACH ! I walked back and saw a huge dead roach on the floor near we were sitting. I didn’t even know what to say or how to react. I just felt disgusted and sick to my stomach. I am now second guessing my «good chicken veggie bowl ».

Want my money back! My bowl was half empty!!! Just went there and they apparently they have a new bowl. It’s wider at top but more shallow. As I was ordering, I saw a lot of bowls come out that were half empty and I was told it was the mini. So I was expecting my bowl to be filled to the top. Or at least have ONE chicken touch the top! But when I got home and opened my bowl, man. I was pissed. It wasn’t even half full!!! There was hardly any rice. I ate it in less than 5 minutes. Such a waste of money. I’ll never going back to this location.

Great Food but terrible staff service! Went in there with a coupon«buy 2 get 1 free» and the employee before even looking at it said they don’t accept those there. I told her the location address was in the ad that came with the coupon and she didn’t know what to do. Tried doing something on the cash register machine but I think she was just faking trying to do something she didn’t know how to do. Didn’t even bother calling a manager or someone else for assistance. If you are on a budget you take every penny you can take. Very disappointing that my coupon wasn’t accepted. I know it may not seem like a lot for a bow that is about $ 7 but if you let this and other similar things slide eventually it adds up. Will not be visiting this location again!

Food is good but they barely put any in your bowl. They gave me my bowl half empty. The owner; the Asian guy needs to be more friendly. I hate going to this place I rather go to any other flame broiler.

My favorite fast-casual restaurant chain! 5 stars for food but overall gotta remove a star because 8⁄10 times they get my order wrong. If you get it to go it’s very difficult to check since they pack it in so tightly. Especially since most of the time what they get wrong is when they give me white rice instead of brown. Which especially bothers me since they charge more for it. They also tend to mess up when I ask for more veggies to rice ratio. So heads up about that. So yeah, great food but it is clear they hire idiots who even though awknowledge your order and it is written on the receipt for you, it will still be incorrect. Main reason why I keep returning is the lack of other fast-casual healthy-ish food chains. And they keep giving away 10% off coupons where I work so it is hard to resist. It is what it is.

I really do like the food here and although the service can be hit and miss at times, it’s generally good. They prepare and cook the food quickly, but it never tastes that way. I have only ever had one bad experience there, but one out of all of the times won’t effect my patronage

Overpriced for what you get. We ordered one beef bowl and one chicken bowl with veggies for take out. The beef bowl was decent, a lot of rice. There wasn’t much chicken in the chicken bowl, mostly veggies, big broccoli and carrot pieces and a big chunk of lettuce. It wasn’t very filling, maybe because the portions may be a bit smaller for take out since they have to put a cover over the bowl. A nice snack, but if you want a meal, much better values elsewhere. When I first tried a newly opened Flame Broiler, I wondered how can they stay in business with the size versus cost for what you get and less than a year later, they shut down.

Ordered the Angus beef plate with no onions. Comes with brown rice or white, meat and oranges. The food was pretty good and consistent with rest of flame broilers. My only knock is the whole place smells like bathroom or some kind of really strong cleaning supply. Probably came during a clean sess? But I got to go so wasn’t there long. Service was quick.

I like Flame Broiler but this location was not my favorite. The chicken was dry and overdone. There were also a lot of grisly, chewy pieces, which suggests poor quality. The vegetables were good. The sauce made it all taste better.

I liked flame boiler, up until I had the cashier giving me attitude when I was ordering my food. I only give it two stars for the food because it’s decent, however because of their poor customer service, I give it two stars.

The chicken lacks flavor, you’re better off with the beef bowl. They have their station fully stocked with jalapeños, magic sauce and hot sauce. They’re pretty quick at delivering your food.

Why do they have so many Flame Broilers in Santa Ana? I’ve been to like 3 different ones in Santa Ana, this one is probably my favorite being that its in a part of Santa Ana that isn’t so busy. It’s really hidden in this plaza, you wouldn’t initially think that thtere is one because it is hidden in a corner and is over shadowed by the near by chicken maison restaurant.

Flame Broiler is great. However, one of the girls that works at this place was flat out horrible. I ordered two chicken bowls with brown rice, before completing the order she even asked if I wanted brown rice on both bowsl, to which I replied yes. She brought out the bowls with white rice… I looked at her and kindly said«Oh, I’m sorry, I ordered brown rice…» she looked at me and just shook her head, I asked her what she meant by that. She said«No you didn’t» We went back and forth for a second or two, the whole time just saying«No, no, no you didn’t» I don’t even care about the rice, it was just that sh*t attitude she had & what’s up with the green onions sitting out on the counter in an uncovered bucket?

I realize this place ain’t Burger King and«having it your way» isn’t their motto… but seriously, when did it become a crime to want to have your food your way, especially when you’re willing to toss extra money at their face? I always special order the same thing when I hit up a Flame Broiler: mini half and half bowl with brown rice and veggies — the special part being that I ask to have veggies added to the bowl. Complicated, right? I know… They’re lucky I didn’t have a hankering for some unicorn tears in my magic sauce. I’ve never had an issue getting this request filled at any other Flame Broiler… except HERE! I often times am able to get the extra veggies for free… that’s right, FREE!!! No headaches, no dinero necessary! So seriously, what’s going on here Flame Broiler of Bristol St??? I tried everything under the sun to get the employee to budge, other than just punching her in the face and dunking her in magic sauce, but my request was denied big time. I was forced to order a regular bowl and ended up tossing a significant portion of it. I hope you heard those starving Ethiopian kids crying, Flame Broiler employee! The service wasn’t the only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth. Not only was I duped into ordering a larger portion, but it was a larger portion of food that didn’t even taste that great! The chicken and beef were both super dry and completely over-charred by Charizard, who apparently is the chef de cuisine at this Flame Broiler. Note to any human being with common sense and is interested in keeping and maintaining their health and well being — NEVERPISSOFFSOMEONEON A DIET… EVERRRRRRRRRRR!(Can someone toss a Whopper Jr., no pickles, at me now? GAH!)
