888 Caravan

The restaurant was difficult to find, it’s actually listed under Emerald Bay Restaurant nestled in the corner of MOM market. My mother heard their advertisement on the radio yesterday, $ 6.99/lb for lobster, ended up being charged &8.95/lb instead (due to increase in market price). Ordered the house special lobster on egg noodle. It was a bit greasy, noodles were thick. Would not recommend this place to others.

I think this review is actually generous of me. This place is actually right next to the Emerald Bay Restaurant where my family and I were about to go to until we found out that that place was for parties and weddings. 888 caravan was under «emerald bay» right next to the main emerald bay.
Anyways, I came in with my family for a late lunch at 2. The only other customers besides us were a part of about 7 men or so. We sat down and ordered lobster, clams, white rice, and their «house specialty» chicken. The clams first came out ($ 12.95) on a huge plate with probably less than half of it filled up. (Wasn’t paying attention to the number but it looked very few and the size was regular.) After, the lobster came out on a plate of noodles and the lobster was tiny with practically all shell. (It was 3.5 lbs.) My dad did not like this because restaurants are supposed to bring out the lobster to the customer so they can see how big their lobster is and know what they’re paying for, but they did not do this. The chicken finally came out and it turned out to be really regular. It was steamed and cut apart and drizzled in the «special sauce» but the taste was very plain.
In the end our check came to a total of $ 75.83 which was a huge ripoff considering the chicken to be around $ 22~$ 25, the lobster being tiny and almost meatless (another $ 22-​$ 25) then being charged $ 5 for the noodles (mi that was supposed to come with the lobster), and $ 13 for not enough clams, and lastly $ 3 for white rice which usually serves as a complimentary side.
We didn’t even give a tip because it was such a ripoff. The whole experience was disappointing and my family and I will not be returning.
