Buster’s Bistro

What a sweet surprise. We are from out of town and stumbled across this place. Wonderful staff, great food, great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Where to start… Ok how about here. We came here for my birthday, a party of 15. Yes I know it’s a bigger than normal party but for how big this place and popular it is, I figured they would be able to handle this. From the time that I walked in they couldn’t even figure out how to sit us. Well after standing around for about 10 minutes we finally got situated and seated. Let’s speed things up… It took about another 10 to order drinks and about 20 to order our food… An hour later two dishes came out. They finished their dishes. A couple more came out 10 min later. Then finally another 10 min later mine came out…
Now let’s talk about food. I had the pork kabob. Presentation crappy. Pork dried out. French fries soggy. Enough about that.
Now for the check. 20 minutes later. I think you got my point that I was not satisfied with anything.
Ps. It wasn’t even busy tonight.

It is insanity to not rush up here to get the filet mignon special before it’s gone. Rare is heavenly!

After the 327 Ladies Supper Dinner’s Cinco de Mayo dinner, some of the ladies and I went to Buster’s Bistro. We only had to walk to the next block. We had these delicious lemon drops. They are $ 3 every day. After I devoured my lemon drop, I ordered a bottle of Kasteel Rouge. It also came a little snack of tortilla chips. pretzels and Cheetos. Kasteel Rouge has a great cherry and the taste made me want more.
The owners Paulii & Christine gave us their personal attention. I will be going back there for sure. Their food & snack menu looks amazing.

What a great surprise. We ended up there on a random Friday night. Terrific band playing, fantastic beer selection, food was solid and good. Service was a little slow but otherwise very solid and an eclectic menu.
Seemed like a locals spot, really relaxed scene, but we felt quite welcome. Outdoor area, too, and pinball etc…
We’d come back in a heartbeat.

Wow! I am incredibly impressed by this place!
My fiancé and I went last night with the intention of just having a few drinks and ended up staying at the bar for a while!
Their beer selection is incredible and my fiancé loved the Italian Pinot Grigio they had.
The food was also out of this world. The charcuterie board was great with very high quality cheese and great meats. And the fries are absolutely second to none, so unbelievably delicious! Then we split the Goulash, which will absolutely not disappoint. It was out of this world!
Lastly, the service was incredible. The bartender was very friendly and came across very genuine. We also spoke with another lady that was working there who was incredibly friendly and kind as well. They both would say bye to everyone as they walked out the door.
I think we found one of our new favorite spots!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The service was impeccable and drink options are aplenty. I highly recommend it if you frequent downtown Sanford, or even if you are looking for a new bar to frequent. Love this place!

First off the atmosphere is great, very welcoming clean and well put together. Their food is also very good, French fries are amazing! They also have a wide selection of beer on draft and have bar games like Jenga and outside seating. Will defiantly come again.

So I went in here on a complete lark, as a ‘Belgian’ bar would seem to offer something different. Boy, did it ever deliver! If you can find a more unique offering of drinks AND food, let me know! I tried unique euro sours, ciders, Belgian ales, Belgian walnut liqueur, and really good goulash that came with fries that defy description — sue me if I’m lying here. They claim the process takes 3 days to make these things, and I believe them. They’re crispy on the outside and creamy and flavorful (seriously) on the inside, with an array of sauce options.
On top of all that, the Belgian owners are super hospitable, and their help were super cool with giving me recommendations, explaining their offerings and allowing me samples

I love Buster’s! Freshly renovated, open and clean layout, this is a great place for a meal, incredible beer selection, and even some awesome live music. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly, stop in and say hello! This is a highlight of the «new» downtown Sanford… it’s great to see the way the town is growing!

Between the beer or the homemade pickles I could spend hours here just chilling and hanging out with friends.
I highly recommend the Kwak or Red Palm.

Fabulous. Great beer selection. A perfect get away in Sanford. The staff is wonderful and so knowledgeable about the beer. Both owners are a great team. The new location is beautiful and great live entertainment.

A nice little bar hidden in the heart of Sanford. I was a little typsy after Hollerbachs when I went here so I will have to write more next time. But I will go back here soon to experience it better. What I did though I really enjoyed!

My wife and I were devout wine heads, until we stumbled into Busters Bistro’s old location several months after it opening and never left! True Belgian beer at its finest. Knowledgeable, friendly, very personable staff. The cheese offerings (or boards) are insanely scrumptious and the other Belgian dishes rank equally. Now the new location boast the same attributes with twice the size twice the love. Btw: Live music weekly. Nothing finer than good music, good food and great drink!

We moved to Sanford a few years ago and stumbled upon this gem one day soon after and it was love! This Belgian beer garden has a fabulous selection of beer and wine as well as amazing service and delicious food! These wonderful people have become family to us! Check it out for yourself! You’ll be glad you did!

Busters has an amazing atmosphere, knowledgable wait staff, great selection of Belgium beers, on tap and in bottles. The food is upscale from your typical bar grub. Music on weekend, very eclectic and always fun. One of the must go’s in Sanford’s beer centric bar scene. Support local, this is NOT a cookie cutter corporate place. Interesting, cool and fun.

Buster’s Bistro is a Belgian beer bar. If you like Belgian brews, this is the place to be. Also starting October 8^th 2015, they will have a full Belgian kitchen available. For now it’s just the cheese, Bistro boards and sandwiches. The old location turned into a Sour/​Geuze bar with a bunch of pinball machines. If those beers are any interest to you, definitely a bar to check out.

We were introduced to Buster’s Bistro about 3 years ago. The staff, food and choices of Belgium beer plus wines are amazing. It is a place where you are always welcomed with a hug from the owners and staff. The cheese/​meat boards also the sandwiches are excellent and the presentation is perfect. I can’t wait for their full hot food menu. Buster’s has their house band, «Delirium», performing live once a month. They play a variety of music from oldies to country, to pop music and are a lot of fun to sing and dance to! Every Friday night there is different musical entertainment, so please come check it out! Buster’s is like «Cheers» where everyone knows your name.

Where to start?! My fiancée and I first visited Buster’s last year at the old location because of some friends’ recommendation. We immediately fell in love with it! The staff was incredible, the beer selection out of this world and the customers were always top notch. We instantly became friends with many of the regulars and came back often.
We anticipated the opening of the new location for quite some time and when they finally opened, we were more than impressed. The décor is fantastic, the beer selection has gotten even better and now they serve some the most incredible food we have ever tried! They also host a band every weekend and finally have a great place to set the band up.
Buster’s has been a staple in our lives since our first visit and we go at a minimum once a week. It’s not just the amazing Belgian beer drafts and bottle selection or the unbelievable food options, but again, the atmosphere and clientele. Buster’s was actually a huge reason we decided to buy a home and move to the downtown Sanford area.
We both highly recommend Buster’s any day of the week they are open. It’s the kind of place where you will make friends and have a great experience!
