History

Established in 2010.

Stephanie Chatterton Maag was raised in her mother’s dance studio; the daughter of a ballerina and an actor, Stephanie set her goals high from a very young age. Although she has taught at many wonderful studios across the state, Mrs. Maag always dreamed of opening a school of her own.

In July of 2010, an opportunity too good to pass up came along… and «The Learning Circle» performing arts studio was born. Along with her husband and business partner, Stephanie opened her doors in August of 2010. She hand-picked her teachers based on their performance and teaching skills as well as their nurturing personalities. Their professional team in one in mind and goal; to provide developmentally appropriate training to nurture creativity. As enrollment has grown, the small business feeling has remained; class sizes are small so each student receives the attention they desire. Classes are well planned, fun, age appropriate, and educational. The Learning Circle family is thrilled to be in Sandy!

Meet the Business Owner

Stephanie M.

Business Owner

Stephanie received not one, but eleven scholarships to colleges and universities throughout the Western United States. She knows what it takes to soar to the stars; her passion for helping others come along for the ride is translated physically in her dream for the studio, which is to provide a place for young dreamers to learn skills that will springboard them into a brighter future. Many of Stephanie’s past students have been recipients of dance scholarships and/or been accepted to Joffery Ballet, American Ballet Theater, New York Ballet, Boston Ballet, et al.

In addition to excelling in college, teaching dance at studios such as the Academy of Ballet Arts, and Diamond Talent Productions, and choreographing musicals including «Music Man Jr.», «Bye Bye, Birdie», and «Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat», she also choreographs the popular UDOT safety assembly «Snap, Walk and Roll!» Stephanie is a mother of four and happy in her marriage to her business partner, Troy Maag.
