PPMA is Utah’s premier martial arts and leadership development facility. We are the trusted experts in teaching children of all ages, teens, & adults. As members in the American Taekwondo Association, we’re professionally trained and specialize in developing qualities of leadership, goal setting, self discipline, confidence, communication, and respect. We create Black Belt Leaders.

The focus of ATA Tigers and Martial Arts Kids is to improve physical strength and stamina, develop strong character attributes, teach bully prevention, and train child safety and abduction prevention skills, and self-​defense. Our Bully Prevention program is endorsed by Olweus, the most researched bullying prevention program. Our Child Safety & Abduction Prevention program is endorsed by Amber Alert.

For teens and adults, we’ll improve your overall health and physical fitness in a fun and safe environment. We combine martial arts with Warriorr X-​fit, a highly effective HIIT (high intensity interval training) program.

18+ can train in Warrior Krav Maga, based on simple and effective self-​defense that emphasizes instinctive movements, practical techniques, and real life training scenarios, it will help you get into great shape with a cardiovascular workout that uses heavy bag work and sports conditioning techniques to burn fat and tone muscle.

Our safety floor, training equipment, belts, and safety sparring gear is of the best quality and chosen to create an atmosphere of focus & determination.

History

Established in 2013.

Owned and operated by Miss Jamie Barlow, a 4^th Degree Black Belt in the American Taekwondo Association (ATA). She has been training and teaching martial arts since 1997.

Pinnacle Point ATA Martial Arts (PPMA) is an active member of our community. We proactively search for opportunities to donate our time and knowledge to teach Bullying Prevention, Child Safety and Abduction Prevention without charge to church groups, elementary schools, Boy Scout Troops, Girl Scout Troops, as well as others.

We’ve been partnered with Tigress Women’s Self-​Defense, a non-​profit that provides free self-​defense classes for women, since January 2015.

We’re affiliated with Dignity Kids, a non-​profit founded to educated and empower youth through fitness based programs that teach STEM concepts, encourage healthy lifestyles, and promote positive youth development through opportunities to learn, succeed, and belong.

Jamie B.

Business Owner

4^th Degree Black Belt and Nationally Certified Instructor, Jamie Barlow, has been training and teaching martial arts since 1997. She also has been in the business of managing and owning martial arts studios since 2001.

She’s a 5 time Utah State Champion, was named Black Belt of the Year, and has been recognized with a Regional Leadership Award. She holds multiple specialty certifications including Warrior Krav Maga, PPCT (Pressure Point Control Tactics), SHARP (Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention), ATA Protech Weapons, Bully Prevention (Agent G), and Child Safety and Abduction Prevention (SGT. Safety).

She began training in martial arts as a teenager after training for most of her childhood in gymnastics and dance. She is 6^th of 7 children in her family and has had an active hand in raising her 28 nieces and nephews. She developed a love for teaching at a young age. She’s passionate about her work and is committed to changing the world, one Black Belt at a time.
