Fun little place tucked away in Sandy Springs! I was there on a Saturday night and they had a wonderful live band and great drink prices!!!

Super friendly staff and atmosphere, there is a pool table… I push buttons too quickly, plus darts and other bar games. Everyone’s friendly, felt like Cheers first time I was I here. Drink prices best I’ve found close to my place

The place got its groove back! Super friendly staff –Anne-Marie and Pam were excellent. The universe is back in balance as my favorite go-to place in Atlanta. Has good wings and pretzel sticks, english twist fare and staff that treat you like you are family. Beer selection is top notch with local beer on tap.

Cool atmosphere, staff is great(Keith), and food is very good(Scotch Eggs and Meatloaf). Good music and crowd. We were early and watched a couple of games, not too crowded and definitely coming back. Good place, would recommend as a casual, feeing a little Irish kinda place. Like it better than Meehans.

Have been frequenting here quite a bit for a drink after work. The long Islands are really good. Almost too good. The staff is usually only one sever so if it does get busy, this person can get overwhelmed. As long as you know that, you will love this place. It’s a typical bar atmosphere and has outdoor seating. Pool table is right by the juke box and is a fun time. Favorite items on the menu are the lobster and Brie grilled cheese, the wings and the flower pot of fries.

I’m 90% sure they just bulk buy premade food from Costco and sell it to you. It’s horrible for how much they’re charging you for it. Go someplace else.

I have had Bloody Mary’s all over the planet and Rich’s spicy Bloody Mary with a Guiness chaser is one of the best I’ve ever had. I never would have thought of Guiness with it but I’m glad Rich, the man, did! Also, for TMobile customers, lightning fast internet! Must be right next to a tower! A+ service. I ordered the Shepherd’s Pie and hubby got a chicken sandwich. Yum! Ok, his fries were so well cooked I had to get my own order to eat with my lunch! He remarked that he liked the onion straws on his sandwich. We’ll come back for the brunch hash next time!(Ps. On a personal note, if you like a Colin Farrell doppelgänger, come to this bar!). ;)

Our work group has been here several times for happy hour and we’ve always had great service– even with a large crowd. Solid beer list and appetizers– your usual selection of pub fair. The lobster grilled cheese is a must try! The staff is always friendly and quick.

I’m gonna be honest. I was *supposed* to go to the Orange Theory workout class next door… but traffic caused me to run late so I missed it. Since they don’t let you in if you are late, I decided to go drinking to wait for traffic to die down. The staff at Ship & Anchor is wonderful. W O N D E R F U L. With a pretty empty restaurant at 5:45pm it’s easy to be dreary, but everyone was happy and entertaining. The drinks were flowing, conversation was awesome, and the couple appetizers we split were on point. The chef even came out to talk with us to make sure everything was to our liking. I had not previously been in here before, but it’s a great little hideaway from the Roswell Rd madness! I’ll be back again.

That guitarist josh is awesome! Not to mention he is SUPER cute. I always sit up close so that maybe he will see me and talk to me. Creepy huh? OK I admit… Maybe a little. Great lobster grilled cheese too.

went there on a Friday night about 9;30 and the place was dead :(the service was just ok and the beer selection was just all of the usual’s. We were expecting a better beer list and a better atmosphere, we were out that night for a birthday party and had one beer(while looking for another place to go) and left because it was boring ! That being said the place seemed very clean and nice on the inside. I think that if the beer list was expanded and the servers didn’t play Christmas music in July on the jukebox the experience would have been a bit better. may give it another try but won’t go out of my way.

I LOVE to go here on Sundays. It’s not packed but the atmosphere is awesome. Free pool and darts on Sundays. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes are to die for! I was really surprised they have such great food for a pub. Honestly I was surprised by this place in general. When you first walk in, it’s kind of dark and doesn’t seem too inviting. But once I sat down I had a great time. The patrons are all very nice and friendly. The service is excellent. The batendar, Vladimir, is wonderful! He’s quite the mixologist. He makes one shot that tastes like a thin mint Girl Scout cookie! Delicious! Definitely a place to check out. It’s not glitz and glam but its fun.

It’s been a while since my last review, and things have in fact changed at the Ship… for the better, might I add. The bar is under new management, and the individual mentioned in my last review has been let go. They even went so far as to remove the ban on our friend. I will say this too, the guy currently in charge is a pretty cool guy. My friends and I have started going back there for trivia night.

I had been interested in checking this place out since it’s related to Royal Oak pub and I do like that restaurant/bar. It’s pretty much the same. Ship & Anchor is bigger, maybe twice the size. I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same, but the two menus are very similar. There was probably only 3 – 4 customers there when I walked in on a weekday around 1pm. I’m hoping they had a lunch rush that just left, but they didn’t seem to mind the lack of customers. The special soup was one that the chef told me he made up, when he came out to ask me how it was. It was a sweet and spicy chicken soup. I LOVED it. it burnt the heck out of my lips but I could not stop eating it. Chef said it’s got chipotle peppers in it. I’m a wuss. Also, pineapple which is the«sweet» part. I also ordered a Mediterranean salad which was very, very good. Lettuce, olives, tomatoes, etc and two lamb skewers on top. I was impressed with the meat. It was of course no lamb chops, so don’t expect that, but it was savory and cooked well. The service was also very friendly. I’d definitely go back for more food since I really enjoyed what I ordered. I’d love to see their night crowd and also try out their cool patio on a hot day.

Not the best, not the worst. Pro’s – Pimps cup drink. Very different flavor, very good! Waitresses – Good-looking women. Two of them looked like twins and they were doing a pretty good job with heavy trivia traffic. ALso, recommended the pimp cup drink which was a hit Trivia – funny, a little hard Cons Lobster grilled cheese. Really had high hopes for this and it just didn’t hit the spot nor did the french onion soup. Although the French onion soup was better.

OK… well…at the almost constant insistence of my girlfriend, I returned last night(03÷22÷13) to give Ship & Anchor another try. It was decently crowed for a Friday evening, but still had plenty of available seats. The service was top-notch. Our server was very attentive — he checked on us regularly, brought the drinks/food out timely and had a great sense of humor. A true professional. The drinks: I had a Guinness and Shawn had a Strongbow. Both were extremely cold, which was awesome — lots of nearby places serve their beer too warm(I’m talking to you, Taco Mac). The food we ordered was: French onion soup, cheese sticks and french fries(decided to try a something a little simpler than last time). The soup was very good, the cheese sticks were average(they were good, but about what you’d find most places… which was exactly what I hoped for), and the fries were awesome! They were steak fries, which aren’t normally my favorite because most places serve them a little mushy. Not here! They were extremely crisp for their size and came with two dipping sauces of your choice(I chose the gravy and curry). The gravy was awesome, the curry was fine. So, an enjoyable experience. I’m glad I gave them a second chance. I guess my girlfriend can be right sometimes! ;-) lol!
