great service; cakey donuts. I tried salted caramel which was a donut with the filling in the «hole». The concept of filling the hole part of the donut with a flavor is weird. And since I am not a fan of cakey donuts I don’t care for their donuts.

My son told me to check this place out, especially since the Sandy Springs location is a block from my practice. I had a few «less guilty» maple bacon donuts there and brought a business box (16 assorted donuts that is equivalent to a dozen) back to my office. My staff loved them all and the assortment appealed to everyone’s individual tastes. So… the next day I brought a business box to my Roswell office (not far from Davinci’s Alpharetta location) and once again the staff loved them! My favorites are:
Maple bacon, Tiramisu, French Toast
My kids love the Sprinkles, & birthday cake and I took them to the Sandy Springs location today to create their own donuts.

After going to Sublime and Revolution donuts for so long, I decided to try something new. This led to Da Vinci’s Donuts.
These donuts are cake styled, so make sure you’re alright with that. They have a lot of really great flavors, including fresh toast, tiramisu, birthday cake, etc…
Now, if you’re expecting normal sized donuts, be warned. They really bite sized donuts. The downside of that is that it’s hard to share and the fact that they’re just really tiny. The good thing is that you can get a variety and try different flavors. I ended up getting 2 of their dozen packs, which actually ends up being 32 donuts. They throw in an extra 4 per dozen.
The dough is very good, but honestly, compared to revolution donuts, which also has cake styled donuts, it’s not as good. The only flavor that really stuck out to me was tiramisu. That one was DELICIOUS! However, all the other ones were just good. Nothing special.
However, if you love donuts, you should try this place out at least once.

I have only been there a handful of time but everyone who works there is so pleasant… and oh the donuts. Every time im in the ATL i will be going to davinci donuts, they are smaller versions of gourmet goodness allowing me to explore more flavors in a sitting. I do and will definitely recommend this place to anyone and have extraction coffee to boot!

The donuts at Da Vinci’s are adorable. Beautifully decorated and small in size, which makes you feel both fabulous and a little less guilty when you treat yourself to one (or eight) of them.
The shop is small and parking was a tad tricky, as some of the spots in front of it are designated for other businesses. I stopped by just after lunch time on a week day and was able to find a spot, so not impossible.
My guess would be your best bet for Da Vinci’s is to go in the morning when the donuts are at their freshest. While my maple bacon donut was packed with flavor, it was a tad bit stale a few hours from closing time. Warming it up would have probably helped.
Next time I’ll definitely be going a little bit earlier in the day to enjoy a fresher donut with a cup of coffee.

One year after opening its first location in Alpharetta, Da Vinci’s Donuts opened its second location in Sandy Springs in March 2015. This is a nice little doughnut shop, almost boutique in nature, with a bevy of originally created gourmet doughnuts. One thing that sets Da Vinci’s apart from the competition in metro Atlanta (e.g. Sublime, Dutch Monkey, Revolution) is you can create your own custom doughnut here, choosing from icings, toppings, and drizzles. Neat.
Da Vinci’s doughnuts are smaller than traditional doughnuts. I guesstimate a Da Vinci’s doughnut is about ½ to ²⁄₃ the size of a traditional doughnut. Their smaller size is supposed to make you feel less guilty about eating them, but I just end up eating more. At least it makes it easier to try more flavors. Unlike a traditional doughnut shop, Da Vinci’s sells its doughnuts in singles or multiples of four. Here’s what the prices looked like during my visit:

Classic doughnuts are those that have a simple icing like chocolate or caramel, or simple doughnuts like those topped with powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, or sprinkles. Gourmet is where things get fancy. Examples include Cannoli, made with vanilla icing, cream cheese filling, mini chocolate chips, and real cannoli pieces; Dulce de Leche, made with vanilla icing, cream cheese filling, and white sprinkles; Sweet and Salty, made with chocolate icing, caramel drizzle, streusel, and sea salt; and Tiramisu, made with cream cheese filling, caramel drizzle, and cocoa powder. There are 40+ flavors total.
I tried the following doughnuts:
* Key Lime
* French Toast — maple icing, cinnamon swirl, and powdered sugar
* Samoa — chocolate icing, coconut, and caramel drizzle
* Boston Cream — chocolate icing and cream filling
* Maple Bacon — maple icing with real bacon bits
* Chocolate Oreo — chocolate icing with Oreo bits
* Caramel Crunch — caramel icing with Nestle Crunch pieces
* Halloween special doughnut with orange icing, chocolate drizzle, and candy corn
Overall, I thought Da Vinci’s doughnuts were OK. None of the doughnuts blew me away like certain ones I’ve had from Sarah Donuts (cake), Sublime (yeast), or Dutch Monkey (cake). Da Vinci’s doughnuts are cake doughnuts, but they seem lighter and more airy when compared to standard cake doughnuts. While not as dense, they also seem to be drier and less scrumptious.
My favorites were the Chocolate Oreo and Caramel Crunch. No surprise there as I love Oreo cookies and Nestle Crunch chocolate bars. The icing was rich — I just wish there was more of it. All the doughnuts I tried used the exact same base doughnut, so once I’d eaten past the icing, toppings, and drizzles, I was basically eating the same plain doughnut over and over. I’m used to eating more of a variety. For example, some shops offer both cake and yeast doughnuts, or doughnuts of the same type may be made with different flavor mixes (e.g. chocolate, red velvet) or have different shapes, textures, and consistencies.
I wasn’t a big fan of the Key Lime, Samoa, Maple Bacon, nor Halloween special doughnuts. The Maple Bacon is one of their best selling doughnuts. It didn’t really work for me. I guess I just don’t like it when savory bacon is combined with a sweet, icing-​covered doughnut.
Service was great. All of the staff I interacted with greeted me with a smile and were friendly.
The store is bright, open, and spacious with seating for roughly 25 – 30 folks. Doughnuts are constantly being made fresh and put on display in trays behind panes of protective glass at the ordering counter. The menu is handwritten on a black chalkboard wall. In addition to doughnuts, you can order coffee and tea too. Free Wi-​Fi is available.
Spend some time in the store and you will leave smelling like doughnuts.

The little cake doughnuts are magically delicious. They range from $ 1.25−1.75 a piece or they have package deals. My favorite are the cinnamon sugar and strawberry shortcake. these aren’t your typically cake doughnuts either. They are moist and full of flavor. On a given day they offer 10 – 15 varieties to choose from they also have various coffee, tea and soda beverages available. I don’t frequent the area often bc most of the businesses are closed on Sundays when I like to come.
Parking can be a hassle but there is easy access on and off ⁴⁰⁰⁄₂₈₅.
Staff was warm and welcoming as well.

Parking is really limited and mainly full. I got lucky and found a spot. Once you get in, you can see the counter with the available donuts of the day. I believe you can custom make your donuts, but I’m not sure since it was my first time there. The wall on the side has all the prices of the donuts and drinks. Everything is decently priced. I choose the Earl Grey tea, and the 4-​pack, which were the chocolate raspberry truffle, the maple bacon, strawberry shortcake, and salted caramel. I’ve tasted all four and they were pretty good. I can’t wait to try the other ones out. The donuts are pretty small and mini, but they do pack in a lot of flavor. Everything was about $ 7.17, so it’s not too expensive for a college kid, at least compared to other local donut shops. The employee there was super nice, and overall I recommend this place.

I love this place but, they should stay open later. Most people work until 5 or 6 pm so it doesn’t give everyone an opportunity to try it. If they stayed open later they would put Krispy Kreme and dunkin out of business!!!
Oh, my favorite cake donut is the cinnamon roll and French toast. They are too die for! I wished Kennesaw had a Da Vinci’s!!!

Cake donuts! Such a cute place with a darling concept. The Sprinkles version of donuts. Parking is awful! I used the 5 minute parking and was quick and snappy.
My favorite is the strawberry shortcake. The key lime wasn’t very Limey. Bacon maple was delicious! Napoleon was on point!

I like these donuts a lot more than I want to like these donuts and that’s a problem. This place is dangerous. The prices are reasonable and the choices are great. I believe you can also design your own. Another bonus is that at the time of this review, folks with a nut allergy can eat here safely (unlike Dunkin). I’d add that these are not nearly as good on day #2 so go ahead and crush the whole box, Pappy.

Cake donuts! Custom cake donuts!
While I proudly have my hat in the yeast donut ring, I’m not opposed to trying a cake donut every now and then. A reminder of why I dislike them? I don’t know. However, Da Vinci’s has some of the best cake donuts I’ve tried and wouldn’t mind trying again.
We came in 30 mins before closing so they only had a few options left out of their many. We bought a small 4 pack — Maple bacon, Oreo, salted caramel, and a standard cinnamon and sugar. Favorites were the Maple Bacon and the Cinnamon/​Sugar donut, but the oreo and salted caramel were a little too rich and sugary for us to enjoy. Literally felt the instant sugar rush on all of these and had to space out eating them. They were very rich in flavor and sugary goodness.
Their donuts are also pretty small. I’m still confused by the pictures of «theirs and ours» showing a small compact donut to a large donut. I won’t lie, I do like the photo of ‘theirs’ a bit, as in the competitor. It’s the exact same donut, but bigger, maybe that’s the American in me showing… Anyways, it’s a little confusing on what they were trying to convey. «Smaller is better? We have cake donuts? Look, this thing is pretty. Our donuts are like espresso shots in donut form? Their donuts are bigger, but eat ours instead? The age old ‘less is more’?» Either way they are smaller but pack a punch.
Things they have going great for them. Their donuts speak for themselves. They are a cake donut lovers paradise. You can make your own custom donut monster! There are sooo many flavors to choose from. Also, Da Vinci’s lattes/​coffee here isn’t half bad if your preferred method is caffeine over sugar or perhaps both. Hehe.

The associates were courteous and helpful. Good selection of flavors too. My favorite ones were the maple bacon salted caramel. Man! Blew my mind.
I like the to go packaging as well. Like a little pizza box but with donuts!
Would I go there again? Well… I’m craving some of them right now.

I am in love with DaVinci’s donuts! I appreciate that their donuts are half the size of regular donuts so you don’t feel as guilty for eating 2… or 4!
You can choose from their premade donuts or they can make you a custom donut from their fresh ingredients list. As a teaser here are a few of their toppings: Bacon, Oreo, raspberry and strawberry glaze, sprinkles, peanut butter, key lime, Birthday cake, chocolate crumble, salted caramel, tiramisu… the list goes on and on!
I am a sucker for their strawberry shortcake. DaVinci donuts are fresh, moist and cake like. Add on a generous amount of vanilla icing, strawberry glaze and graham cracker crumbles and I am drooling!
They also sell iced coffee, tea, juice and milk. The vanilla iced coffee is a favorite of mine.
While I love their donuts, I don’t understand why they’re closed on Sundays. Lazy Sundays and donuts go hand in hand. I want to support a local business and I hate to keep driving to another donut chain. Maybe one day this will change.

When they are small, you don’t feel quite so guilty eating so many… That’s the problem with these little cake donut bombs of sugary goodness. Before you know it, you’ve downed 6 of them in 5 minutes and you find the need to join a support group immediately.
I grew up with a simple rule… I eat yeast donuts out and cake donuts at home. Why, you ask? Because when my mom would pull out all the equipment required to make the donuts for Christmas morning, they were cake donuts. So I am picky when I decide I’ll eat someone else’s cake donuts… no, really. Typically, I won’t order a cake donut anywhere. I feel like my mom will know and will scold me for it.
However, on an unfortunate week-​long visit to the hospital with pneumonia, a friend brought me a box of these gems as contraband (okay, not really since I didn’t have any food restrictions, but still). I used one or two as bribery to my favorite nurse, but otherwise they were my breakfast for a couple of mornings and I was hooked. So when my buddy, Jose O. wanted to host a UYE here, I was all about it!
The best deal, I think, is what they call the Business Box. It is an assortment of their 16 top sellers in a handy-​dandy pizza-​type box. On the inside of the lid is a flavor key (you know, like you get in a box of Godiva Chocolates). Anyway, pure brilliance. Not only does it take the stress out of making decisions, but it means I get all the good stuff. Usually there is at least one I can’t eat (they Samoa is always popular and has coconut), but it makes for a super quick and easy in and out if I’m in a hurry. Plus, it always includes whatever special donut they have going on.
If you want to be really creative, you can build you own (like Subway) and pick your toppings and they will decorate it in front of you. Perfect for those kids with the crazy combinations… Or maybe strange pregnancy cravings… who knows.
I haven’t met a flavor I don’t like yet, but safe bet anything with their icing is top notch. I’m also a fan of their chocolate. I’ll definitely be a regular as long as I don’t go too overboard. This is a great addition to Sandy Springs.

I recently bought a box of 16 donuts, and boy was I impressed. I was looking to buy some donuts in the area, and this was the closest donut shop around. All the reviews were so positive so I decided to give it a shot.
The location is pretty decent. I feel like it is crammed in between other businesses, but it is visible. They serve milk, chocolate milk, coffee, lattes, etc. I was in a bit of a hurry, so I just chose a bunch of different types of donuts. The ones I remember include: key lime, strawberry shortcake, salted caramel, cinnamon rolls, sugar/​cinnamon, etc. There are so many different types. If they do not have the one you love, they can make it for you! You also have the option of custom making your donuts.
All in all, they are great tasting donuts. I am usually not a donut person but these are really tasty! For 16 little round donuts, I think ~$ 16 is a good price. Especially for these yummy, gourmet donuts!

These donuts are the perfect size. You can eat one (or two) and not feel guilty. They are small cake donuts. They have a variety of flavors or you can create your own. Since I was using a Scout Mob I decided to get a four pack. I tried french toast, cookies n cream, maple bacon, and cinnamon swirl. The maple donut has bacon on it – and I can’t say no to bacon. All of them were great but I think French toast was probably my favorite. They also have coffee and tea.
There is plenty of parking. They’re closed on Sunday and they close at 4pm throughout the week – kinda early.
Anyhoo, I pass this place on my way to work everyday. I can’t wait to stop by again and get a box so my coworkers can try them also.

How does this place only have 10 reviews? Doughnuts & coffee with awesome customer service makes a great triad for happiness. I had some free time in Sandy Springs so I came here from a Unilocal + scout mob search. I got the 4 pack for doughnuts and some strawberry kiwi iced herbal tea. Yummm. 4 was kind of heavy for me, but I couldn’t resist them all in the end. The doughnuts are on the smaller side which was good so I can pick a few different ones. The doughnuts are fluffy, but light sweetness wise so I liked that. The iced tea was pretty good too, but I would recommend probably drinking it hot.
Doughnuts — maple bacon: amazing! My favorite. The maple taste complimented the bacon well. I think this is one of their best sellers.
Salted Caramel — 2^nd favorite. It was the perfect salty and caramely ratio and not too overwhelming.
Key Lime — this one was ok. It was a little underwhelming for me. It was subtle and I didn’t get that key lime taste associated.
Tiramisu — this one was overwhelming for me. It didn’t really taste like tiramisu to me but it was definitely chocolaty. :P
Free wifi and plugs available. Great study and hang out spot.

I love donuts. I was attending a conference in the area and decided to see what donut spots were nearby. Da Vinci’s popped up. I had bookmarked the Alpharetta location after hearing good things about them. So I was very happy that there was a new location closer by. After the conference, I stopped by to check them out. It was around 2pm in the afternoon so it was not very busy and I was helped right away.
These donuts are smaller than your average donut. However, this means that I would be able to try out various kinds I think about 3 – 4 donuts will serve the average person well. I decided to get 4. Little did I know that you can get a 4-​pack that saves you a little money over buying individual donuts ($ 4.95 plus tax). The donuts are all cake donuts with various toppings. With the help of the staff, I picked out: maple bacon (she told me that was the best seller), french toast (her personal favorite), samoa (I love the Girl Scout cookie, so why not), and cookies and cream (it was between that and cinnamon sugar and the staff recommended this one).
Verdict: The best was samoa. Yummy! Not too much coconut. Wonderfully sweet throughout. The others were all about the same. The cookies and cream was nothing special. The french toast was neat but the sweetness of it was hit or miss. I was expecting a bit more. The maple bacon was pretty good. I think I could have used a bit less bacon, but it was not overwhelming.
Take home: I still like Sublime better, but I can expect that I will visit again when in the area and try out some new flavors as they have a wonderful variety. But I will ALWAYS get samoa if it is on hand.
