Mid-​Day Play specializes in Dog Walking, Pet Sitting and In Home Vacation Care and Private Swimming in the summer! As a pet care professional, I am insured, CPR and pet first aid certified, and committed to helping owners find solutions to their pet’s needs. Mid-​Day Play also can provide taxi service for those times when you just can’t find the time to get the dog to the groomer or vet for a routine check up or, if you are boarding with us, we can do pick up or drop off.

History

Established in 2011.

I started this business to help people feel comfortable with leaving their pets for extended periods of time in a quiet, stress free environment. Whether that be in our home, or yours, your pet will benefit greatly. Keeping dogs out of confined spaces for extended periods of time is my goal. I also enjoy helping owners feel comfortable leaving animals in my care which allows them to have a worry free vacation!

At the age of 30, I decided to go back to school to finish my degree. After 2 years at NIU I received a BS in Biology with a minor in Environmental Science. Prior to that, I had worked at Brookfield Zoo as an Assistant Zoo Keeper in the Children’s Zoo, volunteered at Willowbrook Wildlife, worked at Cosley Animal Farm, a pet store and an emergency vet clinic. I have owned many, many different animals including some exotics. I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid, licensed by the state of Illinois as a boarding facility, a member of Association of Pet Sitting Excellence (APSE), Sandwich Chamber and Yorkville Chamber member.
