History

Established in 2004.

Attorney Yates began a solo practice in 2004 after working with a local Hyannis firm for a number of years. During his time in practice Attorney Yates has been fortunate enough to see many of the important changes and trends in his firm’s specialties, especially in MassHealth applications and estate planning. Area attorneys have found the depth of his knowledge in these areas, which dovetail with the more general fields of business planning and asset protection, as a valuable resource.

Attorney Tim McNamara joined the firm in 2011, just before Massachusetts completely overhauled its probate code (MUPC). Since that time Attorneys McNamara and Yates have worked hard to help clients navigate the MUPC as the courts catch up with caseload associated with these changes.

Attorney Yates received his Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law in 1998. After working for a Hyannis law firm for 5 years, Attorney Yates opened his office in April of 2004.

Attorney Yates accepts cases in the areas of Business Law, Estate Planning & Asset Preservation, Long Term Care Planning, Estate Administration (Probate), and Veterans Benefits Counseling.

Attorney Yates is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States District Court of Massachusetts. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
