I was craving froyo while on a business trip in Sandusky and was bummed to find there was none at all according to Unilocal… that is, until I found myself wandering the Sandusky Mall during my downtime.(Also, after leaving the mall I noticed there was a Menchi’s across the street that I think I would have preferred; since I already know I love Menchi’s.) Unlike most froyo places, this one is nestled in a small area of a mall that doesn’t truly have a food court. They had 8 different flavors, but only 7 were working. Being from Circleville, when I saw the pumpkin pie flavor I just knew I had to try it. When I asked for a sample, the guy warned me that they had run out of their«normal» pumpkin pie flavor, and had to mix this on the spot, so it may not be as good as usual. It wasn’t terrible, but it had too much spice to the flavor. I ended up going with triple chocolate on top of salted carmel pretzel. It was decent, but nothing spectacular. There really weren’t too many options compared to some other froyo locations I’ve been to, but part of this had to be because of the layout and smallish size of the store. It’s not bad Overall, it’ll do in a pinch, but given additional options I wouldn’t likely choose Melon.
