This place is very close to my apartment, so I decided to give it a try. My dad loves a good diner, so I took him with me. We went around lunch time, and it was predictably crowded. Despite this, there only seemed to be one waitress available for about six tables – the other was doing something at the register. As a result, we waited about 20 minutes after receiving waters and menus for someone to come take our order. The waitress was perfectly friendly and competent, it just took forever for her to get to us. My dad ordered a turkey reuben with fries and I got a veggie burger with a side salad. My salad came out first, and was terrible. It seemed to be comprised of 90% iceberg lettuce, 5% cheese, and 5% green pepper. My dressing(ranch) was fine. About 1⁄3 of the lettuce was browning, and the salad in general was very wet and unpleasantly textured. My veggie burger was wonderful, and my dad liked his reuben and fries. The total bill was around 14 dollars, which is pretty darn good. Despite the low prices, I don’t think I’ll be back. There are a lot of diners around here, and little things like long wait times and brown lettuce make a big difference.

Came here to meet up with a friend who lives in a far away land… this happens to be about half way. Gosh do I love me a diner breakfast sometimes. This place had just the ticket. I had two pieces of Texas toast French toast and two eggs for like $ 5 or something. D ordered off the lunch menu and had a quesadilla. He also enjoyed the fare. Total bill was $ 18 and we both ordered pop and he got coffee as well. Can’t beat that. The décor and the inside are pretty typical of a diner. The servers were friendly and it was a good place to take two small kids who could make a bit of a mess and be a bit noisy and it was OK. Next time we meet half-way for lunch, this place will be on the list!

We used to go there every Sunday after church and we always had Kaitlyn as our server. She is the best!!! We came early and had Christine as our server and we will never be back!!! Christine was so incredibly rude and very unapologetic. I have never had worse service in my life. On a side note, they refuse to fix their high chairs so if you have a little one, go elsewhere.

Don’t judge the book from its cover! The place is a small and on the outside looks like it could use some love. But the food here cheap and delicious! A meal for two and two coffee cost us only $ 13. This small diner was the best idea ever before a long day at cedar point. Located just 10 mins from cedar point.

Small home town family restaurant that serves a delicious breakfast. Reasonably priced. Two breakfast platters and coffee for less than $ 20.

Tried this place for the first time. My boyfriend wanted a small diner type breakfast. This place was the perfect choice. We got there around 1PM and were the only customers in the establishment. He got the big breakfast and i opted for the florentine quesadilla which was amazing. Chicken, tomato, spinach, and feta on a tortilla with a side of sour cream… Yum.

Took my family here just before a trip to cedar point. Small diner style restaurant, comfort home cooking, with great eggs and tators!!! Service was on point. Staff was very attentive. We sat by the window, the food was comforting but the surrounding area was not. Come hungry, leave happy but lock your car!

Very friendly crew of workers. I think it’s family owned. They give this feel of small hometown familiarity and comfort. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles. Our waitress was even curious as to were we were from and seemed intrigued, offering us safe travels. Our meal was delicious as well as affordable. I got the vegetable omelette and my boyfriend got the pancakes with eggs and choice of meat. Super delicious!

A small, hometown breakfast nook with friendly service and hometown cooking at reasonable prices. We stopped here as we were passing through, would have considered trying out lunch if we were staying in the area. If you are looking for a homey, comfortable stop for breakfast or lunch, this is a good fit.

The outside won’t grab your attention, but you might notice the sign for the other half of the building(Joe Sundae). We were there at lunchtime, and we asked our server for recommendations. She said try the soup, try the Reuben, or try the perch sandwich. My wife and I both ordered soup, and both soups were outstanding. The perch had an unique batter that my wife enjoyed, and I really liked my Reuben. The owner came over to make sure we were happy, and we were both very satisfied with our food. We had been at the Carousel Museum nearby, and asked the server for other recommendations for a rainy day. She gave us some great options, and we were glad we found this little place.

My family and I have been visiting the Better Half for years now and look forward to it each time we visit Cedar Point. This little dinner is an eclectic mix of tastes, as the dinner clearly reflects the«his» and«hers» sides of the establishment. The service has always been nothing but stellar and the food will stuff you/stick to your ribs! Perfect for a long drive home to Indiana after a fabulous weekend at the Roller Coast. Unilocalers, should you ever find yourself in the Sandusky area, give these fine folks a shot and be sure to grab one of their tasty coffees!

Basic breakfast and coffee… I like the décor but the place has went down a bit since the old owners sold the place.

Good basic all American coffee shop fare, friendly service, this is a regular for locals. I have been for breakfast several times, and was always treated efficiently, with a smile and occasional conversation by the wait staff. I’m on my way there this AM for breakfast with the newspaper.

This family diner looked very promising from the outside: Nice downtown location, kitschy decorations, and lots of locals. However, after seating ourselves and ordering(mostly omelets), our waitress disappeared for 30 minutes. 10 minutes later, 2 omelets arrived(there were 6 in our party). 5 minutes later a third came, and eventually our entire party got their food(approximately 40 – 45 minutes after ordering). When we enquired about the wait, the waitress reminded us that«breakfast takes 45 minutes» and that«you should know that». The food itself was acceptable– I’ve had much worse, but I wouldn’t drive out of my way for it. We asked to see a manager before we left and they gave us a very slight discount on the meal while explaining that«complicated» orders like ours just take a long time to cook. This, however, did not explain how two separate groups of people managed to arrive after us, be served promptly, eat, pay their check, and leave prior to us receiving food. The bottom line: Cedar Point tourists beware! If you are not a local, expect slow service and a bad attitude.
