Most of us have heard the old saying, «Never ask a barber if you need a haircut. The answer is always yes.» That doesn’t apply to Dr. Wotowic, and I think it says volumes about his character and professionalism. I made an appointment to discuss my options regarding the aging of my face. By the time I left, I had a much better understanding of my options, but was basically talked OUT of doing anything. This wasn’t a rejection or a refusal on the part of Dr. Wotowic; it was simply the result of his helping me to get a proper perspective on the situation, and weighing the costs, benefits, and risks of the procedures. We discussed injectibles, surgical procedures, side effects and risks, the psychological and cultural influences on our perception of aging and beauty, and even some options for a few scars I have from previous surgeries many years ago.
The end result was a 5-​year «wait and see» plan, with a few mildly invasive options for consideration in the future. Since it would have been quite easy to sell me on doing something that would put money in his pocket, this really impressed me. Dr. Wotowic is the sort of doctor who will spend the time to educate you, then offer his professional opinion, and will take your decision into account only after this has been accomplished. No hard-​sell, no «just trust me, I know best,» and no B.S. You don’t find that very often these days, so I highly recommend that you consider Dr. Wotowic if you’re thinking about having reconstructive or cosmetic surgery, even if it’s just to weigh your options.

I was referred to Dr Wotowick by my GP for breast reduction. From the initial visit he listened carefully to what I wanted and was very honest and clear with his explanation of the procedure and the outcome. The surgery went very well as he predicted and the result was exactly what I hoped it would be. Dr Wotowick is an excellent plastic surgeon and his staff are amazing and I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Wotowic simply said is a genius! I am very impressed with his work.
I recently had a full face lift along with fore head lift etc. I have very elastic stretchy skin… that usually bruises easily. I was thrilled that I never had any bruising at all after my surgery. Speaks loud volumes to the gentleness and expertise of the surgeon… Not only is Dr. Wotowic professional but I always felt he was honest and caring… and seems to take pride in making his patients happy with the results. I would highly recommend Dr. Wotowic for any surgical procedure…

Let me start by saying that Dr. Wotowic and his staff are amazing!
My son (12 years old) suffered from low self esteem due to ears that he felt stuck out too far. I asked my son if he would like to have his ears «fixed» and he said yes. We spoke to his pediatrician and asked for a referral and she was adamant that we contact Dr. Wotowic.
I was very nervous about our consultation and the thought of my son having surgery. Dr. Wotowic immediately set my mind at ease. He was so thorough in his explanation of my son’s upcoming «Otoplasty» surgery. He explained why his ears were the way they were and told my son, in words that he would understand, exactly what he was going to do during the procedure to correct them. I and my son left feeling very reassured about his upcoming transformation.
The day of the surgery Dr. Wotowic was again explaining exactly to us what he was going to do during the procedure. He really made my son feel comfortable and I knew that he was in good hands. After the procedure, Dr. Wotowic came out and talked to me and told me all the steps and precise measurements of what he did and said that my son should be very happy. He even called the next day to check on my son and see if we had any questions.
At my son’s follow up appointment, we were all excited to see the result when the bandage came off. My son was ecstatic with the results and I was almost in tears seeing the results and the smile on my sons face.
It has now been almost 3 months since his Otoplasty surgery and my son is a different person. He has self esteem now and has cut his hair short allowing for his ears to show. He even dresses different now too. I find him looking at himself in the mirror and saying how happy he is that he had this done and how much he likes Dr. Wotowic.
Dr. Wotowic is an amazing person and surgeon. He genuinely cares about his patients and it definitely shows. He is very thorough in his consultation and takes the time to really get to know you and what it is that you want. If you are looking for a plastic surgeon Dr. Wotowic is definitely the one to call.

The whole staff of this office is amazing! Dr. Wotowic really takes the time to listen, and always has the patients best interest at heart. I could not be happier with the results of my surgery! I would recommend Dr. Wotowic to anyone!

Dr. Wotowic did a fantastic job on my abdominoplasty; it turned out better than I dreamed. His office is staffed with friendly and professional staff and everything about my experience was 100% positive. Dr. Wotowic has great credentials and fabulous recommendations. If I ever need another procedure, I won’t go anywhere else.

As an R.N. with the understanding of what it takes to be an excellent Plastic Surgeon– I think Dr Wotowick nails it! He is a consummate professional, balancing the medical with the artistic beautifully. I am so happy that my GP Dr. recommended him to me! I didn’t even realize how hard and misshapen my old implants had become because I had been living with them for years! I also had some other medical issues that he went the extra mile and got feedback on from other specialists before my procedure. I’d recommend him in a heartbeat and hopefully will use him again for other procedures in the future. He gave me natural looking, soft breasts, can barely see the scar– I feel great!

Dr. Wotowic is such an amazing man, so gifted! I completely trusted him with my double mastectomy & reconstruction. He is a great listener and also helped put my husband at ease about the whole process. I would highly recommend him & his staff!

By the Grace of God I was referred to Dr Wotowick to possibly correct my double masectomy reconstruction.
Dr Wotowick listened to me, then asked me to trust him and I did. GRATEFUL.
Today was my post op, I cannot put into words how relieved I am…

I was lucky enough to have insurance to cover Dr Wotowic’s consultation and surgery as he came very highly recommended. He is a very honest doctor and highly skilled. I came to him after having radiation in one if my breasts and he was able to make me look normal again! How do I know he did a good job? just ask my husband ! There could be no better endorsement of his work! This doctor is amazing not just in the work he does but as a person in general. He is quite the Philosopher. He is kind and gentle at heart. He strives for perfection in his work and is always critiquing himself even though his work is beyond perfection! He is an amazing doctor and i feel privileged to have found him! His work beyond excellent and I could not have found a better surgeon. I have seen him work with other patients on procedures that were difficult to finance and he always some how makes it work for them. He is simply a Humanist. Thank you Dr Wotowic !!!

I came in the office to schedule a surgery for a removal of old scar during my new C section. After over an hour of wait he finally looked at my scar and gave me a quote. I agreed to the quote and have the time and date of my surgery. About a month later 10. Days before my surgery I called the office to confirm and they told me that he will charge double the amount that he quoted me. They waited to the last minute to change their price! And they sent me a bill for initial consultation!!! He is a scam artist. This kind of doctors should be banned from practicing.

He has done many restorative procedures for me. He is amazing! He is a master at his trade but more importantly safety comes first! I found it comforting that all the hospital staff that I came in contact with spoke so highly of him and his work! I’ve had scar tissue from my abdomen removed and my muscles fixed, implants removed and most recently double preventative mastectomies. Very happy with his work. He doesn’t advertise, it’s all word of mouth referrals!

Dr. Wotowic is a genius! Three an a half years ago I had a left breast mastectomy due a cancerous lump. He was so very thorough in getting to know me and my lifestyle that I’ve felt I had an advocate all along the way. He explained to me that breast reconstruction is a process and gave me support while I was undergoing chemo & radiation therapies. His dedication to aethetics is remarkable.
Both he and his staff have taken such care to give me support and I feel as if they have been focused on my recovery alone. As a single woman this can be a very daunting time but I have to say, his approach to my appearance gave me such a boost confidence. Fair or not, society places and emphasis on beauty.
I have undergone a number of reconstructive surgeries and believe I’ve had my last just two weeks ago. He chose a method of fat grafting to fill in the area in which an implant could not. Judging from the response from everyone I’ve shown my result, including Dr. W and his staff, I have a gorgeous bustline. WOWZER! I can’t thank him and the office enough but if you are looking for a plastic or reconstructive sugeon, he is your man.

Dr. Watowic is an amazing surgeon! He is a perfectionist who takes the patients lifestyle and needs into consideration. He is very honest about the procedures, and what is the best choice for the patient. He is an extremely intelligent and educated individual who will also add a profound philosophical aspect to your visit. You will not be disappointed if you chose Dr. Watowic!

Wow… how honest and kind nature is this guy! Came for consultation and really appreciated the time he took to explain my issue! He also said it was too early to do anything and that he would not do treatment on me… he actually told me to wait… how HONEST is that! I hope I don’t have to see him again lol, but if i do he’s the man!

We were referred to Dr. Wotowic after MOHS surgery to remove cancer from my partner’s face. The word «cancer» is frightening enough, much less also having to worry about what your face will look like later. He made incredible recommendations and used his unique talent that resulted in the complete removal of all of the cancer as well as minimal scarring with an actual improvement in appearance. In these days of «Managed Care» and health care changes, it was a blessing to be in such skilled hands and to be treated like he was a special person, not a number. This is what medicine is at it’s best!

I was referred to Dr. Wotowick by my primary care physician, Dr. Louie. I had told him that if his wife or daughter needed to see a plastic surgeon regarding their breasts, who would he see and he said «hands down Dr. Paul Wotowick.» My story actually has to do with my 19 year old daughter who has struggled with what was identified by Dr. Wotowick as «breast petosis», where the breasts hang down like a sack of potatoes or pears. You can imagine the body image situation that my daughter has dealt with all these years. We wanted Dr. Wotowick to take a look and determine if something can and should be done.
From the moment we walked into the office, I knew we were in good hands. All the women in there are so friendly, especially Heather who greats you when you walk in. Her caring demeanor and warm smile put your mind at ease before you even see the Doctor.
My daughter was very nervous. Imagine being a 19 year old girl with what she felt were deformed, not normal breasts and allowing a male doctor to look at them. Dr. Wotowick put her mind at ease right from the get go. He explained to her what type of breasts she had and how he could help her and what she could expect from having the surgery. He took a great deal of time explaining, answering questions and putting my mind at rest that we were doing the right thing.
The day of surgery, my husband, daughter and I were all nervous. How was it going to look? Would she be happy? When the surgery was completed, Dr. Wotowick came out to talk with us and he said «it took me a little longer than anticipated because I wanted my „finishing“ work to be perfect.» He said «I treated her as if she were my own daughter.» You have NO idea how that made my husband and I feel! During the first week of recovery, it was a bit rough for my daughter. We had to come in to the office to get the bandage they wrap around you in surgery loosened a bit. No matter how many times I called the office with questions during this time, they always took my call, gave me suggestions and were more than willing to see her if I felt we needed to come in.
My daughter is now post op 4 months and she couldn’t be happier! Dr. Wotowick has changed her life and she and her parents couldn’t THANK him enough!

When a doctor completes his residency at an institution such as Yale New Haven hospital, that doctor receives superior training. When I look in the mirror at my face each morning, I see the results of that superior training. I am very happy that I was referred to Doctor Wotowic, who completed surgery on my lower lip after I had a MOHs procedure to remove a cancerous polip. Dr. Wotowic will be the doctor I call should I ever need a plastic surgeon again! He does fantastic work!

I had a procedure done in 2007 by Dr. Wotowic, and to this day I am still thrilled with the results. Someone had previously posted on Unilocal that he is «meticulous» which happens to be the exact term I use to describe his work to my friends and acquaintances. I sincerely feel Dr. Wotowic is one of the best (if not THE best) and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of plastic surgery.

Never did I think I would be posting a Unilocal review as personal as this but I figured Unilocal is like the Bible to some of us!!!
A very good friend recommended me to Dr. Wotowic. For years or should I say for the majority of my life I’ve struggled with HUGE HUGE breasts.
Dr. Wotowic did my friend’s breast reduction and she has been ranting and raving about him like he was GOD.
I never in my life, had a male doctor. Not even my is dentist a male. I was so uncomfortable just filling out the paper work in the lobby that I was sweating like a wh*re at a confessional. I even had my friend texting me for support and telling me do not walk out. I was just getting a consultation but it felt as though I was going to get skinned alive.
The office is super clean and the girls were sooooooooooo friendly!!! One even (forgot her name) pleasantly surprised me by wishing me a happy belated birthday :)
Once Dr. Wotowic came in to see me all my nerves were out the door. He was so pleasant and friendly and informative. I knew my breasts were in the right hands. LOL
Dr. Wotowic made sure I was comfortable and he explained everything in detail to me. He discussed the options on which he could do my reduction and even informed me of which one was best for me.
I left Dr. Wotowic’s office hopeful that once and for all soon, these breasts will be gone :)
Please note, it takes about 6 weeks to get a consultation from him. So if you have to reschedule, you’re doing yourself a real injustice because you would have to wait another 6 weeks.
